(Y/n)'s P.O.V.

I know I complained about Steven sometimes but having someone around a lot who cares about you takes some getting use to. I know I also complained about eating vegetables but even though I never left the house, I was in better health than you'd expect nd I had Steven to thank for that. I still couldn't really take care of myself all too well. I may have not liked the idea of eating vegetables but in all actuality I wasn't a picky eater. I didn't really eat for taste but rather for nutritional value and so here I was eating a raw uncooked can of broccoli that Amethyst somehow opened for me by eating the cans lid without breaking all of her teeth since she had gem physics. The broccoli could have use a bit of salt or maybe even some black pepper or butter but they didn't taste all too bad even if they were plain and besides, I was too lazy to add to get up and get any condiments for it anyway.

Using a fork, I stabbed a broccoli and popped it into my mouth. Looking over at Amethyst, she looked like she was in her own world as she sat on my bad twirling her abnormal long white hair.

(Y/n): So, your what an Amethyst gem looks like.

I said as I chewed the broccoli that crunched in my mouth before opening a bottle of water and potato chips. I was going to eat an apple but I didn't have a knife at the moment to cut it into slices, my teeth were sensitive and biting into a whole apple would hurt.

Amethyst: Yup, take a good long look if you need to.

Amethyst said as she smiled with pride as she lower her shirt slightly to reveal a purple gem dug deep into her chest. Without realizing how awkward my actions might seem, I found myself going over towards her and poking her cheeks.

Amethyst: Uh....

She said as she narrowed her eyebrows.

(Y/n): Sorry....but this is my first time seeing someone with purple skin who isn't a fake character in a movie or something. I thought it wouldn't look right in real life but it actually suits you and you've got white hair too. Your not some old lady gem that just looks young are you?

Steven: Amethyst is actually pretty young.

(Y/n): Oh yeah right, she's young in gem years.

Steven: Speaking of age, how old are you (Y/n)?

I found myself seriously pondering a question that every other person in the entire world could just answer instantly without hesitation.

(Y/n): Um...well...I want to say 17 but I'm......I'm really not sure.

I said with hesitation.

Amethyst: You really don't know your age, it should be so easy for you to remember, human years are so much shorter than gems.

(Y/n): I'm forgetful ok, I'm not good with numbers. Besides, birthdays and birthdates aren't the most important things in the world....I think.

Steven: You've been in here way too long. You have to get out and see the city. So much has changed. You have to meet everyone, including the other gems, it'll be fun.

(Y/n): It's not that easy for me to just leave Steven. This is my comfort zone.

I said as I expanded my arms.

Steven: But you don't know how much your missing out. Did you even know that there was a 7th part to the "So Fast and Too Curious" movie?

(Y/n): Are you serious?! Where was I when parts 2,3,4,5 and 6 came out?

I said in shock.

Amethyst: See? There's so much to show you and whether you like it or not, we're going to take you out to have some fun.

Amethyst said with a smile. I sighed loudly before going back to sit in front of my TV while pulling a blanket over my head.

Steven: Come on (Y/n).

Steven said as he went over to the window to open the blinds. Sunlight poured in, making me hiss in displeasure.

Amethyst: I got this Steven.

Amethyst said before she lit up in front of my eyes. She had changed so unexpectedly into something that was still her but different. She appeared to be a giant purple wrestler with a really hairy chest. I was familiar with gems being able to shapeshift since I've seen Steven do it before and also played characters in videogames who could shapeshift as well but it was just more impressive to see Amethyst.  I was paralyzed with amazement when Amethyst picked me up with ease and began hauling me out of the house against my will. Steven followed us excitedly from behind. I could feel the sun seeping into my skin's pours once we managed to get outside. The light blinded me for a mere second but I was desperately hanging onto my house's door knob.

(Y/n): No.....let me back in.....

I said in between grunts but Amethyst kept on nudging me. She was way stronger than me in this new form she had taken and before I knew it, she had managed to pry me off of the door and I fell to the ground with a thud.

(Y/n): Ow.....

I said in pain as I started to get up.

Steven: We're good guy kidnapping you.

I heard Steven say. I eventually gave up the struggle. It was two people against a scrawny little me.

Amethyst: See, that wasn't so bad.

Amethyst said before she bumped me slightly with her hip. I sighed once more before taking in a giant breath of fresh air.

(Y/n): Alright, I admit I miss that fresh ocean smell Beach City has, I have to start going to the beach now.

I said in satisfaction before letting out all of the air I took in.

Steven: Everyone will be surprised to see you, especially Vidalia.

(Y/n): Maybe, I should get her to cut my hair, it's getting pretty long. I feel like a hippy or a biker who wears way too much leather.

I said as I held a piece of my hair in between my fingers before Amethyst interjected.

Amethyst: No don't cut it. It'll look nice if you grow it out.

She said.

(Y/n): Well.....

I began to say as I pondered her idea.

(Y/n): Ok, then. I've been having a short hair style for too long anyway, it's time for a change.

Amethyst seemed to like my response and smiled up at me.

(Y/n): By the way Amethyst, I'm guessing you shapeshifted into Purple Puma?

Amethyst: Did Steven tell you about my old wrestling career?

(Y/n): Yup, I was a big fan of yours.

Amethyst: Wow, really?

(Y/n): Yeah, I may not have attended any of your matches but I never let that get in the way. Even though you quit, I know your still a really good fighter and so is Steven.

Steven: Aw shucks.

Amethyst: Thanks, maybe I can show you some moves later.

(Y/n): Just be careful, my body is like a spaghetti noodle.

I said as Steven and Amethyst laughed.
