~3rd Pov~

Soon the two gem hybrids then made it back home, appearing on the warp pad in a dome on the back of Steven's house. They then noticed their friend, Connie, sitting on the floor. She was reading something but then noticed the two.

"Steven! Holly! What took so long?" Connie asked as she got up. Holly and Steven jumped off the warp pad and gave Connie a hug. After their group hug, Steven pulled away with a sigh.

"The Diamonds. They really want me to move in." Steven said, rubbing the back of his neck.

"Why?" Connie asked.

"Because they want to smother me with attention 24/7." Steven said.

Connie and Holly chuckled.

"Come on, Steven. It kind of sounds fun." Holly said.

"No, it doesn't." Steven said.

"Well, I'm glad I got to see you two before heading out." Connie said, pressing a button which made the door of the observatory open.

"You're really going through with it?" Steven asked, turning off something on a control board.

The three then walked out of the conservatory and walked down the stairs there.

"Of course. I've always wanted to go to space camp." Connie said as they made it to the glass door that led to Steven's room.

"But you've literally been to space multiple times." Steven said.

"Yeah, and Steven told me you've done way cooler stuff than just camp there." Holly said.

"My parents are doing what they can to support my interests. It's sweet." Connie said before opening the glass door, walking inside with the two hybrids, and picking up a duffel bag. "Plus, I get all the freeze-dried ice cream I can eat."

"But Sadie Killer and the Suspects are playing tonight. It's gonna be Holly's first time seeing a rock show. It's a rock show a little better than space camp?" Steven asked.

"It's maybe equal to space camp." Connie said.

Holly and Steven chuckled at that. Then Connie's phone vibrates and she looks at it.

"That's my mom. I should get going." Connie said and put her phone in her pocket.

Connie gave Steven a hug and then she hugged Holly.

"Try and confess to Steven while I'm gone." Connie whispered to Holly.

Holly pulled away and her face was red. Connie then ran over to the stairs.

"Okay! Bye!" Connie exclaimed and walked down the stairs.

Holly looked a little mad but she then looked over to Steven and smiled. Steven smiled back which made Holly happy. She was glad she had friends like Steven and Connie. They heard the door close downstairs so Steven then ran out onto the balcony.

"Tell everyone that space camp that space used to be super scary and dangerous but it's great now!" Steven exclaimed.

"I will!" Connie said as she waved and walked away.

Holly sighed contently at Steven's silliness, closing her eyes. Steven looked at Holly and smiled. He felt really happy around her.

"Here we are in the future,

Here we are in the future and it's bright!"

Holly opened her eyes to Steven singing.

"Nothing to fear,

No one to fight."

Steve then walks into his room and looks at a picture of Garnet, Amethyst, and Pearl that was taken when he was younger.

"I can't believe we've come so far."

Steven then laid on his bed, holding the picture. Holly chuckled at him and laid next to him.

"Happily ever after, here we are!"

Steven then sat up and Holly looked at him a little confused.

"Once upon a time,

I thought I'd always be in my mother's shadow.

Answering for her crimes,

I thought I'd always be in an endless battle.

Till I began to hone

A power all my own.

That I could feel growing stronger everyday!"

He then picked up Holly bridal style and got up. Holly blushed at that. He then went to the stairs and summoned his bubble.

"And now I saved the world,

Not just that

The whole galaxy's safe!

We did it!"

With his bubble, they rolled down the stairs, safely. Once down the stairs, he put Holly down and went outside.

"Here we are in the future!"

Steven then have Cat Steven a pat. Holly then joined him outside and chuckled. The two then noticed Greg on the beach with Pearl in front of the house. Greg was by his van and Lion was inside. Holly and Steven then ran over to them.

"Hey, Pearl! Hey, Dad!" Steven exclaimed.

"Hi, guys." Holly said.

"'Ey schtu-ball, Holly X-mas." Greg said, putting down a guitar and wearing sunglasses.

"Steven! Holly! I'm learning to play the 'bass'." Pearl said as she learned a bass guitar but she said the fish name.

"I keep tellin' her it's 'base'." Greg said as Steven sat down. Holly remained standing.

"Excuse me, b-a-s-s spells 'bass'." Pearl said with a smile.

"You're the boss!" Greg said, taking off his sunglasses. Steven and Holly giggled at that.

"Heck yes, I am." Pearl said and then jumped up on top of Greg's van. She started to sing as she played the bass.

"Once upon a time,

I only lived to be of Pink Diamond's service,

Till the day the two of us

Snuck down to be on this planet's surface.

We became our fantasy,

And I was sure she set me free.

But in the end,

I guess I never left her side

Pearl then jumped off the van and sang the last part with Steven and Holly.

"Here we are in the future!"

Everyone laughed as Lion came out of Greg's van and then laid down by Steven and Holly.

