Spearos x Male Fire Spearton Reader Part 2

Your POV

I once again walked in the snowy forest of Ice Hills. Spearos indirectly said that he would be in the same clearing we where we first met.

I reached the said area and looked around. The sun was just starting to set and the moon was slowly rising. I decided to wait until it got dark.

When it did, I looked around for the old Spearton. I kicked a few stones while getting impatient.

However, I heard the sound of footsteps and crunching snow. In front of me, Spearos appeared. This time, he wore his helmet instead of just his hood and cape.

"So you chose to accept my offer." He said. "Yeah, but only for the strength, skill improvement, and cool stuff." I told him.

"Well, at least you agreed." Spearos gestured for me to follow him. "This way, I know a better place to train."

I followed behind the Spearton as he led me through the woods. I clutched my shield for warmth whenever a cold breeze passed us.

"Here, this place has an open space suitable for us to have our training." Spearos said. I looked around.

It was an area with thick snow and some trees yet ample space for a squad of Speartons to train.

"So lets get started shall we?" Spearos told me. "Get into a fight stance." I nodded and did what he said.

"Mhm, good posture and proper grip of the spear. Raise your shield higher and face ahead of you, not towards the ground." Spearos commented. "Now, attack."

I obeyed and charged at the old Spearton. Spearos blocked off my attack with his shield. "Hm, grip should be tighter, and fix your foot work."

"Lets try this again." Spearos said as he pushed me back. "Now charge." I did as I was told and charged at Spearos again.

"For the Spears sake, fix your foot work. Strong foot first and same foot in front of you when you stop to attack." He pushed me back again.

"Ugh, look, its just very hard to walk on snow." I groaned. "That is no excuse in a battle. You must always be prepared to fight in any kind of environment." Spearos replied.

"Again. We won't move on until you perfect your foot work." "Pfft, what's the point of the stupid foot work anyway?" I scoffed.

"Balance so that you won't trip easily." Spearos answered me. "Now charge." I sighed as I charged at him again.

After I managed to do the proper foot work, he told me to defend myself against his attacks.

When Spearos charged at me, I blocked him off with my shield. But then he suddenly kicked at my feet, causing me to fall.

"Hey! You can't-" "Leaving any area of your body unguarded makes you vulnerable to even the simplest attacks." Spearos explained.

"Proper position and angle of the shield along with quick reaction is the best way to prevent this." He told me as I got up. "Now, defend."

The old Spearton charged at me again. I blocked him off and also tried to defend myself from his kicks and jumps.

But he was too fast and I eventually fell back again. "Better than the first but still needs a lot of work." Spearos said. "Again."

It was only 20 minutes but Im starting to get tired of his voice saying "again". I think I should try to do something different this time.

When Spearos charged at me, I blocked him with my shield. But when he tried to kick at me, I attempted to push him back.

He didn't expect it and when he was pushed away, I charged at him with my spear. However, Spearos recovered quickly and headbutted me at the last second.

I fell and my face landed on the snow. I immediately got up and gagged as I spit out the snow and ice that got into my mouth.

I heard a small chuckle coming from the older Spearton. I glared at him while trying to shake off the coldness in my face.

"What are you laughing at?" I asked as I wiped off the last bits of frost from my face. "Your reaction to falling on the snow is quite... humourous." Spearos responded.

"Also, I told you to defend. What was that?" "The element of surprise. Afterall, offense is the best defense." I answered.

Spearos rolled his eyes. "You disobeyed my orders and you were reckless to think that I would not recover from the surprise...

"...However, surprise and ambush are necessary elements in a fight and you made a good point about the offensive defense." I smiled at what Spearos said.

"I think that's enough for now. We'll increase the duration as we proceed with the training sessions." He told me.

"K, I guess I'll go home now." I then turned around to leave. But a strong and freezing wind blew past me.

I shivered and my body suddenly went numb and I almost collapsed. Fortunately, Spearos was still behind me so he caught me in his arms.

"Uhh-" I blushed at the awkward situation. "A fierce storm is going to hit tonight." Spearos said. "Maybe its best if you stay at my place for the night."

"Yeahh, sure." I replied as I got out of his hands. "Im not used to the cold anyway." The old Spearton nodded and led me to his house in Ice Hills.

All the while, I was still embarassed from the fall into my trainer's arms.

Ok so explaining the training, I don't know how Speartons train so I just got some ideas from a scene in the first movie of PoTC.
