EIGHTEEN;

DISASTER EVER AFTER

"Laura," Derek growled over the phone, his eyes glancing over to the blonde in the passenger's seat, completely oblivious to the conversation due to the headphones blaring music so loudly his ears were going to begin bleeding. "I'm going to end up killing her if she doesn't shut that stupid music off. Can't we meet up somewhere so I can drop her off with you?"

The brunette woman snorted on the other end of the line. "Yeah, right. We both know how she gets whenever she's on her period. I'm not letting her anywhere near my car when she's like that. You're on your own, baby bro. I'm almost at the new house anyways, so just endure the music and pray that her phone doesn't die."

"I hate you," he snapped, his hand tightening on the wheel as he felt his claws begin to extend out of his rage toward his older sister.

Laura only snickered from the other end of the phone, ending the call with a single, "Love you too!" before there was a dull sound of a buzzing line. The younger boy let out another snarl before putting his phone back in his pocket, giving another glance over at the blonde to make sure that she was still occupied on Nirvana's lyrics and not biting his head off because he refused to buy her chocolate at the last gas station. However, to his horror, he realized that there was the aching visual of an apple falling on her screen before the phone went black.

That was when Sage pulled her headphones from her ears and glanced over at Derek. "My phone's dead."

"That's unfortunate," he muttered, eyes narrowing on the road ahead to see that they were about to pass another gas station in a minute or so. "The car charger is with Laura, anyway. She said that she's almost at the new house so that means half of the furniture will be on the ground before we even arrive."

"Derek," Sage called, her lips in a tight line as she stared at him with a baffled look. "My phone is dead. I can't listen to Kurt Cobain's beautiful voice anymore, and all of my annoying friends from Seattle probably think that you got us killed with your shitty driving. Which, I honestly would mind, considering it would just keep them from asking more questions— but still. My phone is dead; and, I need to pee."

He rolled his eyes. "Thanks for letting me know."

Sage narrowed her green irises on the man, wanting nothing more than to shove her foot in his face and hope to God he crashed through the glass. Sadly, she couldn't considering it would only end up affecting her more than it would affect him, and had to control the anger that she was beginning to feel towards the older man by turning on the radio as her surrogate substance of music. Unlike her phone, the only lyrics that spluttered from the piece of machinery were ACDC and Aerosmith. It happened to be the only highlight of her day ever since she got into this car.

Even with the voice of Steven Tyler, the blonde girl still found herself glaring at the head of the werewolf in the seat next to her. There was a lack of understanding between them, mostly because while she began suffering through puberty two years ago, Derek didn't even remotely know what it felt like to have a monthly cycle of Niagra Falls happening in his uterus. It was also revolving around the fact that she didn't want to move to Phoenix, but because the man fucked up and nearly revealed his ability to howl and change into a wolfman, they were forced to relocate.

"Derek, I swear to God," she hissed, giving him a harsh look as he continued to stare straight ahead. "If you don't stop the car right now, your blood with not be the only thing in this car. I will literally murder you in front of a crowd of people and sell your organs for money. You know how much wolf heart is going to give me? A hell of a lot more than your consistent negativity."

A fifteen year old Sage Connelly on her period was not a wrath anyone wanted to face, and Laura knew that better than anyone after all of the long car rides she was forced to endure with the demon blonde. Not only was she aggressive, but she also seemed like she had the capability of actually murdering someone and selling their organs. That was possibility the entire reason that Derek Hale even pulled into the gas station, knowing very well not to underestimate the small blonde.

The gas station was overall shit, extremely run-down and looking as if it hadn't been painted in a thousand years. The inside of it happened to be the most appealing thing from what the two could see, especially when Sage's attention fell on the rows of food that resided beyond the doors of the place. The blonde only let out a small cry of excitement, the cramps that were beginning to destroy her life dismissed when she noticed all of the things that she could shove into her mouth for the rest of the journey.

Sage didn't waste a single second before jumping out of the car when Derek finally parked, but just before she left, she reluctantly turned around to stick her head through the window of his Camaro to glare at the man. "If you leave me here, I will tell Laura and she will kill you— and, when she's done with you, I'm going to bring you back like Frankenstein and kill you myself. Now, give me ten dollars."

Derek didn't even flinch at the girl's threat, much more convinced that she would fall into a food coma before she ever had the chance of killing him. Even then, his face contorted slightly in confusion at the final statement, wondering what she needed money for if she was just peeing. "What do you need ten dollars for?"

