You're a gem that doesn't know she's a gem

You lived your life perfectly fine. The only thing was that you don't remember anything from before 5 months ago. You woke up in a bed in a house, with this very nice family who took you and let you live with them. You were confused at why your skin was lightly tinted (y/f/c), and why you had a (g/n) gem on your shoulder but the nice family accepted it, so you can too.

You and the family just moved to beach city and at first you didn't know why, but now you've got a feeling you know. You watch as they talk to these people who are kinda similar to you. They're tinted, with gems, and they keep glancing at you. You suspect that the family is giving you away to them, and you get ready to say goodbye.

Even though you got ready it was still hard, but eventually they left and you turned to these "gems" who were eyeing you warily. "Um, hi?" You call out. The tall one nods and starts to walk away with the other two following but still glancing at you. You take that as your hint to follow.
