"Hey Peridot? Do you still have your recorder?" Calvin asks. "Mmhm" Peridot says as she nods your head up and down. "Can I see it?" Calvin asks. Peridot gives the recorder to Calvin. Calvin grabs a pair of earbuds from his pocket and plugs it into the tape recorder. "If you put these in your ears, you can listen to your logs, so you won't have to hear the thunder, OK?". Peridot nods her head again as Calvin gives her the earbuds. Peridot puts the earbuds in and listens to her log dates, getting more calmer than the second. After the rain stops, Calvin asks Peridot"Are you OK?". "Yes, thank you, for what you did there". Peridot says. Calvin laughs a little " it's called comforting, it's when you do something to make the upset person feel better". "Thank you for 'comforting' me then" Peridot says as she air quotes the word "comforting". "Well, I'm going to bed" Calvin says as he gets up and stretches "Good night Peridot" Calvin says as he waves goodbye. "Good...night?" Peridot says curiously, with a slight look of disappointment. "What's wrong with me?" Peridot asks herself "why do I feel...happy but lonely?". Peridot shakes her head, trying to figure out what's going on. "Oh well" she said "I'll put this in my log dates later". Peridot walks away.