"Derek," Sage deadpanned, blinking once with her mouth wide open. "There's food in gas stations."

He glowered at the teenage girl before shifting through his pockets until he found his wallet, coming up with a twenty dollar bill instead of the ten that she asked for. Before he could even convince her not to spend all of it, she had snatched it from his hands and moved her body out of the window and to the gas station. He couldn't help but scoff, wanting nothing more than for this trip to be over so that he could duct tape the girl to a chair and pray her mouth stays closed for a few hours so he and Laura can get something accomplished with the new house.

Just before she was out of view, he found himself wanting to take revenge for all the wholehearted threats that she threw his way, moving so that he could shout out the open window. "You better pee fast!"

The blonde didn't even glance back, just stuck her hand into the air and gave the older boy a middle finger that he couldn't help but snort at. He supposed that himself and Laura didn't do the best job at raising her through her teenage youth, but she definitely could have turned out much worse. At this point, himself and his sister were just lucky that she didn't wind up in a mental institution with how many things she was forced to accept in the five years they have been stuck together.

The twenty one year old had taken over the role of Sage's older brother in a way, and although he knew that there would never be a way to replace her actual deceased brother, Luke, he continued to try his best to prove that everything he did was only to protect her. Derek used to be a teenage boy, which means he knows how they think and what they'll do just to take advantage of a pretty girl. He knew because he used to surround himself with those guys, all of his basketball team talking about how many girls they slept with at the last party.

As the only guy in Sage's life, he had to take that authoritative figure of a best friend, a brother, and a father all at the same time. Laura could only do so much to teach the girl to be independent, both Hale's knowing that the blonde was going to find herself consumed in a relationship that was only going to be destruction. It wasn't something that they could shield her from, both having gone through their fair share of lethal loves, but something that she was going to have to experience and grow from. He just hadn't realized how close of an event that would be.

In the time that he shifted through static radio channels, there was a harsh scent in the air that was too bitter and pungent for him not to notice. Derek's head had quickly lifted up, blue eyes glowing as he let out a growl when he stared into the gas station that Sage was currently in. The man was out of the car in a matter of seconds, engine still running despite the risk of someone stealing such an expensive and intricate car. The second that he skidded into the gas station, barely minding the incessant sound of the bell above, he was relieved to see that Sage was just talking to some boy near the candy section, a bright smile on her face as she nodded at him. The teenager that she was talking to looked average, his posture relaxed as he sported a regular hoodie and pair of jeans. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary.

Nothing, of course, until he caught where the scent of a werewolf was coming from and realized that the fear he was afraid of had been true, and Sage was standing directly in front of another creature of the night. The instinctual knowledge to get the blonde as far away from him kicked in, Derek quickly moving his feet in the direction of the blonde until he grabbed a hold of her arm, the candy that she was carrying falling to the floor with a depressing slap.

"Hey, Derek," Sage greeted, a smile on her face that differed from the death glare she had been giving earlier, her finger moving to point out to the boy in front of her. "This is Aiden."

Derek's eyes narrowed on the boy, his grip still tightly around Sage as he refused to let her go until he was positive that this boy wasn't a threat to them. He wasn't going to live in the same town as a bunch of murderous werewolves, knowing plenty well that the statistics for his survival weren't in his favor despite how hard he could punch a person. Even if he had a chance, the man wasn't going to put Laura and Sage in that kind of danger no matter how well they could protect themselves.

The werewolf, Aiden, seemed to understand that he was standing on uncharted territory when it came to the blonde, his own eyes never leaving Derek's as the two practically tempted each other. Only when Sage asked what was going on did his eyes drop from the burning gaze of the man, turning to the blonde that he just met and giving her a smile that didn't meet his eyes as well as he was hoping.

"It was cool to meet you," he said, giving the blonde a nod. "I'll see you around. I'll be nice to get a new face in school. Everyone was getting bored of each other, anyway. I better go before my brother wonders where I am."

He sent the girl a final smile, his eyes moving to Derek as he kept the gaze up until he was turning around, leaving the gas station. That was when Sage realized that he didn't have a car considering the Camaro was the only one in the station, and her eyebrows furred for a split second before her face relaxed again and she was picking up her bag full of food.

Turning to Derek, who still had an apprehensive look on her face, she grinned. "Your change is twenty-six cents. When I sell your organs, I might be able to buy the whole rack of food in this place."

