11 - Wild & Childish

10 Months Later - 1 year with Bangtan

"More ink? Really Charlie?" Hoseok said. He blocked the younger woman from heading upstairs when he noticed the swirls of vines and leaves snaking around her entire arm. Charlie grinned at him as she held up the arm that was currently wrapped in plastic to protect her new tattoo.

"I like it! It's not too girly, plus you can identify my body easier now if I ever wash up from the river," she teased, giving Hoseok a wink while he let out a heavy sigh. "Hey, Jungkook got one too!" she exclaimed, pointing at her best friend with the intention of shifting Hoseok's frustration away from herself.

Jungkook's eyes widened momentarily at the accusation before he narrowed his eyes at Charlie. "At least mine's a small one!" he argued, holding up his hand to show off the small "rock on" skull hand sign on his arm, also covered in plastic.

Hoseok slowly shook his head, not amused at all by Charlie's comment earlier or the new ink both of them got as he looked at the other two troublemakers.

"This is the last time the four of you go out alone. Two weeks ago, Charlie came back with a small ring in her nose and Jungkook got his ears pierced. What the hell is wrong with you guys?" Hoseok inquired.

"Hey! It's not my fault Jimin and Jungkook thought I wouldn't look good with a bull ring," Charlie argued, gesturing to the two behind her. Taehyung walked up to her and put his arm around her, a boxy smile forming on his features.

"I knew you would look good," he commented as they both laughed. "Besides, Kook lost a bet, so it was only fair that he got holes in his head too."

Hoseok now stared at Taehyung in shock, finally noticing the small metal hoop on his lip.

"Not you too! I can't believe they dragged you into this," Hoseok grumbled. I swear, none of them are ever going out again unless Jin and I are fucking present.

"Let the man live, he's just trying to step up his game. It's not easy getting girls when you look like a fucking smurf, "Jimin teased as he gestured towards Taehyung's slightly faded blue hair. Taehyung punched him, causing his friend to groan as he rubbed his shoulder. "Damn, when did you get so strong?" Jimin mumbled, a small pout forming on his lips.

Jungkook and Charlie laughed at the interaction between the two while Hoseok just rolled his eyes. "You better hope that heals quickly before we need to go out on another assignment," he sternly stated, gesturing towards Charlie's arm and Jungkook's before finally stepping aside. "You know, I never fully understood why Kook would talk about how bad of an influence you are, but now, I get it," Hoseok said, a small smirk on his lips as Charlie playfully glared at him before turning her attention to Jungkook, who quickly rushed past her up the stairs while she followed.

Jimin and Taehyung both laughed at the two before retiring to their own room while Hoseok watched, shaking his head as a small smile formed on his lips, thinking about how much had changed.

The past ten months had given them all a chance to become familiar and comfortable with each other, and now they truly were quite the chaotic family. Charlie's rebellious side had finally come out, and it seemed to feed right into Taehyung's playful demeanor... now throw Jungkook and Jimin into the mix, and it was the perfect recipe for trouble. The four bonded easily, and everyone was glad to see all of them on good terms.

Hoseok had also warmed up to Charlie and even formed a close bond with her. She would always come up to see what new gadgets he was working on since she was curious about everything, so they sort of learned to bond over smoke bombs and explosives. He spent most of his time with Jungkook though, practicing their precision and perfecting their skills while getting a chance to learn more about the youngest member of their team as he told Hoseok about the other foster homes that he lived in before meeting Charlie.

Charlie had also spent a lot of time in Jin's lab, learning more about his role and getting quick lessons on various wounds that she could tend to. Once Charlie and Jungkook were accustomed to their new life and their field missions, Yoongi had Jin teach them the basics about tending to certain wounds, giving both of them a short, run-down course on what to do in certain circumstances, like handling bullet wounds or deep cuts. Jin didn't fail to notice how curious Charlie was and her determination to learn more. He was always happy to teach her more than the basics and even loved spending time with her. She somehow always managed to make him laugh and feel at ease. He would often remember the night they met at the club and was actually thankful that it was his wallet she stole that led both her and Jungkook right to Bangtan.

