As I mentioned in the background information (which most skip, including myself so no hate), Derek is missing in season 4 but he talked to Y/N on the phone. Well that's not exactly the case, you'll see. I found a pretty good plot twist. Also btw read the background info it helps.

There will be spoilers in this story so, I will repeat YOU READ AT YOUR OWN RISK. I don't wanna hear it later. This edit doesn't erase anything but add things on.

Y/N Pov:

"Omg, I can't believe this level of stupidity." Y/N said, yelling at the principal. She is being expelled for something that wasn't her fault. Briana spread rumors about her. "You all care about me calling her a b*tch but, not about her spreading rumors-" Y/N said.

"Ms. L/N (Last Name), rumors get spread all the time you just have to have the self discipline to ignore it ." Mr. Alvarez said, cutting Y/N off.

"You know what f*ck this, call my dad or whatever, i'm going home." Y/N said not waiting for his response."

Time Skip(by a lazy author) ~~

Y/N Pov:

Y/N walked in the apartment waiting for her dad to call about her being expelled. "Maybe Mr. Alvarez had a change of heart and didn't call him-" She said only to be interrupted to her phone ringing.

"Of course not," She said, as she sighed wearily picking up the phone to hear a sigh at other end of the phone.

"What happened this time," Derek said roughly, sounding like he was interrupted in his sleep.

"This time, it was not my fault, that two faced b*tch spread rumors and called me a man wh*re,"

"And what did you do to retaliate?" He ask waiting for her to say something about a fight.

"I didn't fight her you know, I only called her a b*tch," Said Y/N.

"They expelled you and ruined my perfect nap for that?" Derek said annoyed.

"I know, crazy right,"Y/N said tiredly. "I think it's time i change school and move in with both of you."

"Well you were the one obsessed with that school anyway."

"Well it's decided, both of you will help me move on Saturday." She said. "Speaking of which how is Scott, still being a dork with Stiles?" She said jokingly.

"He has gotten a little bit of popularity these days and even got a girlfriend." He says, not really caring.

"Whoa, which unfortunate soul has fallen for my dorky brother," She says while laughing.

"Ha ha ha, very funny Y/N." Scott replies sarcastically.

"You guys talk, i'll go back to sleep; don't wake me up this time." Derek says giving the phone to Scott and walking away.

"She got a point Scott, how did you get a girlfriend before me." Stiles said while laughing.

"Cut it out both of you, so you are coming to Bacon Hills?" He said worryingly.

"Yeah, is that a problem ," She says confused. "You're the one who wanted me to come so badly, but now i'm actually coming you're telling me not to?"

"Can't you wait a year?"

"You're making no sense why shouldn't I come."

"Well there has been things going on with the school and people getting killed and injured so it's not safe." He says, hoping that would convince her.

"I'm not a little girl anymore, you don't get to play overprotective brother," She said annoyed, "I'm going and that's final." She says turning the phone off, not waiting for his response. She cooled down at got some food. "I feel so full , maybe I shouldn't have have so many marshmallows and eat actually food," she seats  realizing something. "That was weird Dad, didn't worry so much, he is taking a nap in the middle of the day, come to think of it his voice sounded weir." She says but shrugs her shoulders. "Maybe he's just tired."  

Scott's Pov:

"She can't come, it's too dangerous right now," He says. "I can't let her get involved in this."

"My Derek impression has improved eh?" Stiles says jokingly.

"Not the time Stiles, she doesn't listen," He says frustrated. "Why doesn't she ever listen?"

"Must be in the genes." Stiles says as Scott sends him a "really?" look.

(We all know this look that Scott gives)
"Calm down all we have to do is get her to stay way from this mess."

"Yeah how hard could that be." He says taking a deep nervous breath.
