Few days later...

"How's Calvin?" Connie asks. "Calvin is doing just fine" Steven answers "he's just resting". "Well, as soon as Calvin is rested" Garnet says "I'll be teaching him something important". "What's that?" Connie asks. "Fusion" Garnet answers as she adjusts her sunglasses. "Your gonna teach Calvin fusion?" Steven asks excitedly. "Yes" Garnet says "it'll also be a great opportunity for Calvin to meet Ruby and Sapphire". "OMG, I can't wait!" Connie said excitedly.

Later that night...

"Now Calvin" Garnet says "fusion, is when two or more gems combine their minds and their physical forms to create another gem, the better the relationship they have with each other, the longer they maintain their fusion". "Like when Pearl and Amethyst formed Opal?" Calvin asks. "Yes, or..." Garnet says as she unfused. "Like me and Sapphire form Garnet" Ruby says. "Whoa!" Calvin says as he crouches down "I didn't know Garnet was a fusion!". "Yes" said Sapphire "as expected, you'd be surprised". "How were you guys able to maintain a fusion for so long?" Calvin asks Sapphire. "The one thing that binds me and Ruby together for so long is..." Saphire says when she and Ruby fuse again. "Is love" Garnet answers, formed once again. Calvin's eyes suddenly go wide. He slowly turns his head towards Peridot. "Why's he looking at me like that" Peridot asks Amethyst. "I don't know" Amethyst says "maybe... He wants to...eat a sandwich with you?" Amethyst says before biting into a sandwich. "No that's not it" Peridot says before she sits down on a bench. Peridot looks up at the stars, looking for constellations. After a while Calvin goes and sits next to Peridot, looking up at the stars as well. "The stars sure look pretty today huh?" Calvin asks. "They sure do, considering that they are big balls of hot gas" Peridot says. After looking at the stars for a while Calvin slowly gets up. "Peridot?" Calvin says as he turns his head toward Peridot, extending his hand towards her as well. "Will you fuse with me?" Calvin asks.
