Reginald Copperbottom was a good leader.

He was eccentric, for sure. He had a bit of a temper and was just as greedy as one would expect from the chief of a criminal organization.
But he always put the Clan first. He would always listen to his clanmates when they had a problem and never left anyone behind.
Copperbottom wasn't a very brave man, it's true. But what he lacked in strength and courage he made up for in charisma and wit. It was only thanks to his planning that the previous leader, Terrence Suave, could be overthrown.
And those are only a few of the reasons why the Toppat Clan loved their leader.
The Right Hand Man was another reason. Stoic, tough, and endlessly devoted to the chief, he kept the Clan going, even when things seemed hopeless.

It was thanks to these two men that the Toppat Clan could not only recover from all the damage Suave had caused, but become the most infamous criminal organization on the planet. And thanks to chief Copperbottom's intrigues and schemes they became untouchable.

It's easy to imagine how devastated the Clan was when both the leader and his right hand were arrested.

Finding a new leader wasn't an easy task. Usually the second in command would step up, but that wasn't an option now. And so it was left to the elites to promote one of their own.
To say people were surprised when Sven Svenson was announced as the new chief would be an understatement. It was no secret that the swede was very ambitious, being the youngest member ever to be granted the title of elite. But he was also known for sticking to his own division and avoiding clan-wide politics.

Svenson knew that he would have to prove himself to the Clan. He knew that some accused him of being a spoiled brat, who had only gotten this far thanks to his connections to the head of communications.
He hadn't wanted this position, but no one else would step up. And Svenson couldn't sit idly while the Clan, his home, fell apart. With Carol Cross, a capable and respected elite as his Right Hand Lady, and Burt Curtis as his liaison, he would lead the Toppat Clan into a new era of prosperity.
If chief Copperbottom had made them the most powerful people on earth, chief Svenson would rule the universe. Nothing would get in his way!

IT'S FINALLY HERE!! THE DRAWING I TEASED FOREVER AGO!

Coloring this took forever because I had no idea what to do with the light. I really wanted to have a light area on the bottom left and a dark shadow over everything else. But also colored light coming from Burt's tablet. Needless to say, that was far above my skill level.

All things considered, I think it came out okay. Definitely the most ambitious drawing I've made so far.

As has been requested, I tried to document my drawing process while working on this. The "tutorial" will be posted tomorrow.