She left the gas station after that, returning back to the Camaro as Derek stood there for a few minutes, trying to pull himself together enough to accept the fact that there was no way for them to leave this place now. Everything was beginning to settle in, Sage looked happy, and he couldn't be the one that takes away the actual smile that fell on her face for the first time in five years. He couldn't just rip that away all because she happened to meet a boy; a werewolf.

☒ ☒ ☒ ☒ ☒ ☒

Sage thought her chest was going to explode, honestly fearing for the sake of her sanity as she all but shook in her shoes. Never in her life has she felt so much anger towards one single person, especially as she stood in front of the man with a glare strictly for him on her seething face. Words were bubbling up within her jaw then dying down a second later as she tried to figure out how to begin her first sentence without actually killing the man with her words. However, at this point, homicide was not very far along the spectrum of the blonde's capabilities.

"So, while I was going out of my mind thinking you were mutilated by some egotistical Alpha, you were actually fucking my English teacher? And, you didn't even bother to call me to tell me you were alive?" Sage snapped, her throat burning from the amount of frustration she was forcing through her voice.

Derek Hale was back from the dead, standing in front of her with a contorted face of pain. He had been wincing for the past ten minutes of Sage's silent glares, anxiously waiting for the moment where she exploded and a tidal wave of profanities and words of hatred came out. Cora was in the corner of the room, quiet as she watched the pair fight. This was originally the first time the three have all been in a room together since Sage unofficially moved out after Isaac, and it obviously wasn't particularly happy family reunion going on between them. Even so, Cora couldn't help but smile lightly when she realized that the situation was one of the most comforting things she has seen in a while. It had been forever since Sage and Derek actually had small disputes in front of her, seven years, and they still have yet to change. An overwhelming feeling of nostalgia fell in her chest when she saw how much Sage reminded Cora of Laura.

Derek hesitated before attempting to speak. "Sage—"

"No," the blonde hissed, her eyes stone cold as she moved closer to him. "Do you have any idea what happened to me last night? Do you have idea what I did, or who I saw?"

Derek sighed, rubbing his hands over his face. "Sage, I'm sorry."

Sage's eyes narrowed, and before Derek could react, there was a stinging sensation falling across the left side of his face. He didn't even need to open his eyes to know what happened, already envisioning Sage's hand outstretched as her eyes filled with furious tears. He originally anticipated for the slap to happen first, but second best to the yelling was just as equal. Slowly letting his lids open, the scene in front of him was just as expected.

"Okay, I deserved that—"

Sage let out a bitter laugh. "Oh, no, Derek. You deserved much more."

Then, there was a heavy weight falling on his shoulders. Derek had expected this, too. He knew that the heavy cloud weighing in Sage was eventually going to pass, it always does, and she would eventually go back to being the girl that felt everything. Whether they were connected or not, the slap hurt Sage just as much as it Derek. The older man wrapped his arms tightly around the blonde, careful not to squeeze to hard in fear that he would break her any more. He knew what he did was wrong, knew that he should have picked up the phone the second he had the energy to and call Sage. The idea was always in the back of his mind, but Jennifer had gotten into those dark holes and completely took away the thought.

But, now, he was back in reality and saw how much that motel broke Sage. He didn't need to ask her to know that she saw something, did something, that obviously changed everything in her life and most likely jeopardized her relationship with her friends. Derek was always the one that saw through Sage the easiest, even easier than her boyfriends. That could very well be because he raised her.

"Well, that drastically changed," Cora remarked from her place on the floor. Sage and Derek pulled away to face the girl, and the blonde couldn't help but smile slightly at the youngest Hale. She may have lost multiple things when they drove away from Glen Capri, but at least she knew that her family stood beside her. They didn't have to have the same blood as her, or the same abilities, but they were her family.

Sage, then, turned back to Derek. "I cried over you. Next time you die, I'm not crying."

"You're not?" Derek asked, raised eyebrows as he smiled. "Are you sure?"

"Positive. I can't cry when I'll be dead too." Sage was completely serious, her voice firm as she nodded towards her best friend. It was the easiest way of her saying there was no way she could go through another death of Derek Hale again. She had experienced one too many for her mental health to pass with flashing colors. Cora was just about to say something about the pairs' little death pact when she caught onto something from the outside of the loft, immediately standing up with a growl stuck in the middle of her throat. Derek recognized the scent as well, slowly walking around Sage so that he was standing in front of her and out of harms way.

"What? What's going on?" Sage asked, genuinely confused at the reactions of the two werewolves. She was also surprised when she heard the small alarm go off in the loft, the one Derek had installed to alert them when someone was coming.

