Eyeball stands up. "I'm un-!"
"DUCK!" Eyeball ducks just before the asteroid could hit her. "Woah. Good call, soldier! My gem could've cracked and I would've been a goner."

Steven smiles. "Hey. I'm just looking out for you." Eyeball stands. "Well, we made it. Now what?"
"We...wait?" Eyeball shrugs. She sits down. "You know what? You're really not that bad...Steven."

"Really?"
"Yeah." Eyeball's tone goes dark. "Rose Quartz is the worst. Why are you trying to prove that you are her? You're nothing like her. She would've just let me go."

Steven frowns. "Eyeball, what do you think is wrong with her?" "She...shattered Pink Diamond. Not only that, but she led a rebellion that destroyed our society. Our Homeworld would never be the same again."

"I don't get it. What's so great about Homeworld?"
"It's our home. And it used to be yours too. We were going to become a great society. Why do you choose the Earth over us?"

"We...just wanted to be free."
"Free." Eyeball lays down on her side. "You can't be free on Homeworld." "Then why not leave? Your platoon is gone anyway. You can stay in Beach City if you want. It's very nice there."

"I don't know. I just...wanted to be a legend. I wanted to become greater than anything on Homeworld. I wanted to shatter Rose Quartz's gem and become an elite. Get my own Pearl. The works. The luxury."

"So, what would you do if we ever get back?"
"I would fight for the ship and I would take all of you to Homeworld." Steven facepalms. "Ugh! Homeworld, Homeworld, Homeworld!"

Eyeball looks down into the bubble and she glares at him. "What's wrong with Homeworld? Homeworld is a place where you serve the Diamonds. The most-powerful beings in the cosmos."

Steven is starting to lose his patience with Eyeball. "Well...uh...what If we could give you everything you ever wanted on Earth? With..." Steven smiles and he holds up two fingers. "Twice the luxury?"

"Twice?"
"Yeah. We could give you a nice place to live. You can help us fight corrupted Gems and I could even be friends with you."
"Friends? Hmm..." Eyeball contemplates the idea.

"Okay. But...I want something that you have as well."
"Which is...?"
"The Pearl." Steven raises his eyebrow. "Pearl?"

"Yeah. I mainly wanted the Pearl. She could do everything for you. They're servants to Homeworld elites."
"Well...Pearl's probably not going to like this. But okay. Where do you like to stay? The barn? The temple?"

"Where does the Pearl reside?"
"In the temple."
"Then that's where I'm staying."
"Okay then. So, do you think they'll ever find us?"
"Uh-" A bright light shines at them.

Eyeball faces the pod and smiles. "Looks like we're saved." The bubble is sent into the ship and the pod door closes. Eyeball runs to the other side and stays put. Garnet, Pearl, and Amethyst check to make sure Steven is okay.

Steven speaks first and Pearl and Amethyst hug him. "STEVEN!"
"Guys! We've got a new member!" Steven rushes over to Eyeball. The three stare at Eyeball, stunned. "WHAT?!" Eyeball clears her throat.

"I've agreed to become a Crystal Gem. But on one condition." She points to Pearl. "You." Pearl points to herself. "Me?" Eyeball smiles. "You're going to be MY Pearl!" Pearl whips a glare at Steven who whistles to himself.

"STEVEN! I-I W-WILL NEVER...BE!" Pearl tightens her fists. "A SERVANT!" Eyeball backs away. "Uh-oh." Pearl takes out her spear. Garnet and Amethyst back away.

Pearl acknowledges Steven. "This is between me and her. Go over there with Garnet and Amethyst. Or else!" Pearl points her spear at Steven. "Don't make me do this."

Steven looks at Eyeball and he tears up a bit as he walks over to Garnet and Amethyst, ditching her. "I'm sorry, Eyeball." Eyeball glares at Steven. "So that's it then? You leave me to fight her?"

Steven looks down as Eyeball scolds him. "I thought we understood each other. Rose Quartz is bad and she's nothing like you! Or at least, I thought she was."

Garnet holds Amethyst back from joining Pearl's side. Steven looks away as Pearl points her spear at Eyeball. "Well, are you going to draw out a weapon or should I just throw you out of here!"

Eyeball pulls her chisel out of her gem. "I'm going to win. I was also in the war for Earth. I was trained in the Homeworld military force of Facet 6. And I was considered a prodigy." Pearl makes a counter to that.

"You're not going to win. You may be the best of your class. But I fought alongside my leader, Rose Quartz! I have taken down hundreds of you throughout the war!"

Eyeball throws her chisel at Pearl. "PROVE IT!" Pearl quickly moves to her right. Eyeball cartwheels away to the wheel as Pearl fires with her trident.

Eyeball summons another chisel and she strikes at Pearl. Pearl engages with Eyeball in spear to chisel combat. "YOU..." Eyeball hits the spear. "WILL..." Pearl hits the chisel. "OBEY!"

Eyeball hits Pearl's spear one last time as Pearl summons another spear, knocking Eyeball away. "You leave me no choice!" She runs to the wheel. "I'm taking you all to Homeworld!"

Amethyst summons her whip and she latches it onto Eyeball. She sends her flying away from the wheel and back into a wall. "Oof! Grr!" Eyeball summons another chisel just as Pearl sends down her spear.

"Enough!" She stabs Pearl with the chisel which sends her reeling into the door. "PEARL!"
"YOU ARE ALL MINE!" Eyeball throws one last chisel at Pearl who quickly deflects it away.

Pearl, with such a fury, stabs Eyeball's gem with the spear before she could summon another chisel. Eyeball's gem cracks as she looks over at Steven. Steven continues to tear up as Eyeball glares at her.

Eyeball poofs and Pearl picks up her gem. Steven watches in horror as Pearl sets the gem down. "You shouldn't have come back." Without pity, Pearl stabs the gem, shattering it.

Steven gasps as Pearl looks over at him. And in that one moment, Steven saw Rose Quartz staring at him without any emotion showing on her face. "You...shattered her."

Pearl's spears dissapear. "I had too, Steven." She walks back to the wheel and she sends the ship back to Earth. "Pearl...? Did YOU shatter Pink Diamond?" Pearl stops the ship immediately as she sweats.

"That's...none of your concern, Steven." She starts the ship up again as she controls the panel, sending the ship back home as she doesn't say another word along with everyone else.
