I open my eyes. I look around and I laugh like a maniac. But I'm not the one laughing. Bismuth, what did you do? I zap at Bismuth. Again, I didn't do that. My left eye twitches. I zap her again. She screams as I continue to laugh. "Thank you for freeing me!"

It's Eloc speaking through me. Uh-oh. I get up from the ground as Bismuth collapses in front of me. I start walking over towards the barn. I can't stop myself. Eloc is the one in control now. But that's impossible.

I try to yell out to him...but nothing comes out of my mouth. I take a deep breath as I take in the evening breeze. "Oh that feels good. Time to take out another competitor." I swing open the barn doors. "Oh, Peri!"

No. ELOC, NO! I approach Peridot as I snap my fingers. She starts glitching. Lapis rushes into the barn and she stands in front of Peridot with her arms and legs outstretched. "STAY BACK!"

I snap my fingers again and Peridot glitches again. Lapis turns around and she gasps. "PERIDOT!" She quickly turns back around to confront me. "I knew you were out to get her! But I didn't want to believe it!" She tears up.

"I trusted you when I shouldn't have let my guard down! Now Peridot is vulnerable and it's all my fault! AND YOURS!" I duck as a water fist flies into the room. Peridot continues to glitch as Lapis attacks.

She strikes another water fist as I cartwheel away to the other side of the room. I then spin dash over towards Lapis. I jump up and I somersault over her body.

I then zap her gem as I land on the ground. She screams and she clutches her stomache. She coughs as I casually walk up to her face. I spit at it and I chuckle. Lapis growls as I reach into my pocket.

"Well now, isn't this interesting." Peridot glitches again as I take something small and thin out of my pocket. I open my hand to reveal a coin. A penny. "Such a harmless little cent."

"WHY ARE YOU DOING THIS?!" I chuckle and then I laugh. "Because I can." I contemplate the coin. "Hmm...the penny. It's worth a cent in currency. But how much can it be worth in a coin toss?"

"Amethyst, please stop this! You have to spare her! I love her!"
"Ah!" I hold a finger up. "You LOVED her. You gave her away...TO ME!" I place the coin in my right hand. "Now we shall decide her fate for her sin."

I hold out the coin. "So, heads or tails, Lapis?"
"ARE YOU KIDDING ME RIGHT NOW?! WHERE DID THE AMETHYST THAT I KNEW GO?!"
"INSIDE ME. DEAD." I chuckle. "Heads or tails?"

Lapis growls. "I'm not choosing!"
"Then I'll decide it for you."
"WAIT! I'LL CHOOSE HEADS!"
"Pfft! Fine! Tails!" I start to flip the coin...but I stop. I look back at Lapis and I smile. "Why don't you make the toss, Lapis?"

"What?"
"It's either you or me, Lazuli! What will it be?!" She grits her teeth and she swipes the coin from my hand. "Now make the toss."
"What is this for anyway?!"
"Here's how this is going to go down. It's a fifty fifty shot."

"For what?"
"If the coin lands on heads, Peridot will stop glitching. Therefore, she will be spared. But if the coin lands in my favor, she will be corrupted...and I will personally end her suffering."

"YOU WILL NOT!"
"WATCH ME!" Lapis stares at the coin in her hand as it shakes. Lapis starts sweating, her eyes wide. "NOW, LAPIS!" She gasps and she launches the coin into the air. We watch as the coin makes its way downward.

I can see time slowing down. This could be the end for Peridot. I shouldn't have won that bet. Things only keep getting worse. And it's all because of me. It's ALWAYS because of me.

As the coin makes its way down, my smile grows bigger. I show my teeth and I snap my fingers. The coin stops right before it reaches Lapis' hand. Lapis watches in anguish as the coin flips over in mid-air.

Finally, my right eye widens as my pupil constricts. I snap my fingers again and the coin finally lands in Lapis' hand. She covers her mouth and she collapses. Her hand exposes the coin's decision. "Tails."

I look down at Peridot. Her body starts to mutate. "It's curtain call, Peri!" I watch helplessly in horror as Peridot slowly turns into a monster. I hear the growling and then the sound of claws scraping against the wood.

"Time to put you to sleep! FOREVER!" I hear the rushing of footsteps approach the barn. "It's time to make room for a more interesting competition." I zap Peridot over and over again as I hear one final scream.
NO! ELOC! I approach the gem.

"Good night, Peridot." I stomp on the gem, shattering it. I scream. "Mission accomplished. That should weaken their morale even further. I'm done, Amethyst. I hope you're enjoying the show everyone!" I laugh.

"Don't worry! There is a second season coming up and it will be just as interesting as this one!" "AMETHYST!"
"PERIDOT!" It's nothing but screaming at this point. I feel myself going numb. Everything goes dark and everything goes silent.
