"Ta-dah!" Steven makes a dramatic, emphasizing pose towards Peridot.
Peridot holds out the gift with both hands. Peridot inches forward towards Lapis. She points to the gift.

"See, the ribbon is even blue!" She winks and points at Lapis. "I got yo number, Bob!" "It's Lapis." Awkward silence. Peridot continues to present the gift as Lapis continues to silently and monotonously stare at her.

Peridot's grin falters and she darts an uncertain side-wards glance to Steven. Steven shrugs in response. "You're not helping!" Peridot continues with uneasiness.

"Uh, here, I'll unwrap it for you! "When I was stuck here, Steven gave me this tape recorder as a gift and I didn't really, get it at first." Peridot easily rips the top half of the wrapping off.

She takes the recorder out. "But it made me feel better. Just to unleash all of my rage out on it. It'll help you too!" Steven smiles at Peridot as she holds out the recorder to Lapis.

Lapis takes the recorder by the top without changing her expression. No comment either. Peridot gets even more nervous. "You-umm...squeeze the recorder and-"

Lapis raises her hand holding the recorder. She easily crushes it and drops it. Steven stares in horror and shock while Peridot stares at her wrecked recorder, flinching without blinking as it hits the ground and the tape inside it pops out.

Peridot has had enough. She finally snaps at Lapis. "NNGUH! WHAT WERE YOU TRAPPED IN A TAPE RECORDER TOO?!" Lapis looks at Peridot with rage. Peridot rubs her gem on her forehead.

"Great. You rejected a card, a pool, and now my only stress toy! Now, I'm going to go beserk and run for the hills with insecurity! AHH!" Peridot screams as she runs away towards the hills.

Steven gives Lapis a death glare. "What?"
"You destroyed her stress toy, Lapis. Now she's going to invade the temple and call the Diamond Authority to shatter her."

"Why would she do that?"
"Because Peridot loved that recorder with all her heart. She even called Yellow Diamond a clod for-ow!" Lapis slaps Steven across the face.

"Watch your mouth!"
"Sorry. Is that a Gem swear word?" "Yes! You didn't know?!"
"Uh...Peridot cursed Yellow Diamond out for that recorder."
"So Lapidot meant nothing to her?"

Steven looks at Lapis like she's gone mad. "What?!"
"I love her, Steven."
"But...you're terrible."
"Yeah, whatever."
"And if you loved her, then what was with all that crap happening back there?"

"Steven! I...just wanted to get back at her for what she did."
"And then after that, you were going to make out with her?"
"Well, yeah. While you guys aren't here and-hey! Where are you going?"

Steven walks away holding his head still. "I need some air."
"But you're already outside!"
"From water, Lapis! From you!" "Whoops. I traumatized him. Steven! I'm sorry!" Lapis runs after him.