Aside from their daily training and basic first aid lessons, Charlie and Jungkook were also learning more and more each day about the businesses that belonged to Bangtan through daily briefings that Namjoon would give them. He wanted to keep them informed about the full power of the empire that he and Yoongi had been working so hard to maintain. "You need to know what you're protecting and why you're doing this," Namjoon had told them. The young underboss had also spent more time training the both of them by expanding their skills, and occasionally even sparred with them when Jimin or Hoseok were unavailable.

The past ten months were quite pleasant as they all became closer, but it was also very hectic. There were a lot of missions to complete and things to do in order to keep Bangtan safe and intact. Missions didn't always focus on sabotaging Ganghan since Bangtan had their own territory to protect, but Yoongi was still hellbent on gaining more intel on Ganghan's trafficking scheme. Sure, there were many things that Yoongi had done in his life that weren't necessarily... legal, but he still believed that certain things in this line of business should've been off limits, and human trafficking was one of them.

Aside from trying to chase down answers about Ganghan's underground trafficking business, many of the missions they've done in the past ten months included taking care of their own shipments and watching over their small territory in order to make sure that the smaller businesses were untouched by the enemy.

Taehyung stood across from Charlie, hesitantly glancing at the girl in front of him while she wore a smirk on her face, one eyebrow raised in a teasing manner. The blue haired man then turned to glance at his best friend, who was standing off to the side of the mat, an amused smile on his face.

"Are you sure that you can't get anyone else to help you with this?" he asked Jimin, momentarily meeting his best friend's gaze before focusing on the eager girl in front of him.

"No Tae, I already told you, everyone else is busy. Hoseok had to work with Jungkook on some "special training" and Namjoon had a meeting with Yoongi," Jimin explained.

"What about Jin?" Taehyung asked, still trying to figure out a way out of this.

"He's at the casino, remember?" Jimin reminded him, causing Taehyung to groan as he gave in, grumbling as he asked Jimin what he needed to do. "I need you to attack from behind, we've been working on a new defense technique and I want to see how she does fighting someone who is clearly bigger than her," Jimin stated, gesturing towards Taehyung's height.

Taehyung finally gave in, rushing towards Charlie only to have her kick him on his side, causing him to groan at the slight pain he felt from the force. "What the fuck Charlie?" he asked, holding onto the spot she hit while she gave him an innocent smile.

"I didn't say it was going to be easy," Jimin said, chuckling while Charlie wiggled her eyebrows, encouraging Taehyung to attack. That's it, no more holding back. Taehyung huffed, recalling things that Charlie's taught him in their midnight sparring sessions before he charged again.

Even after all their training, his movements were still a bit clumsy, and it seemed that he took more hits while Charlie remained untouched. At one point, he had tried to execute a side kick but ended up getting his foot caught on Charlie's causing her to lose her balance. Taehyung, seeing an advantage, quickly rushed behind her and locked his arms around her torso, holding her tightly against him. He smiled at his victory but remained focused as he felt her squirming against him.

"Remember, bend your knees," Jimin encouraged as Charlie tried to escape from Taehyung's vice-like grip. No matter how hard she tried, Taehyung seemed determined to win, using his height to his advantage as he easily lifted her off the ground. Jimin couldn't help but notice the struggle, curiously glancing at Taehyung.

"Damn Tae, seriously man, how the hell did you become this good at sparring?" Jimin inquired.

Taehyung smirked as Charlie fought against him, her feet still unable to touch the ground while her arms were unable to move. "Charlie taught me," he replied.

"What?! And every time I would ask you to spar with me, you said no," Jimin complained.

"Well, I'm... special," Charlie replied through gritted teeth, her feet finally touching the ground as she bent her body slightly to try to take Taehyung down, but she couldn't execute the move that Jimin taught her. Jimin, noticing her struggle, intervened.

"Pause," he requested, causing Taehyung to let go. He walked over towards Charlie, resting one of his hands on her hips while the other tapped behind her knee, indicating for her to bend them. "You need to bend low in order for it to work," he whispered in her ear as he held her steadily while she crouched a bit lower. "It won't matter what size your opponent is, just make sure to use your body as leverage," he said before walking away while Charlie grinned, nodding at him before Taehyung wrapped his arms around her again.

This time, she made sure to bend down lower, feeling Taehyung's body rest on hers before she managed to free one of her hands, using it to wrap around his arm before hauling him over her shoulder as he landed on his back with a resounding thud.

