On the outskirts of Beach City during a frozen sunset, Steven stands in between his friends and family with his opposition approaching in front of him. Aquamarine holds the beam casted from her wand on Steven's allies, keeping them in place, as she puts a fist to her hip, her head raised in her conceited manner.

She hovers down towards Steven to meet him at eye level. "Nice try. But it's hopeless, my dad. I can't go back to Homeworld without getting what the Diamonds want." Steven looks down at the steel door of the spaceship as he loosens the tension of his clenched teeth.

He sighs, closing his eyes for a moment. "I'm--not my dad." Aquamarine clenches her teeth as she tips her wand down. "What?" Steven raises his voice as he rolls his eyes up to confront hers. "I'm not my dad!"

Aquamarine squints her eyes as she tightens her grip on the wand, raising her other fist towards the sky. "How much longer is this mission going to take?!" Steven takes a step forward as Topaz sustains her guard from behind her partner. "Well, I can end it for you. Right now!"

Aquamarine raises her eyebrow as Steven's phone vibrates in his pocket. "Really? Then tell us where my dad is already!" Suddenly, the ringtone from Steven's phone blares through the area, causing everyone that isn't frozen to jolt.

Steven quickly pulls the phone from his pocket only to have it snatched by Aquamarine. She widens her eyes as she gazes at the screen. "Dad?" Steven gulps as he stands still, petrified from the consequence of his oversight. "Wait a minute! Could Dad really be my dad?"

Aquamarine places a finger to her cheek as she pieces together the clues that she collected throughout her mission. She looks up at the sky until she finally snaps her fingers with a smile. "Of course! Now I get it! The list was given by a Steven--and you just admitted that you gave Peridot 5XG the list of human variations!"

Steven grimaces, taking a few steps back towards the edge as Aquamarine points a menacing finger, closing in on him. "You know everyone on the list too! A Connie, Lars, Sadie, the mailman, Onion I think, and above all, my dad! And you have it on this--whatever this thing is!"

Steven groans as he reproaches her. "It's a phone! Give it back!" Aquamarine scoffs as she floats away from him. She taps on the contact picture of Greg on the phone. Steven lunges into Aquamarine, causing her to let go of her wand. The beam wears off as it crashes down into the ocean with a plop.

Aquamarine rebounds off of Topaz as Steven wrestles with her for the phone. They grunt as Greg's voice pops out of the reciever. "Hello? Steven?" Aquamarine bites on the phone to strengthen her grip, growling in the midst of the tension. "Steven? What's going on?"

Topaz blocks entrance into the ship at the ready as the humans splash down into the ocean. Alexandrite grasps the tip of the ship as Aquamarine holds the phone up to her mouth. "Dad! You need to get out of Beach City! There are Gems looking for you! Please! Leave while you still can!"

Aquamarine's teeth creep into her smug grin as she turns her head towards the town. "Ah. So my dad is still in Beach City? Alright then. Once we're through with you, we can-!" Aquamarine looks over at her hand, stopping mid-sentence.

She grimaces as her eyes bulge. "My wand. Where is my wand?!" Her face sweats as Steven summons his shield. Aquamarine curls her fingers into trembling fists as her water wings flap from the back of her dress. She raises her right arm, pulling it back.

She unleashes her fury only to be cut off by Steven's shield. Her fists rebounds off the shield as she grunts. She groans as she squeezes her wrist in anguish. Steven grins with crossing eyebrows as he throws his shield at her torso. Aquamarine gasps as she reels back into Topaz.

She clutches her stomache as Steven summons another shield. Aquamarine turns her back towards him to face her partner. Topaz's expression remains mute and stolid as her eyes narrow. "T-Topaz! P-Please! You need to--help me defeat these--rebels!"

Topaz stands her ground as Steven bring his sheild into Aquamarine's back with a yell. She crashes down at her partner's feet as Steven looks down her with a matching expression. Aquamarine shudders as she pants on the cold metal door.

She presses her gloved hands against it to push herself up. She looks up just in time to raise her foot up over her partner. "T-Topaz?" She brings her foot down on her back, causing an implosion of smoke. Steven stumbles from the force, losing his balance as he flails his arms.

His sandals touch the edge of the door. With one final step back, he plummets down towards the ocean. Alexandrite catches him just before he could reach the surface, as she lets go of the ship. Topaz picks up Aquamarine's gem and she retreats into the ship, closing the hatch.

There is nothing more Aquamarine or Topaz can do about the mission. The ship stays hovering in mid-air without a captain, allowing Alexandrite to get ahold of it. Steven jumps into the ocean to join the others. "Steven, that was amazing!"

Connie embraces him as Alexandrite carries the ship back the shoreline of the beach. Steven chuckles as Sadie looks around the group. "Oh my gosh! Lars!" She starts swimming back to shore along with everyone else as Alexandrite unfuses in a flash of light.

Pearl, Garnet and Amethyst rush over to the hatch as they pull out their weapons. Sadie reaches the shoreline, pushing herself back up to darts towards the Gems. "Lars!" Garnet looks down at Amethyst. "Pull the hatch down! Topaz is still inside!" Sadie pushes past them. "Lars is in there!"

Amethyst lashes her whips at the hatch as Steven and the others catch up. With a grunt, Amethyst pulls the hatch all the way down into the sand with a thud. The Gems step inside, readying their weapons as Lars hurries out the ship, screaming. "Get me out of here!"

Sadie catches and embraces him on his way out as the Gems dash inside. They take a few steps forward as they look around. Steven pants as he gets behind them. "Guys! Stop! Topaz poofed Aquamarine! I mean, what if she's on our side?"

Garnet turns her head towards him. "Steven, she's with Homeworld!" Steven stretches out his arms as the Gems look over at the stairs. "But what if she doesn't want to fight us anymore?"

Pearl looks down into the abyss leading down without looking back at the speaker. "That's because she knows she's lost." Amethyst tilts her head towards him, her lips curling down into a frown.

"Sorry, Steven. Go take care of the others. We'll handle them." Steven sighs as he casts his eyes down as the Gems make their way down the stairwell. Steven steps outside into the gleaming sunset as the hatch closes behind him.
