21 - A
i walk down the street making my way toward the café station because jimin had messaged me to meet up with him there.
i don't even know why he did that because he knows i have a shift to work today. i guess he must have forgotten.
as i walk i hold tightly onto my journal and silently squeal then do a little spin.
i can't believe that the messenger to those mysterious sticky notes turned out to be taehyung!
although, i was always skeptical about it but nonetheless the end result turned out wonderfully. so wonderful that my heart is still wildly beating at the very thought of it.
when taehyung had revealed himself as the poet behind the sweet words my wonderful brain decided to stop sending nerve impulses throughout my body.
so i ended up standing in front of him most definitely looking like a badly crafted wax figure that no-one would even want to bat an eye at.
i pout at my silliness- i made him wait for an answer which would have made him feel so terrible and maybe even wonder if i would reject him.
unfortunately enough i could not give him an answer even once i had finally composed myself because at that specific second the school bell went off signalling the end of the school day.
the hallways were instantly flooded by schools of students causing taehyung and i to crash together and sticking to each other like glue.
taehyung's arms had instantly wrapped around my body but luckily his backpack kept me from making contact with his chest otherwise i would have literally died on the spot from some sort of arrhythmia because his body would have been directly against mine.
we had stood in that position for a good five minutes or so before he finally released me from his (very warm) embrace and my immediate reaction was to step back. my cheeks had flushed with a clear line of blush while he just smiled back at me— so damn cutely—, patiently waiting for an answer.
i had taken a bowing stance, shyly thanking him for the sticky notes and for the invitation as well. i told him that i would definitely look forward to watching the cherry blossom trees with him and afterwards he shot me a shy smile in return.
just before i could run off feeling somewhat embarrassed at the incredulous scene that had just taken place- i quickly gave him a hug and in that short hug, i felt warmth and safety like never before.
i'm suddenly launched back into reality and out of my reminiscing when i trip on the step just outside the café station. i quickly compose myself as if nothing just happened and i push through the café doors.
as i enter i see yoongi oppa behind the cash register and i give out a little smile, he looks less drained and more lively than usual. once he notices me he flashes a gummy smile and i halt- something's off.
"yah~!" he yells happily. "look whose here! she's finally here!" he laughs softly revealing more of his gummy smile.
i slowly approach him with much confusion, "are you that happy to see me come into work?" i pout touching his face to see if it's really yoongi oppa.
"awh come on, come on." another bright voice makes me release yoongi's face and turn in their direction only to find hoseok oppa, "are you going to tell us the good news yourself!"
"wah?" i look at him surprised but suddenly jimin and jungkook pop out from behind the counter, scaring the life out of me, "dear heavens and the stars! you two pabo's scared me!" i look at the two boy's whilst holding my chest.
"so...." jungkook drawls cutely. "tell us..." he gives me a bunny smile.
"tell you what?" i counter, feeling embarrassed from the jump scare. "jimin called me here so you tell me."
"ahh~ soo yeong ah~..." jimin laughs making his eyes disappear under his eyelids. "did you say yes?"
my lips part in surprise, "yes for what?" i eye them suspiciously, holding onto my journal tighter. "are you people hiding something from me?"
"yah~! soo yeong! soo yeong!" i suddenly hear seokjin oppa's voice so i turn only to see him bursting through the doorway while the other four boy's chuckle behind me, "oohhh my little girl is growing up!" he pulls me into a hug and then kisses the top of my head. "i'm so glad you got someone to go with now!"
my eyes widen under soekjin oppa's embrace and i feel his heavy breaths, "w-what?" i stutter wondering if he knows what taehyung did after class today. he slowly releases me and i turn to face him, "and did you really run all the way here from home?"
he chuckles softly, "i was in the neighborhood..." his panting slowly becomes regular breaths. "... when yoongi gave me the message."
"the message?" i turn to yoongi in confusion. "somebody please tell me what you're talking about?" i bite my lip in anticipation.
"taehyung!" they all yell in sync and my eyes widen. "where? is he here?" i turn to look behind me with lost eyes and i almost drop my journal.
"aish, pabo!" jimin laughs, as hoseok hands a customer a tissue. "did he ask you to watch the cherry blossom's with him?"
i freeze then slowly speak, "n-neh." i choke out, feeling nervous. "b-but how do you know that?"
"during the winter break taehyung always hung out near the café especially during your shifts." jungkook smiles, sweetly and i stare in shock. taehyung stalked me? "to make sure if you were alright after that skatepark incident."
"so you knew about that before i did?" i ask and jimin nods his head. "oh, wow."
"and sometime after he told us that he might have a crush on you..." jungkook giggles, his cute eye wrinkles forming. "i've never seen hyung so cute before and he also wanted to get closer to you to make sure you felt the same about him before he did anything."
