So, why am I doing this? Well, because I have dozens of interrogation conversations I have in mind that may not make it to the final version of the story. This is also a review of Steven's mental health throughout the story, showcasing how several instances have affected him, since he doesn't think he can open up to his family or anyone at all, so he sometimes takes out his frustrations on enemies verbally.

It's one of the reasons why I liked reviewing Batman in Arkham Knight because of how monotone his voice was because of his depression, compared to Arkham City where he was playful and witty. And then Arkham Origins, where he didn't know how to interrogate properly, so he just acted menacingly to intimidate informants.

If you are not familiar to how interrogations work in this story or the context, Steven pins a gem down in one of four ways and then demands information about where the items are located by Squaridot, varying between trophies or little square boxes containing blackmail.

Here are the five interrogation methods Steven implements.

#1 Simple Chokehold: Steven grabs a gem by the neck and lifts them off the ground with one arm to interrogate, occasionally curling his bicep to make them lean closer to his face to intimidate them. Once Steven gets the information he needs, he breaks their form by punching their face hard enough, or by using his other hand to lift them further up high before slamming their face on the ground.

#2 Ground Pound: Steven pushes a gem to the ground, or approaches them while they're on the ground, and slams his foot on the side of their face before interrogating. Steven sometimes leans down, which increases the pressure on the victim's head, threatening to break their head. After he obtains the information he needed, he crushes their head with his knee to break their form

#3 Against The Wall: Steven pushes the gem against a wall and grips their collar with both of his hands. Steven will either punch the wall next to their head or lean close to their face to intimidate them. Once he finishes interrogating them, he breaks their form by headbutting them or punching their face hard enough.

#4 Over The Edge: Steven pushes a gem off a ledge and dangles them over a high drop by holding onto their ankle. Steven will pretend that his arm is tired by lowering them down and quickly readjusting himself, as if he can't hold onto the victim's ankle. When the interrogation is over, Steven will either let the gem fall and have their form hit the ground or slam their body against a nearby heavy object to destroy their form.

#5 The Transition: A rare interrogation method where Steven starts off doing a Simple Chokehold. However, if the victim is resistant and tries to hit Steven while he is holding them. Steven will catch their fist and flip them onto the ground, which will result in Steven implementing the Ground Pound method to make sure they submit to him before he gets needed information and subsequently breaks their form.

Any of these interrogations can happen during the dialogue phase, unless it's the transition, which will be specifically specified, because dialogue is dependent.

Now, here is the list of dialogues that occur during pivotal moments in the story that represents Steven's mood. There are also spoilers, by the way. So read cautiously.

Steven's first night on Homeworld:

#1:

Informant: What do you want?!

Steven: You're affiliated with the peridot everyone talks about. Tell me what you know.

Informant: Okay, okay! Just don't hurt me!

Steven breaks her form.

#2:

Informant: I-I don't wanna die!

Steven: Tell me about your association with a peridot, and I'll consider sparing you.

Informant: Okay, okay... please...

Steven broke her form.

#3:

Steven: You're working with a peridot, tell me everything!

Informant: I-I-I can't, y-you--

Steven glows pink.

Steven: NOW!

Informant: I was carrying it out in the Diamond District! I was only following ord--

Steven breaks her form.

#4:

Steven: I know you're affiliated with a peridot. Where's the data you've collected?

Informant: Y-You got nothing on me... Y-Y-You can't prove that.

Steven: I don't need to...

Steven glows pink.

Steven: NOW WHERE IS IT?!

Informant: Don't! Don't! I'll talk! I'LL TALK!

Steven broke her form.

#5:

Steven: You work with a peridot, so talk to me!

Informant: You wanna know about her?! I know lots about her!

Steven: It'll do.

Steven breaks her form.

#6 [Transition]:

Steven: Tell me what you know about the peridot you work with.

Informant: Screw you!

She tried to punch him while he was holding her with one arm, but he caught her fist with his free hand and flipped her on her back before pinning her down to the ground with his foot.

Steven: Let's try that again.

Informant: Okay, okay, I'll talk!

Steven broke her form.

#7 [Transition]:

Steven: Start talking!

Informant: Never to you!

She tried to punch him while he was holding her with one arm, but he caught her fist with his free hand and flipped her on her back before pinning her down to the ground with his foot.

Steven: Wrong answer.

Informant: I changed my mind!

Steven breaks her form.

During Valentine's Day, which is three months after his first night:

#1:

Steven: Do you realize how much left of you I can break? Tell me about Squaridot.

Informant: Sure, whatever you say.

Steven: Thank you.

Steven broke her form.

#2:

Steven: Please don't lie to me. I only just finished cleaning Squaridot's last informant's tears off my knuckles.

Informant: Oh, stars, no! I'll tell you everything.

Steven: That's what I wanted to her.

Steven breaks her form.

#3:

Steven: You and me, we're going to talk about Squaridot.

Informant: This is all I know!

Steven: If you're lying, I'll come back for you.

Steven broke her form.

#4:

Steven: I know you're lying.

Informant: I'm not! Please, don't hurt me, I'll talk!

Steven: Good night.

Steven breaks her form.

#5:

Steven: What do I need to break to make you tell the truth?

Informant: You don't need to do nothing! I'll talk!

Steven: I'm glad to hear it.

Steven broke her form.

#6:

Steven: Tell me what you about Squaridot, or get ready to eat my fist!

Informant: This is all I know, don't hurt me!

Steven: Of course not.

Steven breaks her form.

#7 [Transition]:

Steven: Squaridot, talk!

Informant: Never!

Steven: Please, make my night.

Informant: I'll talk!

Steven breaks her form.

#8 [Transition]:

Steven: Squaridot, what do you know?

Informant: I ain't answering to you!

Steven: Was that supposed to hit me?

Informant: I'll tell you everything!

Steven broke her form.

After Spinel's death:

#1:

Steven: TALK! Don't make me crack your gem and look for the answers inside...

Informant: THIS IS ALL I KNOW!

Steven: Thanks...

Steven breaks her form.

#2:

Steven: You can stay loyal to Squaridot, or you can stay alive...

Informant: I'll tell you what I know!

Steven: Much obliged...

Steven broke her form.

#3:

Steven: Tell me what you know about Squaridot, and don't think about lying, I'll know...

Informant: I'll tell you everything!!!

Steven: There was never a doubt in my mind...

Steven breaks her form.

#4:

Steven: Tell... me... the... information...

Information: Sure, whatever you say!

Steven: We're done...

Steven broke her form.

#5:

Steven: Squaridot, tell me what you know, or get ready to hurt...

Informant: I'll tell you what I know, but it ain't much!

Steven: It's enough...

Steven breaks her form.

#6:

Steven: Who scares you more...? Squaridot or me...?

Informant: I'll talk! I'll talk!

Steven: Thanks...

Steven broke her form.

$7:

Steven: I'm going to count to one, and then I get mad...

Informant: Please, I'll tell you everything, just don't hurt me.

Steven: You've been very helpful...

Steven breaks her form.

#8 [Transition]:

Steven: Squaridot, what do you know...?

Informant: I don't know nothin'!

Steven: Don't waste my time...

Informant: Okay, I'll talk, just don't hurt me!

#9 [Transition]:

Steven: Talk...
