Third person POV

It's been a year since fireteam Osiris ended up in beach city, they had to get used to not always fighting against fallen, hive, vex, cabal, etc.

Zach filled steven and the gems in on the fact that their from another dimension, Zach even had his ghost show proof.

Justin told steven and the gems that guardians are people who are resurrected from the dead to protect the last city.

Lapis showed up and wanted to join the crystal gems, Zach and lapis got along very well, and eventually started to date each other.

Steven met Connie and a few months after they started dating.

With the help of garnet, fireteam Osiris got their own rooms in the temple.

Zach's POV

I step outside and see steven sitting on a chair, looking sad.

"Something wrong steven?" I ask him.

"I got close to accessing my gems power, but I couldn't get the final push, I still don't know how my gem glowed to begin with." Steven tells me.

I sit next to Steven.

"You remind me of myself you know." I tell Steven.

"What do you mean?" Steven asks me.

"Back in my home dimension, the one I told you about, there was a time in my early years of being a guardian when I couldn't summon my sentinel shield, I tried so many times, but I couldn't summon it." I told Steven.

Steven looks at me surprised.

"Then how'd you figure it out?" Steven asks me.

"I figured out that the sentinel shield is based on my emotions and how I'm feeling, when I summon my sentinel shield at first, I focused on the feeling of protecting my friends/brothers, over time it became natural." I tell him.

"So how do I summon my gem weapon?" Steven asks me.

"Try focusing on the feeling to protect those you care about, like Connie for example." I tell Steven.

Steven gets up, closes his eyes, starts to focus, his gem starts to glow.

Steven puts his lower left arm in front of his gem, and a pink shield appears on his arm.

"Steven, you did it!" I tell Steven, happy for him.

Steven opens his eyes, a smile appears on his face.

"Let's go show the others!" Steven tells me.

I get up and open the door for him.

Steven runs in as the gems, justin and Raider teleport in via warp pad.

"Guys, look what I did thanks to Zach!" Steven tells the gems, Justin and Raider, showing him his shield.

"Good job Steven!" Amethyst tells him.

Garnet looks at me, and nods to me, silently thanking me for helping Steven.

I nod back.

Lapis walks over to me, hugs me, then kisses me.

"How's my lovely sea angel doing after her mission?" I ask her, smiling.

"I'm doing good, could use some cuddles though." Lapis tells me.

I pick up lapis and carry her to my room in the temple.

My room has a TV, ps5, a fridge, coffee maker, and a king size bed.

I set lapis on the left side of my bed.

I grab the TV remote, sit on the right side of my bed, pull lapis close to me, and turn on the TV.

I set the TV to YouTube and type in 'Vanossgaming', pulling up the latest GTA V video.
