Connie got to the house and immediately knew something was wrong. Steven would always greet her when she got there and there were no signs of him leaving the house to come and greet her. She was starting to get worried and she went in, not waiting for Greg to show up. She went in and saw things were shattered, and clothes were thrown around like Steven was looking for something. Connie looked worried when she saw the mess and knew Pearl wasn't there. This made Connie nervous as she pulled out her sword. She snuck around the house and made sure no one was in the house.  She went upstairs to Steven's room and saw that the glass to his door was cracked. Connie then saw something on the TV that was paused, it was a recording of Rose and she looked hurt. Connie looked confused and pressed rewind for the tape. When it was done it played.

Rose looked agitated as she paced back and forth, it looked like Amethyst was recording, "shh Garnet, I wanna hear what she says."

"I can't believe it, Pearl! You know I left Spinel on that hunk of rock and you told Greg?! How could you?! What else did you know without my knowledge?!" Rose cried as she looked red in the face.

Pearl stumbled over her words, but when Rose took a sharp step towards her Pearl squeaked and blurted out something she never wanted to tell Rose, "I KNOW YOU NEVER WANTED A CHILD WITH GREG!"

Rose looked shocked, "how...?"

Pearl looked like she hated herself, "your gem shows your dreams, you're scared to lose your form and you hate Greg for giving you this, what you call, "punishment"...I'm sorry Rose, I—"

Rose held up a hand she looked away, "Don't, Greg can never know that I don't want this child, understand?"

Pearl looked down and nodded, "yes, Rose."

Connie covered her mouth and shook her head, "oh Steven, I'm so sorry." She pulled out her phone and tried to call him, that's when it started ringing on his bed and she got scared, Steven never left without his phone. She heard someone walk into the house and she hid behind a corner.

"Steven?! Steven where are you?!" Greg yelled into the house. When Connie heard him she relaxed and went downstairs.
