Oh god oh god oh god.

I take deep breaths as I stand at the New York airport.

My week in Toronto went great and Brian and I decided to come to terms regarding my contract and the official statement that I'm now part of Team Orser again - I might let him coach me should I be able to skate again - and want to figure everything out after I return from my trip home.

Through a couple of long talks, we agreed that I would move in with Yuzuru and Jun-hwan, since they have more space in their apartment that they shared than Javier has. I will return to Toronto in a while with some more belongings and then we'll see how that goes. I hope my Japanese isn't embarrassing, because every knowledge I had over Japanese flew out the window over time. At least I'm able to communicate with Jun-hwan without problems.

Anyways, back to the present.

Managing luggage with crutches is not easy, let me tell you that.

"Hey, do you need help?", a voice tunes up beside me, startling me.

When I look up, I come face to face with a grinning Carleigh.

I actually forgot that I told her I was coming. Good job, Y/N.

Carleigh grins as she hugs me tight "It's so good to have you back!"

I smile sheepishly "I don't know for how long though."

"I'm just gonna ignore that you said that and will enjoy this sweet moment of reunion before your future boyfriend takes you away from me for ever," Carleigh says with a laugh, to which I frown in return "What do you mean, future boyfriend?"

Carleigh pulls away from the hug and shoots me a deadpan look "Girl, you know who I'm talking about."

I blink a couple of times, trying to figure out what she meant, only to have her shrug it off with a groan "Let's just get your bag into the car and get to the theater."

I nod and watch her as she takes my bag, leading the way to her car while asking me all kinds of questions.

"How's it going with your little prodigy?"

I laugh at her name for Jun-hwan. Thayne apparently didn't teach her how to pronounce his name so she doesn't even try.

"Jun-hwan is doing good. Even though I can't really show him what I mean, he's complying pretty well. I can only imagine what things will be like once I'm able to actually show him on the ice. How great we will work out together as a team."

"Okay Miss Dreaming, get off that cloud seven of yours or something. That kid is fourteen and you are way too old for him and it's illegal, so stop yourself before you get too touchy," Carleigh huffs with a big grin and I stare at her in disbelief, before slapping her leg with my crutch, to which she laughs.

"Please remind me again why we are friends," I say and frown at her while getting into her car, seriously considering to take a cab which would be much safer for Carleighs physical and my mental health.

"Oh come on sweetheart, you love me," Carleigh grins with a posh, British accent, making me laugh and reply in the same tone "I can't say I do, my dear."

Carleigh snickers and drops into the drivers seat, heading off seconds later.

"And you really haven't told Thayne I'm coming back today?", I ask again, just to make sure. I've asked her this question so many times over the phone and she always swore that she didn't do it.

"I really haven't told him. But I did say I'm heading out to get coffee, so we're gonna have to drive by Starbucks and get some."

And so we have nine cups of coffee in the car about ten minutes later, one of which is for me and another for Carleigh, the rest for those of the cast who had asked.

The closer we get to the theater the more nervous I get.

How will Thayne react? Will he be happy? Or rather mad? I mean, I did leave him without another word and even though we talked it out a week ago, who knows. He could still very well be mad at me.

"Don't worry about your man, he won't be mad," Carleigh shoots a short glance my way, to which I frown "How do you..."

"There's steam coming from your ears from thinking too hard," she snickers and I roll my eyes in response, before Carleigh gets serious and adds "No seriously, I believe Thayne will be so excited to see you again, like a child that got his Christmas present three weeks earlier and it being exactly what he wished for."

"I am thankful for that comparison. I am now aware that I am a Christmas present three weeks early."

Carleigh laughs and rolls her eyes, finally coming to a stop with the car and announcing cheerfully "We're here!"

I bite my lip and glance out the window. Surely, there it is. My doom awaiting me with open arms.

Carleigh hops out of the car and grabs the two packs with the cast's coffee from the back and makes her way towards the theater.

When she notices I don't follow, she stops and turns, shooting me a glare so evil I shiver and jump out of the car as fast as my crippled knee can handle. This woman is definitely possessed by the devil.

By the door she greets the security man with a smile, who holds the door open for the two of us. Looks like Lin warned him of me coming and me being allowed to enter the theater.

"I've got coffee!", Carleigh yells when we walk down the aisle towards the stage where the cast is currently rehearsing Farmer Refuted.

They would have continued, that is if Thayne's eyes wouldn't have found mine through Carleigh's distraction.

Thayne stops mid sentence and stares at me speechless, as if he's seen a ghost.

A couple of the cast members who asked for coffee shuffle towards Carleigh, greeting you with a smile and or a hug.

With the coffee gone to their respective owners and the music on pause, everyone waits for the main character in this scene to make a move.

Everybody knows what'll happen next, nobody expects Thayne to continue with the song. Hell, Thayne is stuck in such a trance, he doesn't even notice how he's the only one left on the stage, the rest of the cast that was asked to be up there having left the stage the moment Carleigh yelled that she's got coffee.

And when everyone started to think all hope is lost, Thayne finally moves.

It's like something snapped inside him, as Thayne jumps off the stage and practically sprints down the aisle towards me, Carleigh and the rest moving out of the way when he comes barreling past.

And then he reaches me.

His arms come tight around my waist.

And his lips crash onto mine.
