(No ones POV)

It has been a month since diamonds attacked the earth and obliterated every gem on the surface. Your actions were quite questionable in the eyes of diamonds, especially for Yellow Diamond. She felt ashamed that her best creation to the date has decided to commit such an act of betrayal by disobeying orders. 

After being "captured" by the soldiers of the ship where the you and the diamonds were, you were now waiting patiently in a cell for your trial. You really weren't captured by the guards. You just decided not to resist so Ash wouldn't get caught in the collateral damage since she was also in the same ship. You could easily have made a hole in the ship and escape. But you wanted to make sure nothing happened to Ash. Your loyalty is questioned by all Homeworld now. But no matter what, no one can question your loyalty to the gems closest to you.

You were in a dark room with your hands tied with steel handcuffs that covered your arms to the area of your elbows.

Onyx(mind): How long will they take?

Conveniently, a door slid up, allowing a Topaz soldier to walk inside your cell. On the other side of the door, you could see other Topaz soldiers and some Quartz soldiers too. Each of those warrior gems was armed and prepared with all kinds of weapons and armor.

Topaz: General- I mean... Onyx. Everything is ready for the trial. 

You got up from the ground and started to crack a little you neck and shoulders.

Onyx: Finally.

You started following the Topaz soldier out of the cell. The rest of the guards were walking next to you while they stared at you. It was easy to tell that some of them were afraid that you would try to escape and then start shattering each one of them for fun... Even as a traitor, the reputation of the infernal gem continued to frighten many.

After a short period of time walking through the halls of Yellow Diamond's palace and receiving many looks from the gems of her court, you finally reached the throne room. Yellow Diamond was sitting on her gigantic throne. As soon as you setted a foot on the throne room, Yellow Diamond's gaze quickly changed to a mixture of anger and sadness. Yellow Pearl was standing a few steps to the right of Yellow Diamond's leg. She would take note of everything that will be said during this trial. Surprisingly, there was no Zircon in the throne room. Apparently Yellow Diamond wants to hear directly your reasons for betraying homeworld and your version of the story. 

You stopped walking a few steps from Yellow Diamond's throne. Two Topaz guards aimed their battle axes at the height of your neck to make sure you wouldn't try anything funny. You looked up and looked directly into Yellow Diamond's eyes.

YellowPearl: The trial starts now.

Normally, Yellow Diamond would be laying her head on her arm every time she was sitting on her throne. But this time, Yellow Diamond was clenching the armrest of her throne with both hands.

YellowDiamond: Onyx... What do you have to say in your defense?

Onyx: Nothing that can prove that my actions have a fair purpose.

YellowDiamond: Fair purpose? You allowed the crystal gems to escape from planet earth! The same crystal gems that shattered Pink!

Yellow Diamond punched the armrest of her throne, making small cracks on it. You didn't show much reaction to Yellow Diamond's anger demonstration.

Onyx: No... What I did was save many gems that were bravely fighting for Homeworld's honor. Gems that, by the way, were going to be unfairly sacrificed for an infection that does not exist!

YellowDiamond: Of course it exist! That stupid planet spreads a virus capable of corrupting and converting each gem into a traitor! Just... Look at what it did to my best creation!

Yellow Diamond pointed at you. Her eyes were full of anger and frustration. Yellow Pearl was writing down every word and every action that was happening. 

YellowDiamond: Ugh...

Yellow Diamond pinched her forehead and slowly began to calm down. She looked at you directly with a more serious look. 

YellowDiamond: Onyx... Things don't have to end like this. You were supposed to make White pay more attention to me... You would be the greatest of my achievements and my pride. 

Yellow Diamond's face was reflecting a more empathetic look. She really didn't wanted to have to come up with a verdict that ended up with an execution.

YellowDiamond: I know you better than any other gem. I know there is something, some kind of reason why you did those terrible actions. If you explain to me what happened while you were on earth, I promise that your punishment will be reduced to a complete erase of memory with a rejuvenator.

There was only one moment when you were tempted to explain everything. For a single moment you wanted to reveal Pink Diamond's secret and show that the fault of this whole war belonged to her. But there were two things that prevented you from accepting this offer... One of those reasons was that there was absolutely no way anyone would believe the story that Rose was really Pink Diamond. But the most important reason... It was your pride. You were born to be a warrior who would never accept defeat or the mercy of the enemy. Accepting that offer was the equivalent to accepting the disgusting taste of shame from being a coward. 

