" Well done Wakeel Sahab!"

The voice startled Naveen as he jerked his face in the direction, only to be surprised.

" You?"

" Who else Senior Sirji? Who else do you think would follow your steps here? Offcourse your beloved student.", said Kunal Ahuja, sarcastically referring to the time where he was his student and practically hated him for his ways. Today he was once again standing in front of him, hating him for different reasons altogether.

" What the hell are you doing here? And how...how did you find this place? ", Naveen yelled at him madly, pointing the gun at him. But Kunal didn't flinch at all. He stood there with the same smirk which irked Naveen.

" Tell me! How did you find me? Who else knows about it? 'Else I'll kill you. Tell me!", he kept on shouting, making Kunal laugh.

" Well...I thought you were a clever one. Indeed you are. But I think the jail's atmosphere just didn't suit you. Otherwise you wouldn't have made this mistake. ", he said while Naveen looked at him confusedly.

" Mistake? What mistake?"

" That you chose to run to the same place where you tortured me years ago.", this came from none other than Nandini Murthy who just entered the place with Arnav, Khushi, Cabir and Manik behind her. The commissioner followed him with Inspector Shinde, making Naveen's eyes widen as saucers.

" What? Shocked? Thinking how did this happen? You toh had run away right? Planning revenge on our family and then planning to leave the country? Then how did we find you so easily?", Khushi said mockingly making everyone except Naveen laugh, the latter gritting his teeth.

" Well let me clear your confusion. All this...was a trap. A trap to catch you in your own game. ", said Cabir making Naveen take a step back in shock.

" You know with the Indian Judiciary system, it would have taken ages to get you a punishment and then what? You just get hanged for your sins. Such a painless punishment compared to what you have done. ", said Kunal and the Commissioner added, " Not forgetting the waste of Government resources till you're in jail.", making everyone laugh.

" So....we decided to make all this right by punishing you ourselves. ", said Arnav in a mocking yet dangerous tone.

" Well... today when I was about to take you out of your cell, commissioner sir called and explained the plan to me and I instantly agreed. All the constables along with me wore life jackets under our uniform to save us from drowning. Then I deliberately instructed the driver to take the bridge. And that bullet? That too was fired by one of our snipers. And all that falling into water and you escaping....it was all your idea but our plan. And see...you did exactly what we wanted you to. ", said Inspector Shinde making Naveen stumble. He was tricked? And he didn't even realise?

" But you know? We were still in doubt whether you'll come here. But Nandini was pretty sure that you'll turn up here only. And see....you did exactly the same. ", Kunal said and everyone laughed except Naveen who was staring at them with a pale face.

" What do you want?", he said looking at Nandini who was silent till now, enjoying his expressions. She smiled at him.....a sinister smile that made his insides curl.

" Nothing much. Just gonna give you  your rightful punishment. ", she said and this infuriated Naveen as he charged on her with the gun. He pulled the trigger immediately shouting her name and.....

Everyone burst out laughing.

Why?

Well because as soon as Naveen pulled the trigger.......a stream exploded from behind the gun and painted his face black.

Sooo sad.....

" You thought everyone is a fool like you? Why would we leave any weapon here for you to use? Use your brain dude. Ya kahin use paani mein bahake to nahin aa gaye?", said Cabir making everyone's laughs increase and Naveen's anger too.

First he was tricked and brought. Then all his plans backfired. And now his insult. He could not take it.

First time in his life was he loosing so badly to someone and this was undigestable for him.

He immediately threw away the gun and was about to pounce on Nandini, but the constables held him, tackling him into a chair as he continued to fire profanities at her.

Nandini gestured Cabir something and he and Arnav went out. Soon after they came back carrying some wires and machines, and Naveen's face paled seeing them.

" No! No! Not those!", he shouted earning smirks from everyone.

" Why Mr. Aggarwal? This is what you do to people you want to torture right? We're just following your path Sir.", said Manik as they attached the wires to his body, which he was wiggling violently.

" No! Stop! Not these! No!"

But none paid any heed to his pleadings  as they proceeded to fix the equipments.

Finally, Nandini looked in the eyes of Naveen and pressed something on a remote and.......

" AAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!!", Naveen's scream echoed the whole dungeon as his face contorted and a huge jolt ran through his whole body.

Yes...this was the same torture device that Naveen used on his preys. He used to torture people using this until they speak out what he wants, or until they beg to die.

And today, Nandini gave the same back to him, giving peace to all those souls who have suffered pain in the devil's hands.

" What happened Devil? Did you not enjoy? Well...I thought to welcome you in your style only. I thought you'll like it. Anyways....don't worry, I have something else too. This is surely better.", she said and pushed another button.

And there came another loud and painful scream from Naveen as this time, he was drenched in hot water that burned every cell of his body.

