Several months later after filming another season, Bull got the opportunity to go on vacation at Beach City. And he made every moment he had there count. The minute he unpacked into his Airbnb, Bull drove all the way to Beach City and went to Steven's house. His house had been rebuilt and looked much better than after it had been destroyed by the debris. Bull walked on over to the house and knocked on it. A minute later, Steven opened the door. "Hey Bull!" he said, happy. Bull noticed that Steven was starting to get tall, and a bit of his neck was showing. "Hey Steven!" said Bull as he hugged him, "look at how tall you've gotten!" 

"It's good to see you," said Steven as he smiled, "you on vacation?" Bull nodded and said, "Sure am. How have you been?" Steven smiled and said, "I've been good." Bull nodded and said, "Hey, do you know where Lapis is?" Steven nodded and said, "I do. She's living with Peridot and Bismuth. Why do you ask?" Bull blushed and said, "Oh... no particular reason..." Steven gave a sly smile and said, "I think I know why... but don't worry about that! I'll take you to her." Bull smiled as he followed Steven. Beach City was starting to be rebuilt so that all the healed Gems could live there. Steven then took Bull to a particular house and then knocked on the door. A few seconds later, Peridot opened the door.  "Hey Peri," said Steven as he smiled. "Hello Steven. Hello Bull," said Peridot, "on another vacation?" Bull nodded and said, "Sure am. Is Lapis here?" Peridot nodded and said, "I will tell her you have come. She still misses you. Come in you two." Bull chuckled and said, "sounds good." Steven and Bull got in, sitting on the couch. "Hey Lapis! Steven and Bull are here!" Peridot shouted in order to get her attention. This caused Steven and Bull to chuckle a little. A few seconds later, Lapis came to the living room and asked, "Peridot? Did you say Steven and Bull are here?"  

"That's exactly what I stated," confirmed Peridot. Bull looked at Lapis, surprised at her new appearance. She wore a blue tank-top, darker blue sweats, a golden bow-buckle, and golden sandals. He regained his speech pattern as he said, "Hey Lapis." He waved and smiled. Lapis was surprised and said, "Oh hey Bull." He stood up and said, "It's great to see you again. I like your new look." Lapis blushed and smiled, walking on over to Bull. "Thanks. It's great to see you too Bull," she said, hugging him, "you look good too." They both blushed. To break the awkward silence, Bull asked, "Hey Lapis, since I'm on vacation, would you want to hang out? Me and you?" Lapis stopped hugging and looked at Bull, saying, "Yeah. I'd like that a lot." Bull offered his hand and said, "Where to, m'lady?" Lapis laughed and said, "I wouldn't mind going to the amusement park." She gladly took his hand, holding it. "Then the amusement park is where we shall go," said Bull as they left the house to go to the amusement park in Beach City. Bull and Lapis went on the rides, having lots of fun. It made Bull happy to see Lapis smile so jovially. Afterwards Bull and Lapis relaxed on the beach. They took off their shoes and allowed their bare-feet to touch the waves. Bull was a little shy to put his hand near Lapis's hand as it sat on the sand. He just wanted to hold it.

"This is it Dane," he thought, "This is the part where you tell Lapis you love her." He breathed in and began, "Hey Lapis... There's something important I want to tell you..." Lapis looked at Bull and said, "What is it Bull?" She smiled at him a little. Bull hesitated a little and said, "I've been thinking lately... about you, that is... and, I really missed you..." Lapis noticed Bull wanted to hold her hand, and she gently placed her hand on top of his, holding it. "I missed you too Bull," she admitted, "I've been thinking a lot about you too." Bull smiled and said, "Lapis, from the moment I met you... I thought you were the most beautiful woman I'd ever laid eyes on, and I had a crush on you. What I'm trying to say is... I'm in love with you Lapis..." He looked down, relieved to have gotten all that off his chest. Lapis felt that heavy feeling in her chest again. It was that same feeling she felt when she first saw him on TV. She now knew what it was. It was the same emotions Ruby and Sapphire felt for each other. It was love. She gently placed her hand on his chin, and had him face her and look into her eyes. "Oh Bull..." she said, "I've had a crush on you too! I've felt a heavy feeling in my chest whenever I saw you as either Detective Miller or as yourself, and the thing is... I'm in love with you too!" She felt tears go down her eyes. But this time, they were tears of joy. "Lapis, you are so strong, brave, kind, and beautiful," said Bull, "you've overcome so much, and I see a beautiful person, and... I want to be with you..." Lapis smiled and said, "And you are kind, gentle, compassionate, and handsome. You make me feel like I belong. I want to be with you too..." The two then looked at each other, slowly moving towards each other. Bull slowly closed his eyes, and then kissed Lapis on the lips. Lapis felt this warmth inside her as she welcomed the kiss, embracing these romantic feelings. The two lovers held each other while kissing, happy to be with each other.