Taehyung felt all the air escape his lungs upon the impacted and groaned as he felt the pain in his body. "Holy shit Charlie," he wheezed while Charlie grinned as Jimin gave her a thumbs up. He walked over to Taehyung and offered a hand, helping him up as Taehyung trudged over to the side, eager to sit out.

"My turn," Jimin said, causing Charlie to grin. Today will finally be the day I take you down, Park Jimin. The two had become a lot closer after her talk with Jimin and Raven. Sure, he still teased her, but it wasn't as frequent. They worked together a lot on making sure their fighting skills were perfect and even went out a lot together. While most of the other guys looked at Charlie as someone they needed to protect and watch over, Jimin always treated her as his equal. He never went easy on her and Charlie loved that about him.

She eagerly turned around, assuming that he was going to go right for the attack instead of sparring beforehand. He wrapped his arms around her, and just as she bent her body in order to be able to throw him over like how she did with Taehyung, Jimin twisted her uninked arm behind her, causing her body to move upright in order to avoid the pain. She squirmed out of his grip and turned to face him, playfully glaring at him while he grinned at her.

"I didn't realize you were going to play dirty," she said while he winked at her.

"I always play dirty," he replied while she smirked, eagerly getting into her fighting stance.

Jungkook came into the room, watching as the two were facing off while Taehyung was intently watching from the sidelines. He smiled at the determination his best friend had before shaking his head as he approached the weights in order to do his daily workout routine.

Taehyung's attention shifted momentarily to the movement as he noticed Jungkook at the bench, his eyes wide as he watched him easily lifting 100 pounds. Taehyung was sure that Jungkook could probably easily kill a man in hand-to-hand with the muscles that he's built up in the past year, especially after seeing him easily split open a fucking pineapple with his bare hands.

A phone ringing drew Taehyung's attention as he glanced away from Jungkook, watching as Jimin excused himself to answer his phone. He exchanged short answers with the caller before hanging up, turning to Charlie with an apologetic smile.

"That was Raven, I have some business to handle, so can we continue this tomorrow?" he asked while Charlie nodded, easily brushing it off as she noticed his guilty expression. "You want to come Tae?" he offered.

"Nah, I've got a date tonight," he said, grinning as Jungkook stopped lifting weights to curiously glance at him while Jimin's eyebrows furrowed. A date?

"Since when do you go on dates?" Jimin asked.

Taehyung stood up before walking towards Charlie, putting an arm around her while she grinned at Jimin. "It's Movie Monday!" he exclaimed while Jimin rolled his eyes as Jungkook let out a small laugh.

"You two," Jimin grumbled before turning towards Jungkook. "Do you want to come with me then? It won't take long, I just need to sign some papers and would like some company," he said while Jungkook smiled, agreeing to tag along before going upstairs to get ready.

"See you two losers later," Jimin called out as he walked out of the training room.

Jungkook sat at the bar as he waited for Jimin to finish up his business with Raven. Trixie had offered him a drink earlier, which he gladly accepted.

He felt a light touch on his shoulder as he turned around to be met with Gigi, a polite smile on his face as he glanced up at her. Over the past ten months he'd gotten used to her flirty comments and playful touches, he even occasionally flirted back as he got more comfortable around her and became more confident, all thanks to Taehyung helping him come out of his shell.

"Hey Kook, it's always a pleasure seeing you here," she said, a sly smile on her lips as he let out a light chuckle.

"Always a pleasure to see you too, gorgeous," he replied, feeling his face heat up while she giggled at his shy demeanor. Even though he was more confident with his interactions, he still felt a bit embarrassed. He had limited experience with girls and he was sure it showed through his discomfort. Of course there were a couple of awkward kisses through his short relationships in high school and that one time that girl approached him at the bar over a year ago, but with Gigi, he knew that she wanted more than that from him.

She sat next to him and playfully ran her finger up and down his forearm, glancing at the new ink on his skin. He watched her finger moving against his skin before grabbing his glass, sipping his drink. "So, got any plans for the night?" she asked, her voice low as she stared at him. He let out a light cough as he choked on his drink, trying to calm himself before turning towards her.

"Uhh, not sure, why?" he inquired.

"Well, maybe you can pick me up from work and we can have some fun together," she suggested, giving him a look while he gulped, trying to figure out how to respond to that.

"I, uhh, I'm not looking for a relationship, sorry," he replied while she smirked, leaning in closer to him as her lips brushed his ear.

