I was bored again

Alexei sat there, tail curled around his black tipped paws. The lion stayed crouched, hidden in the shadows of the underbrush and high reaching trees. There she was. The next piece to fall in the elaborate game of chess that his older sister had set up.

The little girl was crouched down beside a stream. She peered down into the water that ran smoothly over the small pebbles and rocks beneath it. Her small hands came up to her whitish-grey hair, gently brushing it over her shoulder.

So innocent... so small... such easy prey...

Silently, Alexei slipped out of the bushes. His head stayed low as he prowled upon her.

Just as he was inches behind her, the little girl turned her head to look behind her shoulder. A small gasp escaped her lips, standing and turning, nearly stumbling over her little legs. The two stared at each other, recognition igniting inside the gold depths of her eyes, the crimson flecks throughout them twinkling dimly. Her little nose twitched, lips slightly parting. Though they never met, she could scent the blood ties they both shared.

Alexei flexed his claws, muscles suddenly becoming stiff with hesitation. Now, standing before her, it began to weigh down him what he was about to do. They were connected, by an invisible bond in their blood.

His ear flicked back, claws sinking deep into the ground, a small growl suddenly erupting from his muzzle. He could not think of such things. They no longer mattered. Not if he wanted to play the game; and not only would he play the game, he would win it as well.

With a flick of his tail, Alexei's paw lashed out, slamming into the small girl's head. A half scream erupted from the girl as she hit the ground. Though, Alexei wouldn't end her like this. Blood and blunt force would make it quick for her, unless he let her bleed out. But no, he had different plans. His sister was smart, and she would know the suffering and terror her daughter would go through in her last moments.

The girl was stunned, but was beginning to come back, small screams in Chinese beginning to come from her. No worry. She would be silenced soon enough.

His paw came down, claws hooking into her hair. Twisting around in attempts to escape did nothing for her as her head was then immediately plunged down into the water.
