The next day, Steven then explained everything regarding Pink Diamond to Blue and Yellow. Steven also tried to convince the two diamonds to try and heal the corrupted gems. The only way that was possible was if White Diamond was also involved. So Steven came to the logical conclusion that he and the Gems must go to Homeworld and convince White Diamond to help heal the corrupted Gems on Earth. "Can you, Dad, Lapis, and Bismuth keep an eye on the house while we're gone?" Steven asked Bull. "Course we can," assured Bull, "I got 4 days left. I'm sure you'll be back before then. No fuss, no muss."

"And someone's got to be there when Peridot wakes up," said Bismuth. Greg hugged his son and said, "good luck schtuball. I know you got this. I love you son." Steven smiled and said, "I love you too Dad." Steven, Connie, The Crystal Gems, and the two diamonds then went into Pink Diamond's spaceship that looked like a pink pair of legs, and then flew out of Earth. Bull watched the spaceship fly away. "I doubt that's going to be the weirdest thing I've seen so far," said Bull. A few hours later, Lapis tapped him on the shoulder and asked, "Hey Bull, would you like to hang out?"

"Sure," said Bull as he smiled at Lapis. The two of them walked on the beach, and then decided to sit on the sand. Lapis let her bare feet wade in the water, and Bull decided to wade with her. "You, uh, want to get to know each other?" Lapis asked. "I don't see why not," said Bull, "you want to go first?" Lapis shook her head and said, "Nah, you go first." Bull sighed and said, "alright, well I wasn't always a mutant dog humanoid. I was a regular dog with a regular colored fur. I was bred with a Great Dane and a bulldog as my parents. Few weeks after I was born, I was put up for adoption and got adopted by a family with a six-year-old son named Josh. He named me Bull. If you're familiar with the old phrase a dog is a man's best friend, then it's true because Josh was my best friend. We did a lot together, we played together. I cherish every moment I had with Josh. Four years later, I believe this was the day after Kurt Cobain died, I got run over by a drunk driver. All four of my legs were broken in places that shouldn't be, I had broken ribs, a nasty concussion, I was practically on death's door. But Josh's father, he was a scientist for the government, and he promised Josh that I wouldn't die. He had this mutagen that had yet to be approved by the government, and he put it in me. This mysterious mutagen healed all my wounds, but it did more than that. It altered everything. My fur turned green, and I mutated into something anthropomorphic and human-like. And that's not all that was altered, my intellect was altered. I had human intelligence, giving me the ability to speak and comprehend like a human and see things that dogs normally don't see. Plus my immune system was tripled where I can eat foods that a dog normally can't eat, and my aging slowed down. I was a new dog basically. True I had nightmares from the whole ordeal; I mean who doesn't have nightmares from almost dying? Heck, I bought that drunk driver's car and destroyed it with a crowbar. But I found the one way to cope with my trauma was through acting. As I became more intelligent, I got bit by the acting bug. Back in 2008, I helped Josh move some stuff for a friend when suddenly, something hit my foot and I screamed. By sheer coincidence, a talent agent heard my scream and liked my voice. And so I got to sing the remix to The Banana Splits theme song. I get a lot of royalty checks for it. Then I became an understudy for Shakespearean plays. You'd think I would fade into obscurity after that, but that same talent agent had me play Frankenstein's monster in a crossover where the character fights Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, played by James McAvoy. I got along with McAvoy so well, he offered me the chance to play Detective Quentin Miller on that supernatural mystery show, and the rest as they say, is history."

"Sounds like an interesting story," said Lapis. "Well truth is stranger than fiction," said Bull. "My life is a bit more messed up," said Lapis, "during The Great Gem War, I visited Earth, and then my form was poofed out. My gem was then put into a mirror, and then got cracked. I was trapped in that mirror for thousands of years. That is, until Steven freed me from that mirror. Then he healed my gem. After that I got captured by Yellow Diamond's cronie Jasper. She forced me to fuse with her, and we fused into this fusion known as Malachite. I trapped Jasper in the bottom of the ocean to ensure Malachite wouldn't hurt anyone. Thankfully we were unfused from that. But that relationship was so toxic, I hated what I became. It's taken me a long time to overcome that ordeal. But I'm glad I've overcome it." She smiled proudly.

"Wow Lapis, your story is very uplifting," complimented Bull, "you are definitely a strong person." Lapis blushed and said, "Thanks Bull. That means a lot coming from you. So how did you meet Steven?" Bull chuckled and said, "I was on vacation when Steven found me. The Airbnb I stayed at was Connie's neighbor. I helped Steven and Connie reconcile." Lapis chuckled and asked, "what were the odds of that?" The two of them shared a laugh together. Bull looked at Lapis's eyes and said, "you are very beautiful." This caused Lapis to blush even more. And maybe the two of them were starting to fall in love with each other.