"Neither am I," she whispered before pulling away, her eyes meeting his. "Look, I may not know the full details of what goes on in Bangtan, but I know that whatever it is, you guys can't be involved in anything serious. I'm just proposing a night of fun, no strings attached," she offered while he hesitated to respond.

"Alright, I think that I've got everything finalized, you ready to go?" Jimin asked, interrupting their conversation. Jungkook was quick to stand up, setting his half empty glass on the table before nodding at Jimin.

Just as he was about to walk away, Gigi grabbed his arm, pulling him towards her. "I get off in two hours. If you'd like to take me up on my offer, you know where to find me," she spoke in a hushed voice, winking at him before walking away.

"What was that about?" Jimin asked, glancing at Gigi before looking back at Jungkook as the two of them left the club.

"Nothing," Jungkook quickly answered before rushing to the car.

Taehyung was in his cave as usual, gathering some intel for Yoongi when he heard a knock at his door. "Come in!" he called out, eyes still glued on the monitor as the door opened.

"Hey, how was Movie Monday?" he heard, grinning as he recognized Jungkook's voice.

"Great, we watched this new action movie, Charlie wanted to prepare herself for our next mission," Taehyung informed, chuckling as he recalled how eagerly she pointed out the dumb mistakes that people made during the missions and complimented their fighting techniques when they actually managed to do a good job. He heard Jungkook hum in response and turned around to face him, noticing how he appeared to be deep in thought. "What's up?" Taehyung asked, his full attention now on Jungkook.

"Well, I was wondering if I could get some advice," Jungkook nervously asked, sitting down in the empty seat next to Taehyung, who nodded in response before gesturing for him to continue. "So, you know how Gigi's been hitting on me for a while? She, uhh, she gave me an... offer, and I don't know what to do," he admitted.

"Wait, an offer?" Taehyung inquired, eyebrows furrowed as he tried to process the words. His eyes widened as he looked up at Jungkook, noticing his flustered expression. "As in sex?!" he exclaimed while Jungkook avoided his gaze, nodding his head in response. "So I take it you didn't agree."

"Well obviously! I didn't know what to say," Jungkook mumbled. "I've never..." he said, glancing up at Taehyung as he nodded in understanding.

"She would be your first," he stated, setting the teasing comments aside since he could tell that Jungkook was uncomfortable and didn't want to make it worse. "Do you want to take her up on it?" he inquired.

"I mean... I'm curious about it, and everyone else does it, so it's not a big deal, right?" Jungkook asked, finally meeting Taehyung's gaze as the older gave him a small smile.

"I say if you want to try it, then go for it. Everyone needs a release and there's nothing wrong with casual sex," Taehyung reassured while Jungkook considered his words before nodding.

"Okay, thanks Tae," he said, giving him a small smile before leaving the room.

Taehyung was standing at Charlie's door, his head peeking out into the hall while Charlie rolled her eyes at him, a small smile on her lips.

"You know that we're going to hear them coming in, right? That's why I left the door open," she teased while Taehyung turned back to shoot her a playful glare, sticking his tongue out at her as she giggled at his childish behavior.

He was about to reply with a smartass comment when he heard a door slam downstairs. His eyes widened as he listened intently, hearing clumsy steps and giggles getting closer. "Shit, they're here!" he whispered, causing Charlie to scramble off the bed and joined Taehyung, peeking her head out into the hall.

Jungkook could feel his heart pounding against his chest as he continued to kiss Gigi, clumsily guiding her up the stairs as she giggled in response. She pulled away and playfully bit his lip, causing him to groan as she wrapped her arms around his neck.

"Catch me," she whispered before jumping, his strong arms easily wrapping around her frame as he held her close to him. She continued to hungrily kiss him as he tried to navigate to his room, completely oblivious to the mischievous duo watching them from down the hall.

Charlie and Taehyung exchanged a brief glance before giggling as Jungkook closed the door to his room.

Namjoon walked through the front door, letting out a heavy sigh as he felt how sore his muscles were. After questioning their latest target, he felt exhausted from the force he used and all he wanted to do was go to sleep. He trudged up the stairs before hearing a light squeal from his room, followed by giggles that erupted from down the hall. He glanced at his room before turning his head, noticing Taehyung and Charlie standing in her bedroom doorway.

"What the fuck are the two of you doing?" he asked while Taehyung tried his best to stop laughing.

