Your POV
Its been weeks since my encounter with Xiphos and the Royal Siblings. They haven't been around in town since. Probably cuz of the dagger incident.
Speaking of the dagger, when I sold it, I got a lot of gold... like a large amount. The guy was wondering how I managed to get it and I just shrugged.
Recently, I've managed to get my hands on more expensive valuables like weapons of Elite Soldiers.
I decided to take a break since I had enough gold to provide for my mother. I hung around the Archidon Territory since I always liked a bit of nature.
I was alone. I always was. Since I was younger, I never had any friends. All I had was my mother... my father left us when I was 5.
I was too deep in thought that I didn't notice someone call me. "Hey you! Weren't you that person who stole something from the Elite Spearton?"
I look behind me and see an Archidon kid who looked about 7 years old. "Yeah, and what are you gonna do about it?" I chuckled.
The kid scowled at me before running off. I continued on my way but then I heard more footsteps.
"Hands in the air, thief!" I heard bows being aimed at me. I did as I was told and look behind me to see 2 Archidons wearing silver helmets.
"Wow, you actually listened to that silly child?" I scoffed. "That child was my son." One of the guards replied. "But that doesn't matter. We're taking you to Princess Kytchu."
They warned me that they'll shoot if I did anything stupid so I let them lead me. I tried to look as calm as I can even if I was really worried.
They took me to the treehouse where Princess Kytchu was. They bowed before her while I just rolled my eyes.
"Princess Kytchu, we caught the thief that stole the Elite Spearton's dagger." One of the guards proudly said.
Kytchu looked from him to me. "Pfft, I returned it anyway." I muttered. The Archidon leader signalled the guards to leave us alone.
"So, you're one of the most well-known thieves in Inamorta?" Kytchu asked. I shrugged. "Yea, and you're the most well-known Archidon who did some lame arrow trick to get the throne?"
Kytchu looked unamused as I smirk. "I ought to have you executed." She said. "Both for theft and disrespect."
I pretended to not care. "You can't have me executed without a trial or hearing me out first." I respond. Kytchu gave me a look that said "seriously?".
"Because of my position, I actually have the right to execute you at will." Kytchu said with a smart smile.
"I- um, good point-" "And stop trying to talk me out of it. You caused enough chaos in Order and I can't have you roaming in the streets again."
Before I could respond, I heard someone interrupt. "Wait, Kytchu!" Oh, you gotta be kidding me.
I see the Swordwrath with a blue cape rush in the room. "Don't... execute... her." He said in between pants.
"The heck happened to you?" I muttered. "I heard a well-known thief was turned in so I thought it would be you." Xiphos answered.
Kytchu watched us in confusion. "Sis, I know you might be mad, but I object to the execution of this Swordwrath." Xiphos pointed at me.
"According to law, executions can be cancelled if someone of equal power to you objects. In that case, you can't kill her because I, your brother, objected."
This was starting to be a bit embarrasing. "I do not know him." I pointed at Xiphos. "He's completely out of his mind."
"Shut up, Y/N. Im tryna save you." Xiphos told me. Kytchu looked at her brother. "Xiphos, you were correct about the law of execution objection. But you got one thing wrong...
"You do not have equal power as me because Im older than you."
Xiphos' face fell as he realized his sister was right. "But, since you seem to like this pickpocket, I'll this slide for now." Kytchu smiled.
"Wait, really?!" Xiphos and I said at the same time. Kytchu nodded. "Yes, now you may go." She gestured at the door.
"But if I catch Y/N again..." She gave me with a far from friendly look. "I won't be so merciful."
Xiphos and I ran outside after waving goodbye to Kytchu. "Thanks for the save, I guess." I told the Swordwrath beside me.
"No problem." He replied. "But you owe me something now." I rolled my eyes. "Fine, what do you want?"
"A date... I was thinking maybe in Pertland..." Xiphos went closer to my face. "Ugh alright." I answered as I push his head away.
"Its the least I can do anyway."
Ayo sorry this took long. I underwent a period of *cough* depression *more coughing*.
And I might have caught Covid but I didn't admit I was feeling sick because my school would have had me suspended for a week :]