Cora, with glowing orbs, snarled. "They're here."

The door to the loft came sliding to the side, and Sage was actually preparing for the whole pack of alphas to come flooding into the room, but to her utter dismay, it had only been the one she was most displeased to see.

"Not them. Just little, old me," he answered, flashing the beta a smirk as he moved further into the loft.

The wrong choice of words fell through Aiden's lips, and Cora had gone rushing towards the alpha a second later. Sage's eyes widened and she went to move past Derek, surprised when the man had stuck his arm out and kept her away from the fight about to break. Aiden's hand wrapped around Cora's neck, carelessly throwing her aside as he rolled his eyes slightly. He didn't even look affected in the slightest that he had just been attacked, rather just walking further in the room and shoving his hands into his pockets. The youngest Hale was resilient though, and just as she went for another go at Aiden, Sage was quick to yell out a simple yet efficient, "No!"

Immediately, Cora stopped in her place. Derek let out a large exhale from in front of her and put his arm down now that all threats were ceased. Cora was awe-stricken that he was actually allowing the blonde anywhere near an alpha, not aware of the big past floating around in this room. She hadn't been around when Sage met Aiden, she didn't know that the two knew each other.

"Derek?" Cora asked, her voice high with exasperation and denial at her brother. The older man frowned once before glancing at the blonde next to him. Aiden continued to smirk, a false image plastered on his face as he watched the interaction between the dysfunctional family. He could already see the gears turning in the other alpha's head, plenty aware that he would be getting what he wanted by the time the night was over.

"What do you want?" her voice broke through the tense air, arms crossed protectively over her chest as she stared at him. "If it's not a thank you for saving your brother's ass then I don't want to hear anything you have to say."

Aiden's facade nearly dropped at the mention of what happened to his brother and Sage last night, but kept up the act with a large smirk. "Actually, that's exactly what I was going to say, but I'd rather give you a proper one without an audience. You know me, I don't like big crowds."

"You love big crowds," Sage corrected, raising her eyebrows.

Aiden grinned. "See, you know me so well."

Sage snorted before slowly walking forward, not surprised when Cora let out another low growl as the blonde got closer to the murderous werewolf. Derek hadn't said anything, rather just keep his dark eyes on the teenage boy as if tempting him to try anything with Sage.

"Derek?" Cora called out. "Are you not going to stop her?"

The man let his eyes flicker from Aiden to Cora. "No. He won't hurt her."

☒ ☒ ☒ ☒ ☒ ☒

"He won't hurt me!"

Sage stood in front of Derek, her hands outstretched as she glared at her best friend. The two had been at it for the past ten minutes, the dispute going nowhere as she continued to refuse all of his orders and demands. Derek thought that he could control her life and she refused to let him. It had been three months since Sage met the boy at the gas station, Aiden, and Derek had bluntly told her that she was never going to be seeing the teenage boy ever again. Obviously, being rebellious, Sage had ignored his wishes and went to see Aiden just a few hours before the fight happening right now occurred; and, the nights before that, and the weekends before that.

"You don't know that, Sage," Derek denied, crossing his arms over his chest as he let out a deep exhale, rubbing his hands over his eyes from exhaustion. "He's a werewolf, and all of us are impulsive. You don't know what he could do to you."

Sage stepped forward. "I'm plenty aware of what he could do to me, Derek, but I also know what he won't do to me. You don't have to call me a naive teenager either because I know that's what you're thinking. I like him. I like that he is something that relates to my parents that isn't just you and Laura."

Aiden had taken her to the ice rink that was down town, having told her about his family and pack on the way there. He had a twin brother, of whom was also a werewolf, and the pack that he was in treated him as though he were nothing. Sage couldn't help instinctively tell him it wasn't true, that the person she met three month ago was something and meant something. There was something about the boy, apart from the fact that his life seemed just as screwed up as hers; when she stared at him, it was literally as if she were looking in a mirror.

His mistakes measured up to hers, his family measured up to hers, and his overall life was something that Sage couldn't ignore. Aiden, in just the short amount of time she knew him, completely consumed her and gave her a reason to start living after the house fire five years ago. Derek paused at the mention of Sage's parents, something the blonde had refused to bring up ever since the nightmares stopped a couple of years ago. That sentence right there had been when he realized that Aiden actually had changed something in Sage. He brought out the girl that had been hidden behind the ashes of her parents.

"I still don't trust him."

"You don't have to," Sage dismissed, staring at her best friend. "You just have to trust me."

