Steven hisses in pain as he sits up in a pure white room, he begins to panic when he doesn't see Pearl, Amethyst, or Garnet.

"PEARL?! AMETHYST?! GARNET?!" He screams and goes to stand, making him dizzy and reach for the wall, missing the wall and falling on his face.

"Ow..." he groans and holds his nose, it starts to bleed and he looks shocked, "what the—?" He asks but is, out of nowhere, interrupted by a screech of an intercom in the room that he couldn't see. Steven winced from the screech.

"Hello, Mr. Universe." A woman speaks in a monotone voice, she sounds in her 20's with a British accent.

"W-WHERE'S MY FRIENDS?!" Steven yells and sits up in a hurry.

"It seems you've broken your nose Mr. Universe. We will send in a medic to fix that but you must stay off your feet while you regain your strength." The woman speaks again, she seems to not even hear his question.

"WHERE'S PEARL?! Or AmEtHySt?! O-Or Garnet?" He goes quiet as the grey door in front of him slides open with ease and a small woman about his age walks in. Then the door slides close once again and she stops about a foot away from him, she looks fearful.

"You...won't trap me in a bubble w-will you?" The girl said in fear. Steven looked confused, he goes to answer, a screech from the intercom and Steven winces again.

"Do not talk to the subjects, Namita," the woman says to the young medic. Namita looks at a corner in the room, nods as she walks over and pulls out a few things from her medical bag she had brought.

"Where are my friends?" Steven asks but gets no reply, he pulls away from Namita and glares. "Where. Are. My. Friends?" He said in a icy tone. Namita looks shocked and looks at the same corner from before, then back at Steven and fixes his nose. She packs everything up and stands, she looks at him in apology, then goes to the door. The door slides open again and she leaves the pure white room with the door sliding closed once again.

Steven stares at the door, starting to get up then remembering what the woman said and sits back down. He wants to know where his friends are, and he doesn't want to be an experiment or guinea pig.

Steven plays with his hands and tries to summon his shield again but it fizzed out like when Spinel reset him. He looks worried that they did something to him and his friends like what Spinel did and he got scared. He starts to shake and tear up as he starts to panic. An alarm starts to go off in the room and Steven starts to panic more. Three of the men from before start to run in and aim guns at him. He pulls out his shield but it fizzed out again and he looks scared as he backs up into the wall.

"Stand down." The woman from the intercom speaks as she walks in, she looks to be in her 40's but she sounds 20. Steven is a shaking mess and is panicking a lot. The men lower their guns as she holds up a hand and walked up to Steven.

"I know you're scared, Mr. Universe. But you need to calm down. If you want to see your friends you'll need to cooperate completely. If you don't cooperate, you or your friends will face the consequences." The woman states, she is definitely British but not the way Americans think. She sounds almost American with her accent with a hint of Brit in her voice.Steven took deep breaths and nods, frightened"o-okay...why am I here? Where ARE my friends?" He asks in worry and calmer than before.

The woman smiles "you'll know soon enough. For now, let's get some rest, alright?" She pats his head and stands up, turning to the men with guns "2 3 Bravo. Get him to his bed and when he wakes give him a meal and let him see the Pearl, we're not monsters." She leaves the room and two of them put their guns away, Steven stands, they press a button, and a bed extends from the wall.

Steven sits down and the men leave, he doesn't want to sleep when everyone in beach city was looking for him. He worries what Connie is thinking when not answering her study break call, or when his dad is going to call after. He worries his friends and family will forget about him anyway. He sighs and curls up on his side.

"Sleep." A voice whispers and he falls asleep without trying.'I hope everyone's okay' Steven thinks as he drifts into sleep.