Onyx: Yeah... I have something to say.

Yellow Diamond leaned in to hear what you were going to say better. Yellow Pearl was curious about the story behind your actions. You coughed a few times while adjusting your throat.

The guards in the throne room gasped in surprise. Yellow Diamond was more than furious. She got up from her throne with electricity surrounding her body. Taking advantage that her diamond was distracted, Yellow Pearl covered her mouth to hide her giggles.

YellowDiamond: HOW DARE YOU TO USE THAT LANGUAGE TO CALL ME THAT?! DO YOU THINK THIS IS FUNNY?!

Onyx: Well... I have to be honest during a trial. So... Yeah, it was pretty hilarious.

YellowDiamond: Enough! Guards, take Onyx to his cell and prepare the execution! 

Suddenly, you started to laugh hysterically while the guards looked at you confused.

YellowDiamond: What is so funny?!

Onyx: My diamond... You said you knew me better than any other gem.

CRACK

The steel handcuffs on your arms started to break slowly. The guards began to back away slowly while preparing their weapons.

Onyx: Well, you should know that I wouldn't let someone shatter my gem without a good fight... My diamond.

YellowDiamond: Guards! 

Two Topaz soldiers charged towards you. The first one swinged her battle axe to cut your head off. But you ducked under her attack and striked her head with your steel handcuffs. Both her helmet and the metal handcuffs on your arms broke instantly with the force of the impact. The second Topaz soldier tried to attack you with her weapon. But you quickly caught the battle axe of the first Topaz soldier before it could touch the ground and you used it to slice the second Topaz in half, forcing her to go back inside her gem. Then, you quickly turned around and threw the battle axe that you were holding towards some Quartz soldiers who were approaching you. The battle axe striked the three Quartz soldiers who were going to try to attack you, poofing them into their gems. The other guards were too scared to attack you or try to approach you after you easily defeated that small group in less than ten seconds.

Onyx: Come on! Give me your best shot!

YellowDiamond: Enough!

You turned around quickly, only to be completely crushed by Yellow Diamond's giant boot. The area of the floor where Yellow Diamond stomped you was covered with crack marks.

YellowDiamond: Pearl!

YellowPearl: Y-Yes, my diamond?

Yellow Pearl was hiding behind one of the pillars of the throne room.

YellowDiamond: Call a group of Peridots and Bismuths to repair this-

???: Is that all you got?

YellowDiamond: What the-

Yellow Diamond quickly looked at her leg. Her foot was being lifted by you in your fire form. Yellow Diamond applied more force in her leg in an attempt to crush you. But to her surprise, you pushed Yellow Diamond's leg to the side, causing her to fail her stomping. Then, You held Yellow Diamond by her heel and started pulling. You turned to the right while pulling Yellow Diamond's heel, using her as a human hammer to hit the guards trying to help their diamond. But you weren't done there, oh no. You kept pulling Yellow Diamond's heel as you were spinning at a high speed, making her spin with you while you were holding her. Then, you suddenly released Yellow Diamond, making her crash into her own throne. The impact shattered Yellow Diamond's throne and she ended up buried on the wall. Yellow Diamond opened her eyes and her angry look quickly changed to a look of surprise. You were in the air, quickly falling towards her. 

Onyx: Let's take this outside!

You hitted Yellow Diamond on her forehead with a strong headbutt. The headbutt was so strong that the wall broke and Yellow Diamond fell through the hole that caused with your attack. Then, you threw a fireball at Yellow Diamond, making her fall even more painful and making her go through many roofs of the lower floors of her palace. You jumped after Yellow Diamond, following the trail of destruction to find her. 

Onyx: The party is only starting!

You landed on a floor full of many statues and murals that related a bit of Homeworld's history. But your admiration for your surroundings quickly stopped when you saw that Yellow Diamond was emerging from the rubble. But something was different... Yellow Diamond was now the same height as you.

Onyx: Taking this serious, aren't we?

YellowDiamond: I know you are very fast. Staying in my normal form would only make me an easy target to hit.

Both Yellow Diamond and you were staring at each other. The tension was very strong in this room. 

