3rd Person P.O.V.

Today is the day Huge Gigantacus will attack Homeworld, except Rose never said when. All she knew that he was coming today. All Crystal Gems were notified to be present on Homeworld today, all except for Steven and Phoebe.

Steven doesn't need to know about this. It may be wrong, but keeping Steven in the dark about this would keep him calm and sane. Today will not be the last battle they'll see of Huge Gigantacus. 

Rose said Huge Gigantacus won't go down easy. She may be the universe's trickster and has made a fool of him multiple times, but she has to put effort when fighting him. That should say plenty about him.

Yellow was craving a fight, she always wanted to pound something with her hands. Rose said everyone would have a chance of crushing their opponents without killing anybody, because Huge Gigantacus doesn't have henchmen, with the exception of his servant Iron Boarder, he has robots doing his work. Iron Boarder is a different kind of issue.

He may occasionally hate his job, but it pays very well, and he works to the amount Huge Gigantacus pays him. His monthly salary is over 50,000 and Huge Gigantacus doesn't use taxes. As a bonus, it came with a 401k plan, which is more than what most employers offer in this galaxy. 

Iron Boarder isn't too threatening, though. All we does is float on a iron board, which can fly. He is mainly a support character for Huge Gigantacus, or a side kick. 

"Everyone, please, pay attention to me." Rose politely gathered everyone to listen to her.  "Okay... I'm sorry for the sudden situation we are faced with. I know one day of preparation isn't enough for you, but I dearly hope you all are ready for this. Huge Gigantacus most definitely has countermeasures for each and every one of you."

"Are you okay, Rose?" Howard asked.

"Yeah, your legs or vines are shaking." Spinel pointed out.

Rose used her cape to hide her legs/vines. "I'm fine. Just nervous."

"What about?" Yellow Diamond asked.

"Huge Gigantacus is stronger than ever, way powerful than my last confrontation with him. He has the entire Galaxy at his fingertips. There's nowhere in this Galaxy we could go without him knowing. I feel a little claustrophobic." Rose explains, sounding nervous - obviously.

"How did Huge Gigantacus take our colonies without us knowing?" White Diamond inquired, feeling suspicious that he managed to take their colonies from there without them knowing. 

"Well, during Era-1, believe it or not, HG was scared of the Diamond Authority." Rose answered.

"He was?" Blue said, tilting her head in comfusion. "How come he is brave enough to attack us now?"

"Because when Era-2 started, and when Homeworld and the Crystal Gems were playing cops and robbers, HG took this as a opportunity to strike, except I stopped him. Then, when I was on Earth with Steven, going back in time, and when Lord Dominator destroyed my castle in space, I was set back by a lot. As well as since Homeworld was suffering during Charlotte's attack, and then when Homeworld was trying to recover, HG took the moment to strike. He's been waiting years for this." Rose explains in one breath. "I'm sorry for letting him do this."

"You don't need to apologize, Rose. We'll stop him, right?" Pearl asked, she was a bit weirded out that she called her Rose, especially after what they've been through five years ago.

"Hopefully." Rose said softly.

Everyone heard a thud.

"He's here." Rose gasped, almost a hint of fear in her voice.

Everyone got their weapons ready. They raced outside, and due to the lack of guards because of budget cuts and lack of resources, only a few ran up to Yellow Diamond.

"My Diamond, we're being attacked! What do you want us to do?!" A panicked guard asked.

"Announce for everyone to be in the fallout shelters. This is going to be messy. Now, go, go, go!" Yellow Diamond demands.

They raced to the announcement tower.

"Robots incoming!" Rose shouts.

Everyone dodged the incoming metal pillars landing on the ground and instantly releasing robots of all kinds. Rose attacked first, firing magic thistles from her wand to destroy the basic robots that just attack with only their metal hands.

Yellow fought them barehanded, not caring that it somewhat hurt her hands. Blue and White Diamond remain inside the Palace, due to them not capable of fighting, Yellow still hadn't taught them to fight yet. If they live through this, Yellow will teach them both how to fight. 

Pink doesn't know how to fight, but has the courage to do so, and super strength. The Crystal Gems are used to fighting mindless robots since Lord Dominator, but something was different. These robots are smart and in variation.

