Heyyyyy!! I'm so sorry I haven't updated in like forever, but I'm back now and these next few chapters are gonna rock so, you'll have to forgive my absence. Anyways, if you can't read the full title, its called 'The Calm Before The Storm'. This should give you some insight as to what's going to happen in the next few chapters ;) So, on to zhe book!

Nicole's p.o.v.: After the pool party, everyone changed and went back to my house. We decided to watch the movie version of the play Alan and I were trying out for since the tryouts are like tomorrow and Alan knows absolutely nothing about the play. So, the guys popped popcorn, one bag for each couple, while the other girls got blankets and pillows and tissues, while I popped in the movie and got it on the main menu. The girls came back first and we distributed the blankets, pillows, and tissues evenly among where the couples were sitting. Alan and I on the couch, Jeff and Lauryn on the loveseat, Scarlet and Dylan on the two person recliner, and Rachel and Thomas on the floor with their backs against the ottoman. It was perfect. The girls and I sat down and the boys finally came in. They sat down and I picked up the remote, starting the emotional rollercoaster that was this movie.

"We have to do that?" Alan whispered, gesturing to the scene that was playing. It was quite a sad scene and honestly broke my heart everytime. (A/N I attached a video of the scene. Alan will be trying out for the guy in this scene and Nicole's trying out for the girl.) "Well, if we get the roles then yeah." I said. He frowned a little before speaking up again. "But i don't want to see you die. Even if it just pretend. I don't know what that would do to me." He said, tears forming. "I know its gonna be tough, but you can do it. Plus, if you think about it, it'll make everything more believeable." I said, wiping away the few tears that had fallen from his eyes. It hurt knowing he would hurt but, it felt good to know he cared that much. He smiled and nodded before turning his attention back to the movie. I think I was the only one not crying. Its not because I'm heartless or anything, its just that I've seen this movie so many times that it doesn't really bother me anymore!

*After the movie ended*

"Well, that was depressing!" Jeff said, slightly chuckling while wiping away some tears. We all laughed a little and sighed. "Welp. I'm bored! " Thomas said and we all laughed. "I don't know about you guys but I'm up for Truth Or Dare." Dylan said, smirking. We all nodded in agreement and sat in a circle on my living room floor. "Alright, since I suggested it, I shall ask someone first. Thomas, truth or dare?" Dylan said, looking at Thomas. "Dare." Thomas simply replied. Dylan gave him a malicious look and grin before responding. "I dare you to answer this question. Out of all the guys here, if your life depended on it, which one would you kiss?" Dylan finished smirking. Thomas shot him a glare. "That's hard. I mean I've never thought about it. I guess Jeff cause he's quite funny." Thomas said, shuddering even at the thought. Everyone laughed at his answer before continuing. "Hmmmmm, Scarlet, Truth or dare?" Thomas asked. "Oh that's hard." She said, laughing. "Um truth?" She said, scared for the question. "What was your first impression of me?" He asked. "Well, at first, I freaked out inside cause I met you and then I was like, okay this accents gonna get old haha! And the whole time you were talking I was like, dear God, please tell me this is not what I sound like. But you grew on me and earned extra brownie points for introducing me to Dylan!" She finished. Thomas acted hurt that she didn't like him at first but then we all ended up laughing at his acting. "Alan! Truth or dare?!" Scarlet, literally, screamed. "Truth!!" He screamed back, causing my ears to hate him. "Wuss. Okay, what's your least favorite thing about Nicole?" She asked, smirking. I looked at her with a glare that practically shot daggers. "Uhhhh. Well, I really don't like how insecure she gets when shes obviously perfect! But since that's the typical boyfriend answer, I also don't like how she will literally be so focused on a book that she doesn't hear a word i say." He said, looking at me smiling. "In my defense, I'm a nerd, you're gonna have to deal with that honey!" I said, patting his cheek. "Okay, Nicole, truth or dare?" He asks me. "Dare! I'm not a wuss like you." I said winking. "Okay, I dare you to tell me who's jokes you like better, mine or Jeff's?" Alan said, sitting back. "Jeff's easily." I said, shrugging. Jeff cheered and Alan sat up straight. "What? Why?" He asked, offended. "I'm sorry but I mean some of your jokes are funny but you're more cut out for acting than comedy." I said, looking at him. "Okay, okay. That's fine." He said. "Haha Lauryn, truth or dare?" I asked, pointing at her. "Hmm, I'm scared of what dare youll give me, so truth!" She said, yelling the word Truth, making Jeff pull back and put his finger in his ear. We all laugh while I thought of one. "Okay, what character from Harry Potter do you see me as? And keep in mind, I know how to tell if youre lying!" I said. "Hmmm, probably Luna because she's a little crazy, super smart, a great friend, and she might seem weird, but that's what makes her so clever! Just like you." She said. Everyone awed and I moved to where she was and hugged her. "Okayyy, Rachel. Truth or dare?" Lauryn asked. "Hmmmmm, truth cause I'm scared of what you'll do if I say dare." Rachel said laughing. "Okay, is it true that Thomas gets on your nerves sometimes?" Lauryn asked. "Oh my God yes! He is so annoying sometimes I just can't stand it!" She said laughing. Thomas fake frowned and we all laughed. "Okay guys, you all have to leave because I need my rest! Alan and I have got a big day tomorrow so yeah. Everybody out!!" I say hugging Dylan and Thomas. "See y'all tomorrow." I say hugging Lauryn, Jeff, Scarlet, and Rachel. "Goodbye Marius. I love you." I say, hugging Alan super tight. "Goodbye Eponine. I'll see you tomorrow." He said, pulling away from the hug and kissing me. "I love you." He said, walking out. Ugh. I have to die tomorrow. Figuratively. I'm gonna need a loooooonnnnnggggg nights sleep.
