You got inside the shop as usual, but to your surprise, Jungkook wasn't there.. You got confused because Jungkook never snitches his work.. Like NEVER!!

You walked up to the counter, and got greeted by taehyung's boxy smile, which made you smile back...

Taehyung: Good afternoon Y/nie!!

He said in a cheerful tone..

Y/n: Good afternoon taehyung..

You said with the same enthusiasm..

Taehyung: Please have a seat...

He said gesturing you the sit down, but you just stood there, lost in your thoughts..

Taehyung: Umm... Y/n?? What happened??

He said, making you snap out of your thoughts..

Y/n: Oh.. No thanks.. Just wonder where Jungkook is.. Do you know??

Taehyung: He took a leave.. He didn't say the reason though.. Why would you ask though??? Oh.. I think you can only digest the coffee made by him right??

He asked, wiggling his eyebrows teasing you, making you roll your eyes at him...

Y/n: Shouldn't be your concern... And stop assuming whatever you're assuming and do what you are suppose to do...

You huffed angrily and he just laughing it off..

Taehyung: Fine.. Sit there I'll bring you your coffee and don't worry about Jungkook.. He's fine.. He'll be back here tomorrow...

He said and laughed again but you just ignored him and sat on your usual place, beside the window... He gave you your coffee after a while and you started drinking it but your mind was only thinking about Jungkook..

You were very worried... Actually, he told you that today he'll take you somewhere to discuss something important.. And as far as you have known Jungkook, he is not the type of person who'll lie on your face, neither break any promise he makes..

You tried taking another sip from your cup but felt nothing touching your lips.. You snapped out of your thoughts and looked at the cup and found it empty.. You've drank it all and didn't even realize...

You sighed and just shrugged your thoughts off..You kept the bill on the table and left the shop...

You went to the park to get some fresh air as you didn't have much to do today.. You sat near the lake and looked up at the sky.. A colony of bird flew above your head, twittering.. The cold wind hitting your face sent shivers down your spin... You closed your eyes leaned backwards a bit, heaving a deep sigh as you relaxed yourself...

Not long after you had been here, you heard some faint noise... Sounded more like whimpers... It was coming from behind you but you couldn't really figure out where it was actually coming from..

You frowned your eyebrows as you got up from your place... You listened carefully as you slowly followed the sound.. As you went forward, the bushes and trees around you increased in number.... Thought it was a park.. But it's a whole damn forest in the corner..

Pushing your way through the bushes, you finally came to the exact place where the sound was coming from... You spotted a huge oak tree you've never seen before though you've been to this park many times..

And a small figure sitting under it.. Curled up into a small ball, hugging his knees.. His face was shoved into his arms and shoulders were moving up and down... He's crying...

You watched for some time, hesitating if you should go to comfort him or not... But his crys just increased as time went by so, you decided to approach him...

You slowly put your hand on his shoulder, making him flinch as he looked up at you... Your heart stopped at the sight in front you..

Y/n: J-Jungkook??

You called out, shocked... He was startled at your presence as well.. His eyes were blood red from crying for god knows how long... His cheeks were stained with his tears and his hair was all messed up...

Even after seeing you, tears kept on escaping his eyes non-stop.. He opened his mouth to say something but it only came out as a sob..

You wanted to ask him what had happened but you thought it wasn't the right time to ask... You slowly lift your hand that was on his shoulder and put it behind his neck, pulling him into a warm hug...

Your heart was beating really fast at how close you two were and you could feel his heart beating twice as fast as your as if it's gonna pop out any time... You took a deep breath and calmed yourself first and then slowly rubbed his back to calm him down...

Jungkook: Y-Y/n...

He said in an almost inaudible voice as he let out another sob.. You could feel your shoulders slowly getting drenched in his tears and you don't know why but it hurted you...

Y/n:Shhhh.. It's ok.. Just let it out...

You said.. In a millisecond, he shoved his face in your shoulder and started crying his heart out.. You kept on patting his back, trying to calm him down... Your hand caressed his soft, fluffy hair which seem to do some work in calming him down...

After a long time, he finally stopped crying.. Not totally as he was still sniffing.. You finally decided to ask him about what in the world had happened that he was crying that hard...

Y/n: Jungkook-ah.. What had happened? Why are you so upset?? Did anyone hurt you??

You asked in a soft tone.. You eyes immediately filled with worry as you saw another tear roll down his cheek.. He looked down and spoke..

Jungkook: My Eomma..

He said in a very low voice...

Jungkook: She is diagnosed with bone marrow cancer..

He said, his voice cracking at the end made your heart break into two... He continued speaking as you just listened without uttering a word..

Jungkook: Today, as I was a-about to leave for w-work, my eomma suddenly f-fainted in the k-kitchen.. S-She had a v-very high fever and she had lost a l-lot of weight.. I d-don't know h-how I didn't notice it...

He paused for a while before continuing...

Jungkook: Taking her to the c-clinic, the d-docter said that she has b-bone marrow cancer stage 2 and her c-chances for survival is v-very less...

He completed, new tears covering the old stains in his cheeks.. This time, without giving it a second thought, you pulled him into a tight yet warm hug and spoke..