☒ ☒ ☒ ☒ ☒ ☒

"I hope you know I don't trust you."

"Plenty aware. Thank you for the reminder though."

Sage hummed. "Not a problem. You should probably know I still have the gun, too."

"Figured you would," Aiden remarked, glancing over at her with an amused smirk. Sage rolled her eyes at the boy before stopping abruptly, her hand moving to stop him as well by pressing it on his chest. His brow went up and he glanced down at where she placed her hand. The blonde was growing tired of the avoided conversation going on between them, wishing he would just get to the point already.

"Are you going to tell me why you came looking for me or are we going to talk about all of the reasons why I shouldn't be with you right now?" Sage asked, removing her hand from his chest as she stopped in the middle of the deserted street.

Aiden sighed, the painted face dropping. "Ethan told me what happened at the motel."

"Did he?" Sage wondered. "Did he also tell you that he tried cutting both of us in half with a handsaw? Or that he might have ruined my relationship with Stiles without even knowing it? How about the fact that he's getting a little bit too close with my friend, Danny, and I'm not particularly comfortable with that?"

Aiden frowned at Sage, shoving his hands further into his pockets. "Ethan likes Danny."

"You liked me," Sage remarked. "Didn't change what you did."

"No, but I am trying here, Sage."

Sage gaped at him. "By doing what? If you wanted to tell me thank you for keeping your mutant twin monster in tact, you could have just sent me a text like a normal person. Or, maybe you could have written in on my bedroom walls with the blood of the people you've murdered. That seems like something you would do."

"Would you calm down?" Aiden hissed, grabbing a hold of her shoulders.

"This is me calm, Aiden," she replied, trying to keep her words smooth so that he would understanding that, if he truly wanted to see her mad, all he had to do was continue bringing up useless assumptions like actually trying.

Aiden stared at her for a second, his eyes narrowing slightly as he watched her. Then, he slowly let go of her shoulders and stepped back a bit to give her some space. "Ethan was right."

Sage's interest sparked. "About what?"

"Something is wrong with you."

The blonde felt her chest give, like all of the bricks on her chest just caved in and now there was a gaping hole where her heart should be. Sage shouldn't be surprised that the twins noticed something was wrong before anyone else. She shouldn't have been surprised that they noticed just as quick as Derek, and she shouldn't have been surprised Ethan told Aiden how she was acting at the motel last night. She was surprised, though.

She was surprised that the only three people that actually caught on to her pain where three boys that had, at one point or another, caused her so much pain and so much grief that she thought she would randomly obliterate into a million pieces. She was surprised that Aiden caught onto her pain in just a single conversation when she was holding hands with Stiles for weeks, the boy never noticing. "I'm fine."

Aiden snorted, beginning to walk down the street with her again. "Right. How long have you been selling that?"

"I don't know what you're talking about, Aiden. I'm fine. Last night was just the motel taking advantage of everyone's weaknesses. There's nothing more to it," Sage disagreed, her pace falling a bit faster as if she believed she could get away from him.

"And, what was your weakness?"

Sage glanced back at him to see the smirk on his face, and scoffed. "Oh, don't flatter yourself, Aiden. I've got bigger issues than my homicidal ex trying to kill my whole town."

"Not the whole town," Aiden replied. "Maybe just a small section of it."

Despite how incredibly horrid it was, Sage found herself laughing. She found herself laughing because it was easier to laugh than to cry. It was so much easier to pretend that she wasn't hurting and that last night didn't change her. It was a hell of a lot easier to act like it didn't cause her physical pain to be standing next to someone she used to love, and it was just easier to act like she wasn't losing her mind. But, as they always say, nothing will ever be easy. The tears that Sage had kept in ever since the night at the motel threatened to spill out, and she wasn't sure that she wanted to be crying in front of someone that could manipulate her so quickly and effortlessly. He did it to Lydia, he could easily do the same thing to her if it came down to it.

"I've seen you cry before," Aiden broke out randomly, interrupting the short silence between them after Sage's laughter subsided. "I don't see the difference between then and now."

Sage scoffed lightly and shook her head, glancing back at him. "That's because you don't see what you did. I was a little girl back then. I barely knew what the word love meant."

"And do you know now? With Stiles?" Aiden asked, more curiosity in his voice than hostility.

"I know that I wished I didn't know."

