Chapter 12 ~ Early Judgement
Toriel frowned. "If only I had been awake, I could have kept them from leaving, I could have protected them..." She said. Isla hugged Toriel to comfort her. "Miss Tori, I don't think we were protecting them from the underground..." Isla said. Toriel looked up at her. "What? I don't understand...?" "It's nothing... just talking to myself is all."
"Child... Play me a song please." The woman requested. Isla gave her a big smile and ran to get her guitar. When she came back with the guitar, which was still too big for her so it looked a little silly, she asked Toriel if she had any requests. "Well... Just whatever you would like, child."
Isla thought a little before an idea popped into her head. "I remember my mom used to play a video game sometimes with a catchy song... How about that one?" Isla asked. "Sure, why not?" Toriel said with a kind smile. Isla never really talked about her life on the surface, so it was rare that she ever talked about family.
(Song above, as always!)
Isla played with many mess-ups, as she had never played the song, but she did it. Toriel clapped and laughed a little. "Toriel, Can we bake a pie together?" Isla asked. Toriel widened her eyes in surprise, before nodding. "Come, my child. I'm surprised that you didn't call me Miss..."
"Well... I wanted to try it out. I decided I like it!" Isla said with a happy smile. Toriel smiled widely and accompanied Isla into the kitchen after she set down her guitar as the two cooked, care-free and happy.

Sans stared with wide eyes at Frisk, who was killing everything they saw. Genocide. That could only mean that...
Sans shook his head. "No. They're fine, They weren't killed..." He told himself over and over. Eventually he went to the ruins and spoke through the door. "Tori? ... You there?"
...
...
But no one came...
Sans started hyperventilating, tears welling in his eye-sockets. "N-no, it was only this once, it's o-ok, they'll come any second now..." Sans sank to his knees, crumpling up and sobbing by the door. "She always comes. She can sense that I am here every time, please, let her come..." Sans mumbled.
...
But no one came.
Looks like things really are hopeless.
Just give up. You did all the other times.
Give up.
Give up.
Give up!
GIVE UP!
Sans gasped and looked up with grief-filled eyes(Sockets). He stood up and his expression darkened considerably. "No. I will stop them. I will..." Sans started mumbling to himself as he walked towards Snowdin.

Isla looked at the pie proudly.
Toriel pet Isla's head before cutting the pie into slices, since they had already let it cool. Then she set it on the plate in front of Isla. When the girl took her first bite, she moaned because it was so good. She normally did anyways, so it didn't make much difference.
*It tastes better when you make it yourself.
Isla nodded in reply, still eating it. "This is amazing, as usual." Isla told Toriel. "You helped me, of course." Toriel chuckled. Isla only gave her a big, happy smile, and then took another huge forkful.
"Still good though!"
---~---
Sans stood in front of Chara where Papyrus usually stood. Frisk took a step back in surprise. Papyrus was back at home, making dinner at Sans's request. Sans was rather good at making up diversions... "You killed them, didn't you? Tori... Isla..." Sans muttered. Frisk's face contorted into a sadistic smile, grasping the toy knife in their hand. "And? What are you going to do about it? Nothing!" Frisk laughed.
"... This isn't really an appropriate place, but I'll just have to make do..." Sans said. His gazed pierced Frisk's. "You will now be judged for your every action." Sans said. Frisk's smile faded into a look of fear as Sans's eye glew a bright blue color, and Frisk's bright red soul was immediately hit until they were at 1 HP.
Frisk smirked. "I'll just come back, you know." They said with a huge smirk. That was until they didn't feel any reset. Nothing was happening. It was really the end... "Wait... No! Don't do this!" Frisk begged. They opened the reset screen, only to see... nothing. No reset... "This is for Isla, you dirty daughter killer!" Sans delivered the final blow, a bone sticking through their torso as Sans gathered the soul in his phalanges. He then went to bring it to Asgore, taking a shortcut directly to the judgement hall. "Asgore... I got a soul."
---~---
Isla stood, waiting excitedly for Sans to come through the door. It was once again, his annual visiting day. Isla had a new song for him, and she was so excited. She waited.
And waited.
And waited.
*But no one came...?
Isla still waited, trying to look at the positive. "He probably got caught up." Isla said nervously. Frisk's bloodthirsty gaze flashed across her eyes as she waited. Seconds turned into minutes, Minutes turned into hours, and hours to days. Isla was asleep by the door, tear stains on her face. Toriel was sitting beside her, also asleep.
It had been three days, and he never came.
*The happiness is fading.
*Dark times are here for you.
*Your virtue is failing you.
Chara's sad voice echoed in Isla's dreams as she cuddled up next to Toriel. The woman woke up, and looked at Isla. She smiled sadly, picking her up and bringing her to her room. She tucked her in and kissed her forehead before leaving to her own room to sleep once more.
Isla's dreams were full of torment, the same nightmare she had while with Sans was back. In the long hall with golden walls, floors, pillars, stained glass windows... And then... She saw Frisk. It was always Frisk. Isla gasped, how had she nod recognized when she saw them?
Isla was crying in her sleep, And chara set a comforting hand on her shoulder, watching her friend sleep restlessly.
Chara sighed, and sat down beside the bed, and waited until morning, so that she could comfort her friend then.
---~---
Papyrus was confused as to why Sans seemed so lifeless. more than usual, I mean. He wasn't even cracking jokes all that much anymore, and whenever Papyrus would ask about it, he'd laugh it off. Finally Papyrus had him cornered. "SANS. TELL ME WHAT'S WRONG." "Nothing's wrong, Paps." "SANS. YOU'RE CRYING." Papyrus sighed, Sans wiped his face, seeing wetness on his hands. "Oh. I didn't notice."
"SANS. WHY ARE YOU SAD?" Papyrus asked. Sans sighed deeply. "I dunno. I just... I realized that for all I know, Isla could be dead." Sans lied. But Papyrus bought it, and hugged Sans tightly. "DON'T WORRY, BROTHER! I AM SURE THAT ISLA IS SAFE AND SOUND, WHEREVER SHE IS." Papyrus said. Sans only started to sob into Papyrus's clothes.
And Papyrus could only sigh, knowing that his brother was just that unhappy... And he could do nothing about it.