"oh my life..." i put a hand over my mouth at the incredulous words jungkook's spilling. "so-so..." i mumble.
"calm down soo yeong and breath." hoseok oppa informs and i do as he says.
i finally speak again, "so... yesterday in the caféteria kitchen... did you tell taehyung what i said... about the secret crush?"
"neh," jungkook laughs shyly.
"sly kid," yoongi smirks patting jungkook's back.
"but i was with you the whole time? and you would have had to tell him before he stayed behind with lu and i..." i gasp.
"i had alot of clear opportunities to tell him then." jungkook confirms.
"yoongi oppa is right, you are sly, kookie!" i pout turning to look at jimin. "why didn't you tell me about this jiminie pabo!?" he just smiles without a word.
"hey stob worrying about all this." seokjin pinches my cheek. "you have someone to go with, you have a dress and you're happy. so that's all that matters."
i smile softly at him, "tha-"
"you have a dress!" hoseok spurts. "and you didn't tell us. i feel betrayed." he sulks, gaining a sad aura around him.
"i must have forgotten but seokjin oppa got it for me!" i proudly say the latter. "he's the best!" i quickly hug him. "he can tell you about it if you want because i need to get to work now." i say making my way behind the counter to get my apron as the boy's, except yoongi, get on with a conversation.
"soo yeong ah~" yoongi oppa takes ahold of my arm and i turn to face him. "always stay this happy." he gives a sweet gummy smile.
"thanks, and i wish the same for you oppa." i smile back.
"also..." i look at him puzzled, wondering what else he wants to say. "if that taehyung boy does anything weird like he did saturday night and, if it makes you uncomfortable you tell me. i'll sort him out."
"yoongi oppa!" i whisper yell, suddenly feeling embarrassed as i remember taehyung's kiss. "why would he make me uncomfortable... he's a nice boy." i whine earning a chuckle from him.
he then releases my hand allowing me to start my work and he mumbles something to himself. "aish that child. i'm sure her father will be glad to see her this happy again."

"the spring festival is finally here!" i hear a female student from a different school to mine say as she sips on her beverage.
"i'm just glad there isn't any school for the next week." a boy voices with a sigh.
"neh man, i second that." another male speaks and i smile to myself.
this group reminds me of myself, jungkook and jimin.
"yah~ waitress!" one of them yells breaking me out of my thoughts and i head to their table, "do you have more sugar?" the boy asks.
"oh neh. we do. i'll be back shortly." i say quickly heading toward yoongi oppa because the sugar sachets are next to him.
i arrive at the counter, grabbing a few sachets as yoongi simply stares at me but then a small smile forms on his lips, "you could've just asked me for those. you know i like throwing them at you."
"aish," i throw a sachet at his head but suddenly i think of something weird and a small evil smile plays on my lips. "i know hoseok oppa's nickname for you is suga," he looks appalled. "maybe i should just carry you over there and ask them if this is enough." i cackle to myself.
"now i know why you and taehyung are attracted to each other." he chuckles, throwing a few sachets at me. "because you're both insane and share one braincell. now get!"
i laugh softly heading to the designated table, "is this enough?" i softly bite my lip to hold back my laughter and the boy nods.
"more than enough." he says.
after a few more rounds of serving up people and having hoseok oppa repeatedly ask me if he can pitch my life story to a drama entertainment company because apparently it's too good of a story to not broadcast it to the world but in any case i had kindly turned him down.
i notice the sky slowly get darker as dusk sets in and the usual scene of the store lights from across the street flicker on, burning brightly and illuminating the surrounding areas.
i take that as my cue alerting me that my shift is done for the afternoon. i head back to the counter to gather up my things before i head out to what i call home. i put away my apron and grab my blazer as well as my backpack.
"bye oppa's. you've worked hard today, as usual." i say with a bow then turn to leave.
"soo yeong ah~," hosoek oppa hollers making me halt. "you better stop by tomorrow before you meet up with tae, i want to snap some pictures." he says the latter of his sentence, cheerily.
"i will." i laugh softly, "oh! and can i have a cupcake before i go?" i inquire, not really wanting to go home and have dinner.
hoseok oppa hands me a cupcake without even deliberating it. i turn to yoongi oppa whose pouting whilst moving his index finger from side to side denoting that he's not excepting my money.
they don't ever let me pay for stuff from this café, even though it isn't theirs.
"why do you always do th-"
"you better get going already," yoongi oppa intejects. "you know i don't like you walking out when nightfalls."
"neh," hoseok oppa agrees with him. "go."
i sigh, "thank you for always taking care of me. i'll see you two tomorrow night." i bow, once more, then quickly exit the coffee-scented store and stroll out into the night.