It was the truest thing she has ever admitted to anyone. She didn't know anything about what the word love meant, the good part of it at least. The word has been romanticized for so long that it has lost all of its true meaning. Sage didn't see how anyone could possibly find love in today's society. She didn't see how she could even begin to understand what love was when it was always taken from her before she had a chance to enjoy it and live for it. Her family had been taken away from her just as she was starting to know, starting to learn, and Derek had given up on her last year when she thought she would always have him.

She trusted Derek, she truly did. She loved Derek unconditionally but she wasn't sure if he loved her in return. She wasn't sure what would happen to him if she did something, or if something ever happened to her. She wasn't sure what Derek would do if the darkness inside of her broke free of its cage and destroyed that love, that trust that had been building for thirteen years. She loved Stiles. She loved Stiles so much that it hurt, but she wondered, just like Derek, if he loved her in return. He might have saved them last night when they were standing in the gasoline and might have risked his life, but how was she to be sure that wasn't for Scott? How would she ever in her life begin to understand the risks you take when you love someone?

"So, are you going to tell me why you brought me out here? It's obviously not just to thank me for saving vultron wolf," Sage said, breaking free of her thoughts as she glanced over at Aiden.

Aiden shrugged. "I just wanted to make sure you were okay."

Sage stopped at that, her whole body tense as she realized the whole act Aiden had ever since the beginning of school had now disappeared. Whatever angle he had been playing was gone, and she could only wonder what changed. What changed the wolf that refused to love, and refused to care about anyone?

The blonde slowly turned around, frowning at Aiden. "What are you trying to get me to do? Fall back in love with you?"

"No," the boy disagreed. "I know you never stopped."

Sage frowned, pursing her lips slightly as she stopped in her place. At first, Aiden thought that it was because of what he said, but eventually came to the realization that it was something more when he noticed how pale she was turning. Moving back to her, he grabbed her arm. "Sage?"

"No, no," Sage mumbled, her hand gripping tightly onto Aiden's jacket. "Not here."

"Sage? What the hell is going on?" Before Sage could even begin to explain to him what was going on, her grip on his jacket fell short and she was on the ground a second later, throwing up a lung. Aiden's eyes widened at the abrupt change in her health, quick to grab a hold of her hair.

He had been surprised, though, to see that it wasn't food the girl was convulsing, but blood and small berries. His eyes narrowed in, and he crouched down next to the girl, waiting until he got an explanation.

When Sage was finished, falling back and away from the blood, she couldn't even manage meeting Aiden's eyes. She had just accidentally given away one the biggest secrets she was keeping to her enemy.

"What the hell was that?" Aiden spluttered out. "Sage, what the hell is going on with you?"

The blonde shut her eyes tightly, clenching her jaw before slowly moving her lips. "I don't know. That's the fourth time it's happened in the past few weeks. It was just the blood at first but the mistletoe came a few hours later."

"A few weeks? Why didn't you tell anyone?" Aiden asked, staring at her like she was crazy.

Sage shrugged. "I told you, didn't I?"

"You need to tell someone that actually knows what's going on."

Sage frowned, finally opening her eyes to meet his. His fights tightened when he saw that the tears from earlier were spinning, mixing in with the blood on her lips.

"Aiden, I already know what's going on. Someone is trying to kill me."

ne

so this is pretty much a filler chapter to lead you into episode seven, and also this was an essential part, not only because of saiden but because of the whole thing with the mistletoe. this is the same night as episode seven, if anyone of you were wondering. its like a pre-chapter, i guess.

okay, so, not a lot happened but a lot happened. now you know what the mistletoe (kind of) means. sage knows that someone is trying to kill her and its pretty obvious at this point who it is guys. i mean come on. its not that big of a stretch.

but there were a lot of my favorite quotes in this chapter, especially when sage asks if he's trying to get her to fall back in love with him. I know many of you are iffy about saiden because of stage, but i can promise you that im not going to make sage some super bitch that plays two boys at once. she's not like that. it's kind of like the allison/isaac/scott dynamic, except sage feels for stiles a hell of a lot more.

first loves can be a bitch;; also, came to the realization that still is going to be a very long book.

MOST OF YOU HAVE ALREADY HEARD MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM ME, BUT MERRY CHRISTMAS. I LOVE YOU GUYS TO THE MOON AND BACK AND HOPE YOU HAVE A GREAT CHRISTMAS WITH YOUR FAMILY AND GET EVERYTHING YOU WANT. BE SAFE AND BE CAREFUL IF YOU GUYS HAVE BAD WEATHER.

MUCH, MUUCH LOVE.