Onyx: You know... I was tired of having to ignore what I wanted just to keep others safe.

Yellow Diamond rised an eyebrow.

YellowDiamond: What are you talking about?

Onyx: But now... Fuck loyalty! From now on, I will do exactly what I want! I was created to be a warrior and a warrior I will be! 

YellowDiamond: You lost your mind...

Onyx: I'm just accepting what I am. General Onyx is no more... From now on-

You used your body's flames to propel yourself towards Yellow Diamond.

Onyx: I'm Onyx, the infernal gem!

You tried to hit Yellow Diamond with a punch. But she caught your wrist before the blow could connect on her face. Yellow Diamond tried to counterattack, but you caught her wrist in the same way she caught yours. Both Yellow Diamond and you broke free from each other's grip and locked hands. Yellow Diamond and you were applying a lot of strength in an attempt to overwhelm the other. The floor beneath you two was cracking, along with the walls and windows. Yellow Diamond and you jumped back to gain distance. But the two of you charged quickly, throwing a punch at each other along with a battlecry. Your fist was covered in flames while Yellow Diamond's fist was covered in electricity. Both fists collided with each other, creating a shock wave that broke every window and statue in the room. 

Onyx: Hahaha! This is so much fun!

YellowDiamond: Fun? In what way this is funny?!

Onyx: I always loved a good fight. But now that I feel more free after finally accepting what I am, this feels much better!

Yellow Diamond let out a small growl and used her powers to blast you away with a beam of lightning. You were flying above the floor with some electricity around your body. But you quickly recovered and landed on your feet. You knew that you couldn't let Yellow Diamond hit you for too long with her power. The more powerful the gem, the longer it would take for her to poof her. But that was no excuse for to letting yourself get hit by that. But you quickly woke up from your thoughts when you saw a pillar flying towards you. You summoned your sword from your gem to slice the pillar in half. But behind the pillar, there were more pieces of rubble and pieces of statues flying towards you. Yellow Diamond was throwing anything around her towards you. You used your sword to destroy anything that Yellow Diamond was using as a projectile against you.

Onyx: Stop throwing pieces of history at me!

A cloud of dust began to rise around you for all the things you destroyed with your sword. You were looking in all directions for any sign of Yellow Diamond. But the dust cloud was too thick to distinguish something through it. 

Onyx(mind): Where is she?!

Suddenly, you saw a light approaching you. You jumped to the right, dodging one of the Yellow Diamond's lightning bolts. But to your surprise, Yellow Diamond appeared in front of you after dodging her attack. That previous attack was just a distraction to caught you off guard and it worked. 

Yellow Diamond striked you with an uppercut, sending you flying towards the ceiling. You were breaking many roofs because the force of Yellow's attack. You crashed against one final wall, finally stopping ascending. In a completely Ironic turn, Yellow Diamond's attack sent you directly back to the throne room. 

Onyx: Ugh... Back to square one, I suppose.

Yellow Diamond came out of the hole that had your shape and stood in the middle of the throne room with her arms crossed. There was an arrogant smile on her face.

YellowDiamond: Time to give up, Onyx. There is no way for you to win this battle.

Onyx: Give up, what is that?

YellowDiamond: *Sigh* Stubborn until the end, huh?

Yellow Diamond closed her eyes for a few moments.

YellowDiamond: Then so be it!

Yellow Diamond opened her eyes and fired a blast of lightning towards you. You threw a wave of flames from your hands to counterattack. Both attacks collided with each other, creating a big explosion. The explosion was so large that it could be seen from outside of Yellow Diamond's palace. Inside the palace, everything was falling apart for the collide of powers. But that didn't mean the fight was over. Both you and Yellow Diamond were jumping through the rubble that was falling to attack the other. Each piece of rubble was another platform to use as another opportunity to attack the other. Things were getting so much out of hand that both you and Yellow Diamond were not aware anymore of where was down and where was up. But something happened... Something that neither Yellow Diamond or you were expecting... Gravity is a heartless bitch. 

