Marks POV
When I open my eyes, my sight is blurry and my body feels stiff. I blink a few times to clear it and I freeze when I see my surroundings. I'm in a house, a giants house! I am lying on a warm, piece of unknown material. I hear distant footsteps, getting closer. I curl into a ball, afraid that a bloodthirsty Neko is going to come around the corner and torture me. Then the footsteps stop and a shadow falls over me. I look up and freeze in fear. A female Neko was standing over me, her eyes a vivid poison green. I feel helpless and small, like a wild animal. I find my courage and stammer 'P-p-please don't hurt m-me.' 'And why would I do that?' said the Neko, confusion in her eyes. 'Because you're a Neko, and everyone knows that Nekos are dangerous' I say without thinking once. The Neko looks hurt and angry and I shrink back into a ball. Her face softens, and I feel like I can trust her, but then she reaches forward to touch me. I yelp and scoot backwards... off the bed I was on.

Jewels POV
As I see him fall off my kitchen bench, my tail bristles and I shoot out my hand and catch him, cradling his tiny figure in my cupped hands. He looks up at me, breathing loudly and shivering. I hug him to my chest and I feel his breaths even out and quieten. He looks sixteen and is about 2 inches tall. I put him back on my bed and we talk. I learn that his name is Mark and he has a friend called André. When I ask about his family, he becomes solemn, so I quickly change the subject. 'Are you hungry?'

Marks POV
'Heck yeah!' I say when Jewel asks me if I want food. Then she does something unexpected. She puts her thumb and index finger around my waist and lifts me up. I seem to be traveling at 100 miles a second and I can feel gravity pulling me down. Then she places me on her shoulder. 'Wow' I say quietly. 'What's wrong Mark, did I scare you?' the Neko asks playfully. 'No, I just want you to warn me before you do that again' I say 'KK Mark, hold on we're going now' she says quietly and starts walking. I hold onto the collar of her shirt as she walks to a brightly coloured room. Then she puts her arm on the table and I run down it and jump off. So I sit down, wondering about what's for breakfast when Jewel comes back with some.... BACON!!!
