As the chapter name explains, this is just wholesomeness, and a bit of a teaser of what's to come. I also want to explain a bit about Steven's sudden change of character and personality. In the first two stories, he was just someone who was just deeply unaffected by anything that happened to him, only for everything to change at the end of the second story.

He did relive one of his most worst decisions he tried to make, with the possibility of Phoebe dying, too. As well as it was recent of him just recovering from Moonlight, who didn't hurt him as bad as Charlotte. If you're wondering if Steven will be a main character, I don't know yet.

I think he should, but at the same time, he shouldn't. It IS called Steven Universe, and the show/series revolves around him and his story, but then again, there's AUs that don't follow him and his story, so yeah, I guess that's a pass. Why I think he shouldn't is because I try to improve of other characters having their time to shine, as well as Steven has been through enough.

One of my problems in writing the AU series wad that Steven pretty much handles everything, and other characters hardly had involvement, with them occasionally being important for development or certain obstacles. Rose was my prime example of this. She could have ended the Charlotte Arc very quickly, but I thought that would be lazy, and making Rose too OP.

Fun Fact: Rose was nerfed dozens of times in the games she's been in, that says a lot about her, doesn't it?

Beach House:

Blue and White Diamond waited patiently outside after they knocked on the door. The door opened, and it's Phoebe.

"Good, thank you both for not warping in the house." Phoebe greets.

"We're here to see Steven. It's been almost a year since we last saw him." White explains.

"Before I let you two in, I have to explain the 'ground rules' of what to do when you're around Steven. This are to ensure he doesn't break down in one of two ways. He'll either have a panic attack, or respond violently." Phoebe took a moment to breathe before continuing. "No roughhousing, no arguing, do not mention Charlotte, no talking about death, don't use your powers on him, whether for good intentions or not. Don't mention what happened last year, or anything he did before. No yelling. No weapons. And no talking about threats on Homeworld or Earth. Steven doesn't need to know anything about another gem having a grudge against you or someone else, it would stress him out."

"Don't worry, after last year's 'festivity', we've upgraded security to it's max, thanks to Bismuth providing us with the best weapons and armor she could construct for us." Blue assured.

"No one could invade our planet without us knowing, and our security provides a 85% chance of safety in case of an invasion of enemy presence, if that ever happens. Steven has nothing to worry about." White Diamond added on.

"Thanks you two. I need to go to the store and get a few things. Please take care of him while I'm gone." Phoebe lets them in the house.

Steven is on the couch with his legs crossed and his hands linked together.

"Hello Blue. Hello White." Steven said in a somewhat excited tone, but calmed as well.

"Steven, I missed you!" White said happily as she raced to the couch and hugged Steven.

Steven chuckled as she hugged him, nuzzling her head on his shoulder. Blue sat down next to White, not wanting to invade his personal space.

White eventually lets go. "How have you been, Steven?"

"I've been okay. I do daily exercises to maintain my body. For three days a week, I visit Connie's mother at the clinic for my therapy. And Rose comes by occasionally for tea." Steven explained.

"Phoebe has been there for me for the past year. She checks on me periodically. The other gems in the house do as well, but they're gone most of the day for Little Homeschool. I understand that, and it makes sense. We've built that community together, and they have to maintain it." Steven adjusted his position on the couch. "How has Homeworld been?" Steven asked.

Both of them tried to figure how they could explain the progression of Homeworld after Charlotte. They know they can't mention her name, but they could easily slip up.

"We've updated our tech." Blue said, knowing White would make the eventual slip up. "Upon the rebuilding of the Palace, we've updated our technology. We have new security implemented in most parts of Homeworld."

"Really? Like what?" Steven asked, curiously.

"We've erected antennas that all connect together and share the same information." Blue elaborated. "We have automatic doors that opens according to our touch and we've built an under layer of the Palace."

"Like a basement?" Steven inquired.

