Steven and Lapis continue to laugh as the brush past a cloud. They gently glide across the sky above the clouds. Steven eyes shine in awe as he looks at the sky above him. "Wow..." Steven looks back at Lapis.

"Lapis, It's so beautiful up here!" Lapis shrugs. "Eh, it's alright. Lapis looks at Steven, smiling. "I guess I can see why you like it." Steven smiles back. Lapis gets her wings ready to fly faster. "Hold on!"

Lapis blasts off at a faster speed. Steven and Lapis brush past a another cloud as they pick up speed. Steven eyes shine with excitement, a big smile across his face.

Lapis does a loop as she
drop-catches Steven above the clouds. "WHOA!" "CHECK IT OUT!" They fly through the sky as Lapis holds on to Steven's hands. "WHOO-HOO!"

Steven and Lapis laugh as they fly towards the horizon of the shining moon ahead of them. Steven opens his eyes and look down ahead. "Hey! We made it out all over the ocean! I wonder how far out we are."

Lapis notices the Galaxy Warp nearby and stops laughing. The smile dissapears along with it as well. "Oh, cool! The Galaxy Warp!" Lapis blinks as dark memories flash in her eyes. She starts to lose her grip on Steven.

"Lapis, I'm slipping a little there bud..." Steven hands are slipping away from Lapis's grip, his face sweating. He chuckles nervously. "LAPIS, LAPIS, I'M SLIPPING! I'M GONNA-"

Lapis barely catches Steven before he falls. A tight grip holds on to his hands. "UH...sorry! I'm sorry." Lapis looks away towards the Galaxy Warp. Steven looks down at the Galaxy Warp as they land.

Once they safely reach the ground, Lapis lets go of Steven as her water wings retreat back into her gem. Lapis walks away, eyes closed, hands clenched into fists. She stops in front of the biggest warp pad.

"This is where I was abondoned." Lapis looks down in despair as she recalls terrible memories. Steven walks up to her. "What happened?" Suddenly, water rises and surrounds the Galaxy Warp around them.

The water creates walls and mirrors of liquid. It then splashes across the ground as Lapis walks towards the warp pad with the water following her to it. Steven follows Lapis after she reaches the top step.

Water is covering everything around them including the warp pad. Lapis puts her hands out as she turns the surface of the warp pad into a mirror. "Woah. It's like a mirror." Steven can see his and Lapis's reflection on the warp pad's surface.

Lapis's eyes become glass-like mirrors and images started to reflect on the warp pad's surface. "It was thousands of years ago..." A Lapis from the past stands in a beautiful green-filled savanna.

"I was only meant to visit for a short time." Suddenly, the image turns dark and it brings up the chaos and distruction of the rebellion."But I got caught in the middle of a war."

Lapis looks around as explosions erupted near her. She covers her ears. "It was awful." A bismuth drops down in front of Lapis. "I tried to run but..." Bismuth punches Lapis's gem on her back, poofing her.

Lapis's gem is picked up by a Homeworld soldier who places it on the back of a mirror. "I was picked up by a Homeworld soldier and confused for a Crystal Gem and used as a tool." The mirror reflects silhouettes of Homeworld gems, facing the mirror.

"They asked me, "'Show us your base!'", "'Where is your leader?'" I didn't know. I couldn't say I'm not one of them. It soon became clear that there was no hope for stopping the rebellion. All of the Homeworld gems fled."

Warp pads start going off everywhere. Homeworld gems are running away from the invasion. "And all the panic of escaping Earth." The mirror is dropped as it falls to the ground, backside facing up.

Lapis's gem cracks as it gets run over by the stampede of retreating gems. "I was left behind." Flying saucers fly away as a bright flash of white, yellow, and blue appears in the sky. After the flash fades, the mirror lies dormant, alone on the Galaxy Warp.

"And there I stayed. Freedom in my sight, but out of reach for ages." A younger Pearl walks up and looks around. She looks down at the mirror and picks it up. "Until I was found."

The image turns dark as the Lapis in the present lets out a grunt of exhaustion as she drops her arms. The water subsides as Lapis lands on the floor.
