Brynne POV

Someone new! Enjoy!

"Just a little longer," Brynne encouraged the panting family of elves. We'd been running the past 20 miles. Nour, or technically she was supposed to call him by his code name, Wran-ha, observed them. Even with his cowl, Brynne could tell that he was amused. After 15 more minutes of running we reached a dead end. "We. . . we ran all that way for nothing?" the older boy, Fitz, asked, or more gasped. It was quite funny actually, Nour and Brynne weren't even sweating and we were the ones in armour, hoods, and cowls. She studied Fitz. He wasn't bad looking, even covered in sweat. Lia had told her about him from her old life as Sophie Foster (Even though everyone thought she was dead) and she suspected Lia had a thing for him. Brynne chuckled softly and Nour sighed "Typical elves," he grumbled, "Always fail to see the obvious." The Vackers looked confused, making Brynne chuckle again before turning around and pressing a barely visible symbol: an empty arrowhead, the sign of the Assassins, easily recognizable if you were one. She pressed it and stepped back as it started to glow silver. The silver expanded and swirled creating a portal. "Come on!" Brynne gestured for the wide eyed elves to follow her as she stepped into the light tunnel. At the other end of the tunnel was our home: Inlandia. As she moved away from the portal to allow the other into Inlandia, she pushed her hood back and unwrapped her cowl revealing her chocolate colored skin, cobalt blue eyes, high cheekbones, dark, curly hair, and fuschia lips. Finally out of hiding, she took a deep breath. Lots of other identical portals opened, each one spilling Assassins that immediately started to take off their hoods and cowls, like Mansi. Brynne was her code name, like Wran-ha was Nour's. Every Assassin had a code name that they used when they were a mission. Elves thought they were the most beautiful creatures on the planet. But they were wrong. The Krynas were breathtakingly beautiful and they all have an unique personality. Elves simply couldn't compete. Krynas had 10x more value. They were rarer, more beautiful, smarter, more powerful, and much more skilled in everything they do. Inlandia was built of buildings just as breathtaking as the citizens. Mansi beamed, surveying her home. It was beautiful, and it felt good to be back.
