♡ | Chapter 14
"nah...I've done that before..."
I didn't even have time to sit. That's how busy I got the moment I landed in Chile.
While the Bangtan boys were taken to a hotel suite, I was dragged away to the concert hall for last minute improvements and other quality checks.
Even now, on my way to my hotel room, I was compiling a mental list of calls I had to make once I get there.
Unlocking my door with a swipe of my key card I went in and dumped my bags on the bed. Right afterwards, I pulled my heels off and tossed them to a corner. I swear to God I won't wear heels ever again.
Honestly, all I wanted to do right now was to throw myself on the bed and sleep for a few days. Plus, I needed a shower, but all that would have to wait.
I pulled out my notepad and started making the calls.
~¤~
2 minutes, 5 minutes, 10 minutes passed and I couldn't fall asleep. I hated when this happened. I had to wake up early tomorrow.
"Please brain, let me sleep!" I flailed my limbs in the air and repeatedly smacked my head on the pillow hoping that atleast dizziness would switch me off. But no.
Shrugging on a night robe and bed slippers, I went out of my room to get a drink from the vending machine I had seen in the lobby.
The corridor was empty. I hated wandering around hotel corridors at night. If it hadn't been for the noisy street, the emptiness of this place would have spooked me.
Pushing the change into the slot, I selected a diet coke. The cool liquid running down my throat was really satisfying even though I knew this shit was bad for hea-
"Boo!"
Startled by the sudden sound, I gasped and choked on my drink.
Someone laughed.
"Shit." The first voice cursed, sounding panicked when I didn't stop coughing.
"You okay?" Second voice asked.
I wasn't in my right senses to identify the voices because I was choking to death.
"She's choking!"
No shit Sherlock.
I saw black spots appear in my vision and heard footsteps rushing towards us.
"What happened?"
"Shit, move!"
Someone grabbed the can I was clutching in my hand and another started patting my back.
After what felt like an eternity and a few hard strokes, I felt my windpipe clear.
Taking deep breaths I turned around to face the bunch of idiots.
Jimin, my saviour, stood closest to me. Namjoon was next to him with my diet coke and Jin was offering me a tissue. The rest of them were staring at me with mixed expressions. J-Hope and V had the guiltiest expressions, looking like puppies caught ripping cushions.
I snatched the tissue out of Namjoon's hand and wiped myself.
"I almost died you know." I informed sourly.
V scratched his arm, looking uncomfortable and glanced at J-Hope.
Suga smacked the back of their heads.
"We're sorry." V and J-Hope apologized.
They looked so upset that for a second I felt bad for making them worry. These boys were older than me but I swear they acted like toddlers.
"Well, I'm letting this go only because I get paid thanks of you and not because your puppy dog faces are hard to resist." I joked.
"Oh wow. I actually forgot that we're the bosses." Jin wondered out loud.
"Nope. Technically we're co-workers.What I meant was that my job only exists because you exist."
"Aaah..." From the way he said it I knew he was only pretending to understand.
I noticed that one person was missing.
"Where's Jungkook?"
"Practicing." Namjoon said.
"This late?" It was almost 1am.
"We tried to call him off but he's determined." Jimin shrugged.
"Well then, you guys better get some sleep."
"What about you?" Namjoon asked.
"I'll be off as well."
"Good night, sleep tight, think happy thoughts-" J-Hope sang.
"-like, how now you can check 'having a near death experience' off your bucket list." V added and got another smack from Namjoon.
"Nah...I've done that before." My nonchalant answer received several odd looks.
But they eventually went off without prying.
