Chapter 14 ( Kevin time)

(Y/n)'s P.O.V.

I looked up at Kevin from the water who had walked over after getting out of his car. I did not attempt to hide the fact that I was displeased by his presence before climbing up out of the water. I never once judged Sour Cream's friends, most of the time, he knew how to pick some pretty cool people to hang out with such as Jenny or Buck Dewey but why Kevin of all people? Sour Cream had always been friendly and I guess Kevin wasn't his " friend" per say, he was just a guy Sour Cream knew online and Sour Cream would invite him to raves on the occasion. When Sour Cream and I used to be on online chatrooms, Kevin would sometimes join in and I would talk to him out of politeness. To put it frankly, Kevin was a jerk online and in real life. We didn't talk much but when he would come over to Beach City before I went into solitude we wouldn't get along. Kevin often said I looked like a hippy and he would seem like he was better than I was but I never wanted to act negatively towards him for Sour Cream's sake so I just endured his torment. As far as Sour Cream knows, he believes that Kevin and I are cool with one another which is far from the truth.

(Y/n): Didn't expect to see you here.

Kevin: No one ever expects Kevin to be here and when I show up, people can't seem to look away. I actually didn't notice it was you, after all that car of yours is pretty fancy but it's still nothing compared to Kevin's car.

Kevin said as he flicked his hair. He's so narcissistic that it's cringe worthy and did he always have to refer to himself in the third person at times.

Kevin: I feel like Sour Cream is losing his partying touch. All these old people are cramping Kevin's style.

(Y/n): Well, you know, you could always just leave.

I said suggestively right before my phone began to ring. I noticed that it was right in front of Kevin's feet and he picked it up. I managed to get a glimpse of who was calling me and the name on the screen flashed Mom as Kevin laughed.

Kevin: You better get this (Y/n), your mommy is calling.

He said before throwing my phone towards me as I fiddled to catch it before it fell into the water.

Kevin: I don't know what anyone sees in you, your still the most pathetic person I know.

I had decided not to answer he phone while I was feeling a bit angry. I wouldn't be myself and would only worry my Mom. I tried not to show that Kevin was testing my patience. I felt y hands ball up in a tight fist before Steven an Connie walked over, unaware of the situation.

Steven: Kevin.

Steven said under his breath as much of a sour tone as I had said it in.

Kevin: It's you two again? How obsessed with me are you? I can't go anywhere without you two following. I'm sorry if you can't get enough of Kevin but your still just kids even if you can turn into a sexy woman or not.

(Y/n): What?

I said with a confused expression before looking towards Steven who had a blush and a sheepish grin. I'd doubt Steven and Connie were following him as a fusion, it was all in Kevin's head. I've never actually seen him fuse before but Steven showed me a selfie that Stevonnie took of herself and sure enough, she was a fusion of Connie and Steven alright. She basically looked like Steven and Connie's kid but I kept that to myself.

Kevin on the other hand had found interest elsewhere and looked like he was going to flirt with Peridot and Lapis before saying "Kevin time". Upon realizing they were gems he was weirded out. Both Lapis and Peridot showed confusion and disgust towards Kevin. Lapis said "ew" before flying off with Peridot.

Kevin: What's with all the weird chicks in this city?

Kevin said as he watched Lapis break out her water wings and fly off. He was obviously freaked out before Amethyst came out of the water. She seemed rather annoyed that Kevin was bothering me and had also ruined our time together.

Amethyst: If you don't mind, we were in the middle of something.

She said with her eyes narrowed. I saw that Amethyst had shape shifted bigger than she was before in order to intimidate Kevin and it was working.

Kevin: Woah, back off freakish purple skinned girl. Kevin is out. Your too freaky for me.

Kevin said before leaving in a hurry before Amethyst changed back to her normal size.

Connie: What is with that guy?

Connie said angrily as she crossed her arms.

Steven: I know, I don't like him at all.

Amethyst: I don't like him either.

Amethyst said lastly. I don't think anyone really likes Kevin, he walks around like he's a king among everyone else or an angel among garbage people like he says. If anything, I didn't want to ruin the party so I was thankful that Steven, Connie and Amethyst came along when they did before I did something violent. I then sighed in disappointment.

(Y/n): Great, now he ruined everything.

I said as I began putting on my shoes. They weren't even touched and yet sand still managed to get in them.....as well as in my underwear.

Amethyst: No he didn't, I'd never let him do that. I'm just glad he's gone, I would have dunked him into the sea otherwise.

Amethyst said as she shape shifted into a towel and wrapped herself around me. In an instant, all my anger and bothered atmosphere disappeared. I felt so warm and fuzzy inside. Amethyst was so comforting and she was basically giving me a hug with her entire body and it just made me even more embarrassed when her face on her towel body was still so close to mine. I gripped the ends of towel Amethyst firmly but gently and held her close to my body while she dried my hair. I rubbed my nose against the plush Amethyst towel and sniffed deeply. A dark red blush rose to my cheeks. I've been feeling like this more often lately and I couldn't explain why. I wanted my parents to call back, specifically my Dad because I wanted to talk to him about these....feelings. When I was around Amethyst I was always sweating, I'd feel hot and my heart would be so hard and fast that it was painful. I didn't know if Amethyst was experiencing the same thing because she always seemed fine and probably wouldn't show it anyway.

As i thought to myself I didn't know what he did to make Steven and Connie feel like they needed to leave us alone but they had went a few feet ahead of us in the shallows of the ocean and began laughing while they splashed each other in the moonlight.