"Kookie's got a girl in your room," he replied, laughing as Charlie giggled when a loud moan was heard from the opposite end of the hall. Namjoon rolled his eyes, shaking his head at their immaturity. Great, I guess no sleep tonight.

Namjoon never had to worry about finding other sleeping arrangements since Jungkook never brought anyone home, but now he had to come up with different arrangements. He glared at Taehyung, slightly annoyed with the younger man since he had a feeling he had something to do with this.

"I guess I'll just have to sleep in your bed then," Namjoon stated before heading towards Taehyung's and Jimin's room as Taehyung pouted at his words.

"But where am I supposed to sleep?" he asked.

"Don't care!" Namjoon called back before shutting the door.

"You can crash in my room for the night," Charlie suggested, giving Taehyung a small smile while he smiled back, thanking her for the offer before the two of them decided to call it a night.

Jungkook's eyes slowly opened as he adjusted to the bright sunlight streaming in from the windows. He rubbed his eyes before glancing at the naked girl still sleeping beside him, feeling his face flush as he recalled last night's events.

He felt slightly embarrassed as he remembered how Gigi guided him through the whole thing, and it seemed that everything just happened so fast. Oddly enough, he still felt unsatisfied, hoping for something more from his first time. He tried not to overthink it as he got up and grabbed some clothes to put on, heading down the hall to take a shower.

Taehyung was sitting with Charlie, Namjoon, and Jimin at the dining table as they all ate breakfast in a comfortable silence when Jungkook finally came down. Taehyung immediately smirked at him while the younger blushed and looked away, hoping that Tae wouldn't say anything.

"Did you have fun last night?" Taehyung asked, wiggling his eyebrows while Jungkook frowned, eyes narrowing at the man as Charlie snickered and Namjoon smirked.

"It was fine," he mumbled, heading into the kitchen to get some food while he felt his face quickly heating up.

Jimin glanced at all of them curiously, trying to figure out what was going on. He already had so many questions when he got home last night and saw Namjoon passed out on Taehyung's bed, but he figured he would wait until he had his coffee first this morning before asking any questions.

"So what exactly happened last night? Why were you in Tae's bed this morning?" Jimin inquired, deciding it was the right time to bring it up since everyone seemed to know something that he clearly didn't. He turned to Namjoon, hoping to get answers from their underboss.

"Kook had a girl over last night," Namjoon stated, the smirk still plastered on his face as he watched Jungkook join them at the table, avoiding eye contact with everyone.

"Holy shit, you finally brought a girl home? Who is she?" Jimin asked, and as if summoned, Gigi walked in, wearing her outfit from last night with a huge grin on her face. Jimin watched her move through the dining room, confused by the whole situation until she stopped next to Jungkook, wrapping her arms around his shoulders as she leaned down, whispering in his ear as she thanked him for last night. "Hold up, you slept with Gigi?!" Jimin exclaimed, causing both Jungkook and Gigi to look up at him while Taehyung and Charlie tried to keep themselves from bursting out into laughter.

Gigi rolled her eyes at Jimin, smiling playfully at him. "It's not a big deal Jimin, don't stress out about it, we're just friends, right Kook?" she stated as Jungkook nodded in agreement. "If you ever want to do that again though, you know where to find me," she told him, giving him a wink before sauntering towards the door as she waved goodbye to everyone.

"Aww, our little Jungkookie is growing up," Taehyung teased, pretending to wipe away fake tears as Jungkook scowled at him, annoyed by all the teasing as Charlie simply giggled, clearly amused by all of this as well.

Taehyung was ready to open his mouth and ask for more details about Jungkook's fun night when a ding on his phone pulled his attention away, the playful smile quickly disappearing as he stared intently at his phone, his expression now more serious.

His eyes immediately met Charlie's and she felt a queasy feeling in her stomach as she noticed the change in demeanor. His eyes then went to Jungkook's, who was curiously looking at him.

"What is it?" Jungkook asked.

"Uhh, I just got a notification about your old foster parents," Taehyung said, causing Jimin and Namjoon to focus their attention to him as well. "It looks like they've started fostering again."

Charlie's fists immediately latched onto the material of her shirt as she stared at Jungkook, the worry evident on her face while his jaw clenched and his breathing picked up, the anger quickly building up in him at the information that Taehyung shared.
