Remember when I said something about a sequel possibly happening? Well, that is more apparent due to Rebecca Sugar's latest statement.

To paraphrase what I've heard, she said that "if we make enough noise" then a continuation of Steven Universe could happen.

Now she never said something about a sequel to Steven Universe, and that will determine if Arkham gets a sequel or not. Because if the continuation is a prequel, like taking place during the Gem War or Rose Quartz's time on Earth, then I probably won't make an Arkham sequel.

Even though Arkham's story is loosely based off of Canon Steven Universe's story, I still have to use it as reference. 

If the story is a prequel, then it's practically worthless for Arkham, due to the fact that it would suffer from Prequel-itis (meaning there's no stakes in it, or else it suffers continuity errors if it makes a drastic change). 

Arkham having a prequel doesn't seem fitting or necessary, especially with how limited characters I could use to be main characters.

Here's a small list of characters who would be the main character in a prequel for Arkham:

The Diamond Authority.
Moonlight.
Rose The Flower.
The Gnome King.
Huge Gigantacus.

Now, you may have realized that I didn't include Pink Diamond and the Crystal Gems on this list. And that's because we roughly already have their stories figured out due to the amount of times we see their past in the show. Writing a prequel about them may seem redundant and the only purpose it would achieve is more Rose Quartz screen time. 

It wouldn't be a bad story, but it's not worth writing when we already have the show and other fanfics to tell us a story that is very small in comparison to Arkham.

And here's the problem of writing the Arkham prequel with any of the characters I mentioned previously, there's no Steven. It may seem silly or petty to say that, but what is this series called?

Steven Universe.

Now, it is possible for me and everyone else to write a SU story without Steven being in it (especially since I'm an advocate for Spinel and Diamonds spinoff), but I suck at writing the Crystal Gems and Pink Diamond, due to me not being as interested in them.

To be fair, we already got two shows and a movie revolving around Pearl, Garnet, Amethyst, Lapis, Peridot and Bismuth. Meanwhile characters like Spinel and the Diamonds are so underused that we ignore the six aforementioned and absorb any screen-time of Spinel and the Diamonds. 

With that being said, the only thing that would make me consider writing an Arkham prequel is if the continuation of Steven Universe involves Homeworld and the Diamond Authority's relationship with each other (meaning before Pink Diamond rebelled). 

Because I strongly believe Homeworld and the things that go on in it are underused, hence why Arkham seems to heavily focus on the Diamond Authority and Homeworld. 

So in summary, if we get a new Steven Universe show and it's about Spinel and the Diamonds, Homeworld before Pink Diamond's rebellion or focusing on Steven after Future, then Arkham may receive a sequel.

Anything else probably won't be worth writing a story (notice how I say 'probably').
