-Third Person POV-

Lapis had taught Jasper what it was like to feel, but Jasper taught Lapis what it was like to be used for power.

Lapis thinks about Jasper on a daily basis; not wanting to see her, but not wanting to be away from her.
Jasper thinks about Lapis, and how she's the only reason why Jasper is now capable of feeling love and attraction.

They want each other, but the last time they had each other, they were toxic. How will they work this out, if at all?

-Lapis's POV-

I miss Jasper, but she used me. Just like everyone else, she used me for personal gain. Still, I can't get her out of my head...

"Hey, Lapis!" I hear Steven say. I look at him and say, "Oh, hey Steven. How are things with the Diamonds?" he shrugs and says, "White Diamond is busy apologizing to everyone, especially Pink Pearl, and Blue and Yellow are rebuilding Homeworld with the help of some Bismuths and Quartz soldiers." he tells me.
"And you? Aren't you still technically Pink Diamond?" I ask him. He nods and says, "Yeah, and on more than one occasion, Pink Pearl has offered to come live on Earth with us."

I smile at him, and at the situation. I'm happy that almost everything is better now.

Almost...

-Jasper's POV-

I was uncorrupted, which I was greatful for, but now, what do I have? I don't have power, a purpose, or Lapis. Homeworld changed - for the better, but still - and I don't know what to do anymore.
I've been living in an empty building just outside of Beach City, because I couldn't stay away from Lapis. I miss her...

I was all alone. It wasn't hard to tell I was corrupted, and anyone who sees me knows how bad of a person I'd been. I had no where to go, no one to talk to, and no one there for me. I was alone.

-Lapis's POV-

Something kept nagging at me as I lay in the barn roof: what if... What if Jasper feels as alone as I did for all those years?
Wait, why am I thinking about that?! The last time we saw each other, it was bad! We weren't healthy with each other...

But now... Now I feel differently about her, and there's only one way to find out how she feels about me. But that would mean I'd have to find her...
"Lapis? Are you okay?" Steven asks me. He had jumped up here, apparently. I sigh and say, "Steven, what if she feels like I did all those years? Alone, scared, with no one to talk to?"

He smiles sympathetically and says, "I can try to find her for you. I can make dream-links with people, remember?" I smile and say, "Would you, really?" He nods and lies down.

He closes his eyes, and it doesn't take long until he's asleep.

-Jasper's POV-

As I was sitting alone in the shack-like building, I hear a voice from behind me. "Jasper...?" I recognize the voice as Ro- Steven. His name is Steven, Jasper.
I turn around to see him in a disembodied form, much like he'd been when I was Malachite with Lapis.

"Steven? Why are you here? How did you find me?" I ask him. "I... I'm actually asleep right now, and I just used my magic to track down your gem. Anyway, Lapis wants to know where you are." he tells me.
I don't believe him at first, and apparently this is evident on my face, because he says, "I-i'm serious! She's worried about you, Jasper..."

I suppose it couldn't hurt to take his word... "Alright. Tell her to look for an abandoned fish shack outside of Beach City. That's where I am." he smiles and disappears afterwards.

-Lapis's POV-

Steven wakes up smiling, so I turn to him, waiting for him to tell me what he saw. "Jasper says to look for a fish shack outside of Beach City, and you'll find her there." he tells me.
I was so happy, I could have cried. "Thanks, Steven. Tell the gems just in case she comes back with me." I tell him. He nods and I fly away to find Jasper.

After about a half an hour of flying, I finally find a place that fits Steven's description. I fly down and put my wings away. I walk inside the old building, getting slightly creeped out by it.

"Lapis? Is that really you?" I hear Jasper say. I turn around to find her sitting in a corner, hugging her knees. "Jasper!!" I say as I run over to her. I kneel down in front of her and she looks at me. "You... You came..." she says in disbelief.

"Of course I came; how could I not?!" I say. She drops her arms and sighs. "Because I was awful to not only you, but everyone. I... I thought you hated me..." she tells me.
"I did, but not for long. All this time, I've been wanting to see you again. I know what we had was toxic, but..." I start.

-Jasper's POV-

"But it could be different this time!" I say, surprisingly desperately. I thought she would disagree with me like she did last time, but she only nodded. "Yeah, I think it could be." she says while holding out her hand.

"Fuse with me?" she asks gently, implying she had no intention of trapping us. I take her hand and dance with her, a lot more love to it this time than the last.

We fused, but Malachite looked... Different. We actually had feet, and we only had four arms. She also wore a beautiful gown with leggings underneath.

"W-woah..." we say in unison. Even our voice wasn't as separated as it was before; it was our voice. It sounded... Human-like.

We fly back to Steven's house, and we find the gems sitting outside.

-Steven's POV-

I convinced the gems to wait outside with me. none of us were expecting what we saw; it was a gem. She looked like Malachite, except she had feet...
When she landed, she said, "Hey..." She even had her own voice...

But, it had to be Lapis and Jasper; it had her nose gem and everything.
"M-malachite...? Is that you...?" Pearl says. Malachite nods sadly. "Uh... Well. You look..." Pearl starts.
"Beautiful." Garnet finishes. Malachite blushes at Garnet's statement and turns to Amethyst. She unfused back into Lapis and Jasper, and Jasper walks up to her.

"Amethyst... I'm so sorry for everything I did..." she says while keeping her head down. Lapis walks up behind Jasper and puts her hand in Jasper's back. Amethyst replies with, "Hey, chill; it's fine. Who do you think bubbled you when you got corrupted?"
Jasper smiles and hugs Amethyst. Amethyst hugs back, crying a little. After a little while, Jasper stands up and holds her hand out to Lapis. "Will you be willing to forgive me and be my partner?" she asks. Lapis smiles and nods, taking Jasper's hand

Jasper became a Crystal Gem, Lapis had a girlfriend, Malachite was now a stable fusion, and everything was perfect.