Aside from the ones with fists who just punch things, there's ones armed with weapons, either melee or ranged weapons. Laser guns, axes, maces, scythes, and double-bladed swords. These weapon choices seemed bizarre for them, but not for Rose.

She knows that he deliberately chose those weapons because she hates those weapon types. Everyone fought out the first round of robots. 

"Well, that was easy." Amethyst said.

Rose shook her head. "No. That was just sample of what HG has. Three billion units and more producing by the second. He can-- Wait... what is that sound?"

No one else could hear the noise she hears. Rose's literally turned pale white when she saw the next round of robots approaching.

"RUN!" 

Rose's color returned and she retreats for cover. Everyone else saw the robots, and knew exactly why Rose hid. These robots are war machine mechs. 

There's over a dozen of these heavy-armor units coming towards them. The robots started firing plasma orbs at them, which actually hurts them.

"How do we counter these things, Rose?" Garnet asked.

"There's no weakness to these things. You just have to destroy them." Rose quivers.

"Just like that?" Garnet replied.

"Yes!" Rose teleported away and reappeared on top of Moonlight's head. "These things were designed to kill me! Destroy them quickly, please!"

Rose begs. Moonlight pushed Rose off of her. 

"I'll get them. Come on, Pink." Moonlight said.

Pink activated her super pink aura mode and Moonlight activated her super strength power. Both of them charged head-on to the mechs and destroyed them, however, they fired missiles, intending to hit Pink and Moonlight, but when Moonlight or Pink hit them, they fired at a different target. 

The missiles hit the tower buildings and skyscrapers, causing the buildings to collapse.  

"I hope nobody was in there!" Rose said.

"Hopefully there isn't if the announcement reached all of Homeworld." Yellow Diamond replied.

They saw more robots approaching, these were just the normal ones. But these ones were the normal ones. The only thing different about them is they're more resourceful, and smarter. 

When Yellow tried attacking them, some of them dodged her attacks and countered her moves.

Yellow was annoyed. "How these things are outsmarting my moves?"

Rose decimated the robots surrounding Yellow. "When the first round of robots showed up, they were analyzing our tactics and how we've fought them, sending the information to HG and he implemented the information into the next robots. It'll make them more difficult as we continued to fight them. We need to cause them to retreat, otherwise we'll lose eventually."

"And how we would cause them to leave?" Yellow Diamond asked.

"We need to make HG leave. He's here." Rose gasped.

"Where?" Amethyst looked around.

"That, I don't know. But he's watching us." Rose dodged a missile that was aimed for her by merely an inch.

It explodes behind her, almost hitting the back of her head with debris. Lapis used her water ability to make a giant water version of herself to overwhelm the robots, washing them away.

Everyone was thankful for her help, the robots were overwhelming this time. However, more were coming, and before Lapis could combat them with her giant water self, a ray beam hits her, and the water giant turned to ice, trapping Lapis inside of it.

"Lapis!" Peridot cried.

Some of them went over to the giant ice statue and started trying to chip Lapis free, which would take a long time due to the giant size of it, and the fact Lapis is over 30 feet in the air, too. Rose knew where that beam came from, and who did it. 

Huge Gigantacus is the only one who could do that. This means Rose knows where he is, and can fight him. However, Rose is tempted to help free Lapis. 

She could easily help free Lapis by turning herself into Fire Rose, but she immediately realized that was a bad idea. Huge Gigantacus would just refreeze Lapis again, and freeze her as Fire Rose which would get her killed. Rose went flying towards where she saw the ice beam come from. 

It was on top of Homeworld's tallest building. When Rose reached the top, she was almost hit by the ice ray.

"Hello."

She looked to see Huge Gigantacus there, in his floating chair, expecting her.

"Hello, HG." Rose greets. "It's been over a year since we last met. How have you been?"

She is trying to spark small talk, hopefully she could catch him off guard.

"I've been busy." Huge Gigantacus replied calmly.

"I can tell. You've conquered almost the entire Galaxy. One planet at a time." Rose acknowledged.

"I thought you were dead when you weren't coming to foil me." He continued.

