It had been two months since Bull and Lapis kissed and started their romantic relationship. Bull then convinced Steven and the Gems to build a warp pad in Los Angeles to make it easier to be with Lapis. He, Bismuth, and Greg then built a house that would neighbor right next to Steven's house. Now the house was nearly complete, and Bull was testing the warp pad in LA. The warp pad was on a park in LA, and Bull stepped into the warp pad. Then the warp pad activated, teleporting Bull into his new house in Beach City. Specifically inside the living room. He saw Lapis was in the kitchen. "Hey Lapis, it worked!" Bull said excitedly. "That's wonderful," said Lapis, "I made you some hot buffalo wings!"

"Awww, ya shouldn't have!" Bull said as he walked over to Lapis and kissed her. "Well I know how much you love hot wings," said Lapis as she smiled. "Well I am a five-time hot wing eating champion," said Bull as he and Lapis sat at the table to eat. Bull and Lapis then shared the basket of hot wings together. "You did a good job making these Lapis," complimented Bull as he finished eating his 3rd wing. "It was my first time making them," admitted Lapis. "Always a first for everything," said Bull as he winked at her, causing her to blush. Several minutes later, they finished eating, and Bull decided to clean his face. Suddenly, there was a knock on the door. "I'll get that," said Bull as he walked over to the door. He opened it, and saw a large stranger.

She looked to be a muscular tangerine orange and red-striped Gem with horns and two teal-colored markings, along with a dark brown and red Homeworld suit with a yellow diamond uniform at the center. Her hair was a beige color, and long like Amethyst's hair. And she had a yellow gem where her nose was. Bull wondered how this stranger breathed at all without a nose. She was two inches taller than him, and she had a crazed look on her face, like the look of a scorned woman. "Uh, hi..." Bull said awkwardly. "Where's Lapis, you skinny beanpole??!?!?!?" The Angry Gem snarled. "Excuse me?" Bull asked, offended by her comment. "Bull, who's at the door?" Lapis asked as she walked to the front door. She saw who it was and gave a look of dismay. "Jasper..." She said in an unusually disgruntled voice. "Wait, that's the Jasper that forced you to fuse into Malachite?" Bull asked. "Unfortunately yes..." Lapis confirmed, frowning. "I'm right here, I can hear what you're saying, you nitwits!" Jasper snapped. Lapis glared and asked, "What do you want Jasper?"

"Amethyst and Peridot told me you got a new boyfriend," said Jasper, "wanted to see for myself what he looked like. I have to say, I'm disappointed. You fell in love with this weakling?" Lapis growled, "leave my boyfriend alone, Jasper! And he is not weak!" Jasper smirked and scoffed, "look at him. He's not even a Gem! You can't even fuse with him! Your interspecies relationship with him is about as unnatural as the unnatural relationship between the foolish earthling known as Greg Universe and that traitor, Rose Quartz, resulting in that bastard child Steven Universe! You earthlings are all beneath me!" Bull got angry and snapped, "you leave Steven out of this, you arrogant prick! And besides, Pink Diamond was Rose Quartz!" He huffed in anger. "And I don't care if Bull can't fuse with me!" Lapis defended, "unlike you Jasper, Bull Dane is kind and gentle, and he loves me for who I am, and I'm happy with him, fusion or not!" Jasper took Lapis's hand and protested, "but we were powerful as Malachite! You expect to feel powerful with this weakling? Join me and become Malachite again! I'm nothing without you..." Lapis got her hand out of Jasper's grip and defiantly said, "no! I hated what we were, and I refuse to go back to that toxic relationship! I've moved on, and I'm happy with Bull!"

"We're going to have to ask you to leave Jasper," said Bull as he put his hand on Jasper's front shoulder. But this rejection angered Jasper, and she grabbed Bull's hand, and then tossed him out of the house and threw him around like a ragdoll. "IF I CAN'T HAVE YOU," screamed Jasper, "THEN NOBODY WILL!!!! YOU'RE FUSING WITH ME WHETHER YOU WANT TO OR NOT!!!" She then threw Bull to the other side of the beach, knocking Bull unconscious. Jasper leapt to where Bull was, ready to murder him. Suddenly, a giant hand made of water grabbed Jasper, lifting her off of the ground. Lapis flew in, controlling the giant water arm. "Get away from my boyfriend, YOU BITCH!!!" roared Lapis as she tossed Jasper around and around aggressively. She then used the giant hand to make Jasper face her. Lapis was enraged, with a glare that could shatter glass. "How dare you speak disrespectfully about Bull and Steven..." she growled, "and then you try to murder my beloved!!! NOBODY DOES THAT AND GETS AWAY WITH IT!!!! If you hurt Bull or Steven ever again, I WILL SHATTER YOU!!!!!" Lapis then angrily tossed Jasper far away, and she landed somewhere in the woods. Lapis then calmed down and let the water go, flying back to Bull. She tended to him and said, "oh stars... Bull, please wake up!" She gently stroked his face.

Bull groaned and opened his eyes. "I nink nat ditch noke ny nose..." Bull weakly said. Much later, Bull and Lapis were wading in the water, looking at the sunset. Bull was slowly healing thanks to the mutagen in his blood. "You gonna be okay?" Lapis asked in concern. "I've had worse," assured Bull, "you think that was bad, you should have seen what happened when I accidentally spilled banana pudding on Amber Heard." This caused the both of them to laugh. "I'm sorry you had to see that side of me babe," said Lapis as she looked down in shame. "Lapis, look at me," said Bull as he gently had Lapis look at him, "you were trying to protect me and not look back at that toxic past. I get it. And I agree that Jasper crossed a line by bringing Steven into this. I just hope we never see her again." Lapis nodded and said, "agreed. I'm just happy to have you in my life, Bull Dane." Bull smiled and said, "what matters is that we're here now. I love you, Lapis." He then gently kissed her on the lips.
