C16: Home Alone
When she woke up, 2 hours later at that, no one was home. She found a note under her door.
"Mr. Sullivan called and wanted to see us for dinner. Your food's on the counter. Be back late."
"Figures," she thought out loud. She saw a smorgasbord of food out on the counter. At first, she was hesitant to eat but then she dug in anyway.
She was disgusted with herself for eating that much. She definitely was. But she wasn't gonna purge twice in the same day. She didn't hate herself that much. Instead, she got a safety pin from her drawer and stared at the tip.
"You look so inviting, you know? I just wish it didn't hurt when I pushed you into my skin. Then again I could always just skid you across really fast," she told the pin. "Look at me. So crazy I'm talking to inanimate objects now, huh. Just put it away and watch TV, Kayls."
About an hour and 5 episodes of "Friends" later, she got bored so she turned off the TV and sat in silence. Bad idea. The voices came back.
"There's a reason they didn't bring you along to dinner."
"You're so fat, they're embarrassed of you."
"You'll never be good enough."
"Just kill yourself, you worthless piece of-"
"STOP!" She started to pull at her hair. Tears streamed down her face. "You're wrong," she said. "Are we? Really," the voices said back. "Leave me alone."
By this time she was curled in a ball on the floor, sobbing. She suddenly heard the doorbell. "Crap. Nonononono," she muttered under her breath. She wiped her eyes. "Hold on! I'll be right there," she called. She ran frantically around the house looking for her Twenty Øne Piløts hoodie to hide her face.
When she found it, she scrambled over to the door while pulling it over her head. "Hey," she fake smiled. He saw right through it and hugged her. She started sobbing once again in his arms.
"W-why are you h-here, Jayden," she asked in between sobs. "I was told you were home alone," he smiled, twirling her bangs in between his around his middle finger. "Oh." She let out a deep sigh.
"What was going on anyway?" He pulled the hood off of her head, revealing her red eyes. "Nothing. I'm completely fine. I was just practicing the art of crying. You know how I love acting, heh..." She joked. He wasn't amused. "Okay, okay. I just don't wanna talk about it." He looked her in the eyes. "Fine. But I'll be right here."