Rose smiled. "Aw, you've been thinking of me."

"Not like that!" He spats.

"How many times have we been at this, Huge Gigantacus? We both know how it always ends. This time isn't any different, it's always the same. You, me, and a new plan."

"It's different this time. You've failed to stop me from taking over the planets, now I've reached my peak." He replied with annoyance.

"Really? Thought you would've been four feet tall than still being two feet." Rose joked.

Huge Gigantacus growled.  "Not physically."

Rose quickly went to fire magic thistles at him, hopefully he was too infuriated to notice. He quickly activated his bubble sheild to block her thistles.

"Ah ha! Thought you were going catch me off guard, did you? I'm not going fall for that again!" Huge Gigantacus shouts with pride.

"Well, you did fall for it three times in a row." She smirked.

He turned the bubble sheild off and fired his ice ray at her. She swiftly dodged it, which was impressive to anyone, considering she floats 24/7 and her legs/vines are practically numb. She quickly sprayed her sweet scent at him, in hopes of it hitting him and seducing him into surrendering.

However, he pressed a button, and a metal fan appeared, blowing her scent back at her and hitting her. Her own scent doesn't do anything to her, other than make her smell good. Rose laughed off her own scent, because she found it humorous that he tried using her own spells against her, but when she heard him pressing buttons in a specific order, she got serious.

He's activating the Terror-Former 10,000. Rose only had a few seconds to react, so she used Arcane Enigma, which transforms Rose into a pink version of herself, where she is invincible to anything for a short period of time. She only uses this to block any strong or dangerous attacks.

The chair shoots out a purple ball and it lands near Rose, whose still in Arcane Enigma. It explodes, full of polluting garbage and toxin. Rose moved away from it before she transformed back to normal. 

When she changed to normal, she made the junk and pollution disappear, because if she breathes that stuff, she would literally choke to death. Huge Gigantacus uses the Terror-Former 10,000 to decimate armies or weaken them, making them helpless against him and his army. It's how he conquered planets.

Huge Gigantacus went to fire the ice ray again, but Rose quickly casts a spell at him, turning him into a goat.

"BAH!!!" The goat cried as it was enraged.

"Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha! Ho, ho, ho!" Rose laughed as she wiped a tear from her eye.

However, her laughter only angered the goat more. The goat rammed her and it tackled her. 

The goat toppled her, his hooves pinning her vines to the ground, because she isn't very strong, as Spinel pointed out that Rose can't lift anything more than two pounds. Rose's wand dropped, and is laying away from her. The goat transformed back into Huge Gigantacus. 

He is laying on top of her. He blushed when he realized that anyone and even her could misidentify this as him spooning her. 

"Well, this is nice." Rose sheepishly smiled.

Once both of them saw Rose's wand laying across from them, they both scrambled to get it. Rose needs her wand to fly and to stay safe, and Huge Gigantacus needs it to defeat Rose.

No, he doesn't want to use it as a weapon, because he doesn't know how to use it. He wants to break it, because once it breaks, Rose dies forever, nothing could bring her back. Since both of them have never touch the ground for thousands of years, they can't feel their legs.

Both of them crawled with their hands. Rose pushed Huge Gigantacus over and crawled to her wand, but felt his hand grabbing her vines/legs. She felt violated, nobody touches her there.

"Stop that!" If she had feet, she would kick him.

He pulled her back and tried crawling to her wand. She crawled with adrenaline, and they both grabbed the wand. 

"Let go!" He shouts as he pulled on the wand.

They both pulled on the wand, and Huge Gigantacus was going to win the tug of war, but an ice ball hits his face.

"OW! Damn it!" He covered his face, his nose is bloody. 

"That was for freezing me!" Lapis remarked as she held more ice balls that she got when the others chipped her out of the statue.

She threw more at him, hurting him. He grabs a button from his pocket and pressed it.

It was a recoil for him to teleport back to his chair. He hit the button to reappear his bubble sheild to protect him from the ice balls. He wiped his bloody nose. 

"Drop those barriers and fight!" Lapis said, eager to pelt him with more ice balls. 

"I'll drop them in a second." He pulled a tooth out of his mouth.

