Regular POV
"Y/N, do you mind heading to the Archidon territory for a while?" The young Swordwrath general asked you. "I need you to send a message to Kytchu."
You growled quietly. "Why can't you do it?" You responded. "Because I don't have time." Xiphos replied. "I've got a few trainees who just got kidnapped so Im on a mission with Atreyos to recover them."
"If you're going on this important mission, why are you still here?" You scoffed while getting your sword as you get ready to head out.
"To tell you to send this." Xiphos handed you a scroll. "Do not read what is written or else I will have you executed."
You looked at the folded scroll and nodded. "K, I'll be on my way then." You said as you started to leave.
"Oh, and be careful of the stray arrows from training Archidons." Xiphos called out. You rolled your eyes and left his sight.
It was quite a long journey to the Archidons. Time to time, you would get curious about what was written on the scroll but you took Xiphos' threat seriously and didn't open it.
When you finally reached the Archidons, you sighed. "Well, better hurry. Don't want to waste anymore of my time."
You trudged along the muddy ground to make your way to the treehouse where Kytchu is probably in right now.
When everything seemed to be fine, you heard the sound of an arrow being shot. Before you could react, an arrow hit your shoulder.
You pull it out and look around. "What the-" You were interrupted by a few more arrows being shot in your direction.
"DIE JUGGERKNIGHT! THIS WILL TEACH YOU TO KEEP OUT OF OUR TERRITORY!!" You look behind you and see an Archidon charging while aiming his arrows at you.
But he stopped immediately when he saw you. "Wait, you're not a Juggerknight." The Archidon said. "Do I look like one?" You asked with sarcasm in your voice.
The Archidon tried to say something but decided not to. "So you mind telling me why you were shooting at me?" You said impatiently.
"Well, uh, Kytchu put me on guard duty today and Im taking my job very seriously." He replied. "Uh huh, I can see that." You responded while taking out the arrows that hit you.
"Hey, are you a Swordwrath?" The Archidon asked. You nodded. "What's it to you?" You told him.
"Cool! I have a few friends who are Swordwraths but we're not that close because they think Im an idiot." He said but with little sadness in his voice.
"Ehhh, ok. So, um, I gotta go now. I have a scroll that Xiphos asked me to deliver to Kytchu." You said while showing the scroll Xiphos gave you.
But the Archidon swiftly grabbed it from you. "Hey! Xiphos said that I could get executed if he found out I read it!" You cried while trying to grab the scroll back.
"Dear Kytchu,
I sent this message because I was wondering if you were free this weekend. I was hoping that you could hang out with me in Pertland once I get back from my mission.
With love, Xiphos."
The Archidon read out was written in the scroll. You were left confused. "Wait, so Xiphos asked me to deliver Kytchu an invitation to a date?" You asked.
"Pretty much." The Archidon smiled as he handed the scroll back to you. You take the scroll and fold it again. "Well, if Xiphos finds out, I'll tell him that some guy read the letter out loud to me." You said.
"Yeah. Anyways, you should really get going." The Archidon told you while helping take out the remaining arrows on you. "But Im pretty sure Kytchu will agree to Xiphos' date."
"Heh, you're funny." You smiled as you prepare to leave. "We should hang around again sometime. Whats your name?"
"Perin, what about you?" He replied. "Y/N. Nice meeting you, Perin. See you again soon!" You smiled as you walk away to continue the errand Xiphos sent you to do.
Perin POV
I watch as Y/N walked away. I smile to myself as I was happy that I made a friend who didn't think I was dumb.
I whisper her name quietly over and over again as I continue my patrol.