Before one of you two could connect a lethal blow against the other, both of you crashed to the ground while a pile of debris fell on top of you and Yellow Diamond. After a few minutes, you emerged from the pile of debris while searching once again for any trace of Yellow Diamond. But suddenly, Yellow Diamond appeared behind you. She wrapped her arm around your neck while holding your head, ignoring the heat of the flames. Then, Yellow Diamond started to release electricity from her body. You were screaming in pain while feeling the electricity running through your body. You tried to break free from her grip but it was no use.

YellowDiamond: It's over, Onyx! I won!

You would not accept a defeat without giving everything you have and that is what you were going to do. Focusing every gram of your strength and energy, you let out an expansive wave of flames, overcoming Yellow Diamond's electricity. The waves of fire emerging from your body were ascending to such an extent that they were even visible from the distance. After a few seconds, you fell on your knees while using your hands so your head wouldn't hit the ground. You lacked energy after that large-scale attack. For that lack of energy you were forced to return to your normal form to catch your breath. You slowly turned around, just to see Yellow Diamond laying on the ground with many burn marks around her body. You slowly got up and summoned your sword from your gem. You walked towards Yellow Diamond and pointed your sword directly at her gem.

Onyx: Do you... have any last words?

Yellow Diamond tried to get up. But she was too weak to keep fighting. But something changed in her facial expression... Instead of being worried, she seemed to be in a state of shock. 

YellowDiamond: White...

Onyx: Huh?

There was a giant shadow growing behind you, much bigger than anything else you've seen. You turned around and saw the robot that belongs to White Diamond... Or well, just the head. The view was really intimidating and you never saw White Diamond intervene directly in something. Suddenly, a light began to emerge from the eyes of White Diamond's robot. You placed your hand in front of you to protect your eyes from the blinding light. After a few seconds, you removed your hand. But to your surprise, you were in a completely different place. In that place there was nothing... Just a complete empty white void.

Onyx: What is this place?

You started looking in all directions in search of something that was not an absolute nothing. But no matter where you looked at, there was only white. 

Onyx: Okay... I'm out of here.

You tried to activate your fire powers to fly and get out of there... But your powers didn't work.

Onyx: Wha- How is this possible?! Where am I?! What is this stupid place?! Where is Yellow?!

No matter how many times you tried, your powers didn't work. You tried to run in one direction to find a way out. But regardless of the distance, you didn't find anything. You tried to scream for help. But you were only able to hear your own voice in the eternal void. You tried to hit the ground to see if this place was a virtual reality room. But you couldn't touch anything... It was as if you were trapped in the void of space...

Time moved and you only had your thoughts as a company. You started to think that your gem has been shattered and that you are probably dead now. But if that were the case, your gem would not be on your back. You weren't inside your gem either. Technically speaking, if you were inside your own gem, you would be in an imaginary version of the world to decide how you want to rebuild your body. But your body was still exactly the same as in your last moments at Homeworld.

(Time Skip)

You didn't know how much time had passed... You were sitting in the middle of the eternal empty white void. Your mind was in a very fragile state. You could hardly remember the reason why you were trapped in this place. The only thing you did second after second, hour after hour, day after day, was to pray that you could get out of this white space. You were begging for a miracle... For anything... And your prayers were miraculously heard.

Suddenly, you heard a very faint sound in the distance. But after not hearing anything but your voice during who knows how long, it was easy for you to recognize other type of sound.

Onyx: Who... Is someone there?

You didn't hear another sound again. But before your hopes could disappear again, the eternal void started to tremble along with a loud sound. It was as if the universe itself was going to explode.

Onyx: What is happening?!

You closed your eyes for a second to blink. But when you opened them again, you were in some kind of weird cell with a force field blocking the exit. You were in a complete state of shock... You didn't know where you were but something was certain, you weren't in that white hell anymore.

???: Ahem!

You looked at the source of the sound and saw a Peridot... But something was different about her. Peridots do not usually wear strange armors.

Peridot: Are you the Onyx that was created in in the sector K-17G?

(I just came up with that location, don't kill me)

You just stood there staring in confusion. You still didn't understand what just happened or where you were.

Onyx: Uh... Y-Yes?

Peridot: Good. Yellow Diamond has a message for you.

A message? What happened? Why did Yellow Diamond have a message for you after everything you did? Whatever Yellow Diamond wanted from you, there was one thing you were sure of... Nothing good would come out from all of this.

(AAAANNNNDDDD DONE!!!)
