Later that night, everyone was sleeping. Steven is sleeping outside next to the barn in a catapillar sleeping bag. Only his face is visible, peaceful with relief from what happened the previous day.

Suddenly, quiet noises come out from inside the barn. Steven opens his eyes and grunts as he sits up. Steven gets out of his sleeping bag and walks over to the barn doors. He opens the right one to see Lapis standing inside.

Lapis's water wings pop out, getting ready to take off through the busted, giant hole inside. Steven smiles with the relief of Lapis's recovery. "Lapis, you're okay!" Lapis gasps and quckly turns behind her.

"Steven!" Steven frowns, realizing what Lapis was going to do. "You're...leaving." "I have to, Steven. I don't belong on Earth." She looks down. "Not with the Crystal Gems." Lapis looks away and faces outside.

"I never have." Steven makes a sad smile. "It's okay. I understand." Lapis faces Steven, surprised by his response. "I just wish we could've hung out more." Steven looks up towards Lapis.

"I feel like I only get to see you when something horrible's going on." Lapis smiles, relieved that Steven understands her. "That's just how it is with me." She walks through the giant hole and stops outside.

"Steven...thank you." She looks back him one last time. "Goodbye, again." Steven stares at Lapis, tear-eyed. "Bye." Lapis looks away from Steven she grunts as she takes off into the sky.