"Yes, like that. Only Diamonds and Crystal Gems are allowed down there, and of course, a few humans, most especially you." Blue booped Steven's nose.

White hopes Steven doesn't ask where the under layer came from. As they both know, Homeworld built their society on Charlotte's planet, whose race is about extinct.

As well as she hopes he doesn't remember either, because that would also be the mentioning/remembrance of Charlotte.

"I wish I could see it." Steven said, sounding a bit sad. "I've wanted to see how Homeworld has progressed, but I can't..."

Both Blue and White were unsure of Steven speaking about his restriction of Homeworld. They suppose if he speaks about something that could make him have a panic attack, he might be okay, but only if he speaks of it. Blue is inferring that, but White knows.

Phoebe did say that they aren't allowed to use their powers, but her mind reading power is a harmless power that nobody knows she's using. She can tell Steven is slightly trembling mentally when speaking of Homeworld. She saw Steven's hand shake.

He made a fist with his left hand and his right hand covered his left hand.

"S-Sorry, it's just a little thing I do when I'm sad." He apologized.

"You have nothing to apologize for, Steven." White caressed his fist with her hand. "Why don't we talk about something else? How about Rose?"

Steven liked that idea, his face beamed. "Sure."

"Does Rose do anything else other than drink tea with you?" Blue asked.

"She sometimes pray with me, recite verses from the Bible, and expels a scent from her hands." Steven answered.

"A scent? What kind of scent?" Blue asked yet again.

White knows what Steven is thinking of and since she can read his mind, she knows what he'll say next.

"She releases this scent from her petal hands and it smells really good. It's like your clouds, Blue." Steven explained.

"Do they make you feel happy?" Blue Diamond inquired.

Steven shrugged. "Not like that. It makes me feel whole, and it makes me feel different towards her."

"You mean Rose?" Blue Diamond questioned.

"Yes her. I look at her the way I look at Phoebe when she expels the scent."

"Steven means he views Rose very beautiful when he is under the influence of her scent." White Diamond explains.

"She is pretty, and I'm saying that while not under her influence. I can't judge her for being a plant."

"Right, because judging someone by their looks is wrong."  White replied.

"That is right." Steven nods. The door opens,

Phoebe is carrying bags.

"Hey, Phoebe." Steven gets up and and helped Phoebe carry the bags on the counters.

"White, we should get back to Homeworld. Yellow and Pink might worry about our disappearance." Blue Diamond commented.

White dreaded the time to go, she sighed, "you're right." She pats Steven's head, ruffling his hair. "Stay safe, star-child."

Steven lets out a smile when she said that. White and Blue step onto the Warp Pad in the house and warped back to Homeworld.

Rose's Castle:

In Little Homeworld, Rose consulted to her sphere. Her little sphere may seem like a insignificant object that are usually seen with fortune tellers, but those are fake. This sphere is genuine, she found it when she went exploring in space.

Rose usually uses her sphere to see into her future. Now, you must be asking, 'why isn't she consulting to Garnet for her future?' And this is her answer:

"Garnet's isn't as concise on my sphere. She has to factor a lot of things when making a prediction, and it occasionally fails. Like how she couldn't tell Pearl was deceiving her to fuse into Sardonyx. My sphere has a guaranteed set paths. My analogy to this is like manually solving a math equation versus solving the equation with a calculator. When manually solving a calculator, you're bound to make mistakes eventually, it's natural. That is Garnet, my sphere is a calculator to the future teller." Rose explained to you, completely aware of your presence.

She closed her eyes and touched the sphere with her hands, trying to see the current state of the universe. Aside of telling the future, Rose could use the sphere to see anywhere in the universe.

She checks the universe to make sure it's safe, balanced, and stable. At first, she felt something's wrong, she could feel it in her vines. As soon as she saw a projection, she gasped, opened her eyes, and rubbed them.

She looked at her sphere, it is showing the same projection she saw in her mind.