"Hey buddy." Steven said, giving Lion a pat. "Holly and I are gonna head into town."

"See you two at the concert tonight?" Greg asked.

"We wouldn't miss it for the world!" Steven said.

Steven and Holly backed up a bit. They then held hands and then jumped into Lion's mane. They were then brought into the world of Lion's mane as Steven started to lead the two of them. They couldn't breath in this world so they were both humming the song the were singing. They then came out of the little world they were in and exited through Lars' hair.

"Here we are!"

The two hybrids sang as they jumped through. They then both landed in two seats that Garnet was holding up for them. She then put them down by a table by the Off colors.

"I saved you two a seat." Garnet said.

"Thanks Garnet!" Holly said with a smile.

"Hey guys, what'd we miss?" Steven asked the Off colors as Lars served a good looking cake.

"You're just in time for my favorite part of the story." Garnet said.

"Once upon a time,

A Sapphire came to Earth

With her Ruby soldier.

Sapphire's deadly fate was sealed,

Until the Ruby rushed in to hold her.

Suddenly, they were fusing,

Beautiful, strange, confusing.

And there I was,

A bundle of questions,

I never would have believed you then,

Then Garnet, Holly, and Steven all sang.

"Here we are in the future!"

"Lemme just this." Steven said, bubbled two slices of the desert Lars served up and then sent it away.

"Hey, any idea what Amethyst is up to?" Holly asked Garnet.

"I have every idea what everyone is up to." Garnet said, making the gem hybrids chuckle. "You'll find her if you two head to Little Homeworld. Take the warp."

The two followed Garnet's advice and took the warp to Little Homeworld. Steven was about to step off it, not knowing it was in the air, until a whip wrapped around him.

"Woah! Careful dude!" Amethyst said and then pulled him up.

Steven and Amethyst then held finger guns at each other.

"Pew! Pew!" They said and then did their handshake. Holly smiled at that.

"Thanks, Amethyst." Steven said, then the warp under them started to move, causing Holly and Steven to hold onto the ropes holding the warp pad up. "Woah!"

"Steven! Holly! You're just in time! We're about to install the new warp." Bismuth said as she pulled up the warp pad with a hand made crane. Lapis was there as well, sitting next to Bismuth. Peridot then flew up on her trashcan and held her taplet.

"Which means Little Homeworld is 83.7% complete!" Peridot said.

"Only 83.7%? We'd better get cracking." Lapis said, flying up with her water wings.

"I'm on it!" Bismuth exclaimed and moved the warp pad Amethyst, Steven and Holly were on.

They used this to look at Little Homeworld and that it is almost done. They also saw a lot of uncorrupted gems helping out on the ground too.

"Wow." Holly said.

"Little Homeworld's growing fast." Steven said.

"So are you!" Amethyst said, she then shape shifted into Steven. " Look at me! I'm a young adult!"

Holly and Steven chuckled at that as Amethyst shape shifted back to normal.

"I love that all these Gems want to make their new home on Earth. Wish I'd had this when I first emerged." Amethyst said, looking around. Then she started to sing.

"Once upon a time,

I burst to life inside of the Kindergarten,

A product of a war,

That I had no idea I had a part in.

I came out late and alone.

Knew nothing but my home.

But I know now exactly

Who I'm supposed to be,

And it's a part of this family!"

Holly and Steven smiled at that. The warp was then installed into the ground, making Amethyst, Holly jump off of it.

"So, whaddya think?" Amethyst asked Steven and Holly. Steven then started to sing.

"If I could just stop,

Right here and be"

Then Garnet and Pearl warped in using the new warp.

"Finally done!"

Amethyst, Holly, and Steven went over to Garnet and Pearl as Steven took out his phone.

"Finally us!"

Everyone then got in to take a selfie with Steven.

"Finally we..."

Steven then took the picture and then they were outside of Little Homeworld.

"Are in the future!"

The Gems and Holly smiled at that. Holly then noticed a river running by and looked at her reflect. Holly decided to sing

"Once upon a time,

I only lived with my family

In New York City.

Then one day,

A rainstorm stuck

And made everything turn very gritty.

Then it was time for him to go....

I was all alone...

But then I was found,

And made into who I am now today!

And now I have a new family,

They will never ever fade away!

Here we are in the future!"

At then end of the song, Holly hugged Steven and he blushed and smiled. He then picked her up bridal style and jumped up.

"Here we are in the future,

And it's bright!"

All of them sang and they were running through a field. Steven put Holly down but they still held hands with the Gems behind them.

"Nothing to fear,

No one to fight!

I can't believe we've come so far!"

They then stood on top of a hill as Steven and Holly sang and the gems sang after them.

"Happily ever after."

"Happily ever after!"

"Happily ever after!"

"Here we are!"