He angrily dropped the barriers and pressed the button to activate the turret gun. Unlike his robots, this gun shoots bullets.

Lapis flew up high to make it harder for him to hit her. Since he was focused on trying to shoot Lapis, Rose waved her wand, charging it up for a powerful attack. With a simple swing, Rose unleashed a devastating attack.

Huge Gigantacus was distracted with Lapis, he did not see it and have time to react before it hit him. 

"OW!" Huge Gigantacus' helmet fell off his head.

Rose was glad she finally achieved a critical hit, but when she saw the damage she did, she felt bad. Since Huge Gigantacus is small, like very small (Amethyst is taller than him, which says a lot), his body could not withstand such brutal attacks like anyone could, which results in his chest being exposed, revealing his ribs and his heart.

Huge Gigantacus clutched his chest/belly, and started retreating back to his ship. Lapis tried getting him while he was fleeing, but he used his bubble sheild to protect himself. The ship leaves, and any robot that was left behind was still fighting the others down there, but without their leader to feed them more information, they were quick to fail. 

Lapis was satisfied with what she did today.

"Great job with the ice balls, you really saved my life." Rose compliments Lapis.

"Thanks. Hey, look." She picked up his helmet. She tried it on. "Well, this doesn't look too great on me."

She offered it to Rose. Rose took it and equipped it on her head. 

"You certainly look better with it on your head than me." Lapis said.

Rose took it off. "He's not going to like that he left his helmet behind."

"Why? Is it like a weapon or something?" Lapis asked.

"No, but he doesn't like his things taken from him." Rose answered.

Rose and Lapis returned to the others.

Yellow saw them both approaching her and the others. "The robots stopped coming. I take it you kill him since you have his helmet as a trophy kill?"

Rose shook her head. "No, I only injured him. He dropped this." 

She showed them his helmet.

"Well, after what we just experienced, I feel like we have the impression of what he's like." Yellow expressed.

"And there's more to come. I know him well" Rose commented.

"It's going to be a while when he comes back, on account of me penetrating his skin and reveal his organs." Rose added on.

"Shouldn't he be dead? I don't think organics could survive something like that." Yellow Diamond rubbed her helmet.

"He's been through worse and survived. He should be fine, I think." Rose dismissed the possibility of permanently damaging him or killing him with her powerful attacks. 

"I have a question, Rose." White Diamond said, she and Blue came out after the attack stopped.

"Yes, White?"

"If you managed to open his chest and expose his organs, why didn't you finish the job?" White Diamond inquired.

"Finish the job?" Rose reiterates.

"She means why didn't you kill him." Blue clarified. 

"I knew what she meant, I was just surprised." Rose negative retorts for some reason.

"So, why don't you kill him? If he's a bigger threat than Lord Dominator, then he should be put down." White Diamond questioned further.

"I... I don't ever want to do that." Rose utters.

"Why? He's dangerous, and from the looks of it, nothing we've ever seen before. If what we just saw today was a preview of what more he has, then we should kill him now to prevent him from getting stronger." White elaborates.

"I just refuse to spill blood." Rose turned away from them. "No matter how many times he makes me angry, I won't give in and end him."

"Well, if you won't do it, then I will." Yellow declared.

Rose smiled, no one could see it.

"Good luck..." She said under her breath, knowing full well that Yellow won't get far.

No one else in the universe could challenge Huge Gigantacus like she does. Sure, anyone can try to fight him, but they won't last very long, they have to be very smart, strong, nimble, or all of the above to even live.

Huge Gigantacus has fought many of the Galaxy's warriors, and he has made many countermeasures for specific ones, and his arsenal alone is enough to knock off any common grunts who dare stand up to him. Rose won't stop anyone from going after him, but she heavily advises that going after him is suicide, especially when they don't know him as we as she does. They've fought each other long enough to know each other as if they're old friends, except only one of them wishes for that to be a reality. 

Rose wishes to make peace with him, and to be his friend. They both could hit it off, but his hatred and goals counteracts what she has in mind. She knows deep down the possibility of reforming him is low, but also not impossible.

She still holds onto the belief if she tries hard enough, she could get through with him, like how Steven got through with the Diamonds.