His screams didn't stop as Nandini again pushed the first button sending another jolt of current through him. The electric current and hot water, both together made his whole body burn like sitting on lava and he felt himself close to dying.

But how can he die so soon? Nandini immediately stopped the torture leaving him breathless and aching. His face was red due to the burn and his whole body was slowly turning black due to the electric shock.

She walked upto him and pulled his hairs gaining another shriek from him. She made him look at her and stared dangerously into his eyes.

" Did you feel it? Did you feel the pain? This is how all those innocent people felt when you screwed them like this. This is how they felt when you destroyed their lives. When you destroyed their families. ", she spat at him distastefully before leaving his hairs and landing a hard punch on his face.

"AND THIS IS HOW MY FATHER FELT WHEN YOU SCREWED UP HIS WHOLE LIFE!", she said landing punches on his face as he kept growling in pain.

" THIS IS HOW MY MOTHER FELT WHEN YOU GAVE HER ALL THOSE PAINS JUST TO TAKE REVENGE FROM HER FATHER!", she yelled and kicked him in his guts, making him fall from the chair.

" THIS IS HOW NIHARIKA AUNTY FELT WHEN YOU DESTROYED HER HAPPINESS FOR YOUR ILL MIND!", she said, continuously kicking him while he lied there groaning in immense pain of some broken ribs and bruised body.

" AND THIS IS HOW I FELT WHEN YOUR MEN TORE MY WHOLE BODY APART, RIGHT HERE, AT THIS VERY FUCKING PLACE!", she yelled, landing the hardest of kicks to where the sun doesn't shine, making him scream the loudest........a proof that he just lost his babymaker.

She bent down to his level and pulled his hairs again making him hiss.

" You did this all for your revenge na? I know you suffered a lot in your life too. You hated Niharika Aunty because you thought she was the reason for your mother's bad condition? And then my Nanu. He misjudged the situation, framing you as a culprit, sending you to jail. You were sent to rehab, without any fault of yours. Your father disowned you even when you were innocent. You were left on the streets to beg. I know what you suffered was very pathetic. Very very pathetic and I hope no one ever suffers a fate like you.", she said softly making him look at her. Her eyes showed pity for him for the first time today and he felt all those memories coming back to him.

" But your sufferings never gave you the permission to destroy other's lives.", she said sternly making him look away. She searched for a hint of guilt in his eyes but found none. Years of being in this dark world has made him so immune to moral talks that now he can never understand his faults.

" I just wish you had ever though about your mother before doing all this. This is surely not what she wanted you to be. This is surely not what Neeta Aggarwal thought you would become when she picked you up from the temple stairs and made you her son.", and this shook Naveen's whole existence. He stared at Nandini in shock, trying to find even a small sign that what she was telling was a lie. But finally finding none, a tear drop escaped his eyes and a shooting pain rose in his heart.

Nandini walked a little away from him, giving him some time to process her words. Everyone were busy in their own thoughts and  silence was the only thing that could be heard.

BOOM!

The sound of bullet echoed the dungeon as everyone turned around shocked.

Naveen Aggarwal had found a gun lying nearby which had accidentally fallen from one of constables' belts while tackling him. And before anyone could stop him, he fired.

And Nandini's whole world came to a stop.

" MANIK!"

Everyone shouted his name and Nandini and Cabir immediately ran to Manik, who stumbled onto the ground with his hand on his stomach where the bullet had pierced.

The police constables and Inspector Shinde ran to Naveen and snatched the gun away from him and punched him while holding him in place.

" Manik! Manik please keep your eyes open. Nothing will happen to you. Please please don't close your eyes.", Nandini pleaded while checking his wound which was bleeding profusely. Manik's breath had turned laboured due to the pain and he was finding it difficult to keep his eyes opened.

" You thought you will go all emotional on me and I will surrender? Han? No. I am the Devil. I don't have emotions babygirl. My mother died because of your Grandfather and I was left to mourn. Now you will feel the same pain when this lover of yours will die the same fate. And you will never be in peace after this. Because you will very well know. Your Manik died only because of you. Remember that. Only because of y....", he stopped suddenly as Arnav punched him so hard that blood came gushing out of his mouth. Nandini handed Manik over to Cabir and stood up with extreme rage.

" Till now you tortured me in so many ways. But this time you broke all hells loose. You dared to harm my love. Now I'll show you who the real devil is. Get ready to die Mr. Naveen Aggarwal.", she said, walking dangerously towards Naveen.

" Veere you can't do this okay? You can't leave me. You can't leave Mom Dad. What about Fab 5? What will we do without you? And Bira? What will happen to her?", Cabir said pointing at Nandini who had now pounced on Naveen yelling at him and punching and kicking him like a mad person.

" Come on Veere. Keep your eyes open okay. We will soon get you to the hospital. Kunal has gone to get the car. We'll take you to the hospital and you will be all fine.....", he stopped as another loud sound echoed around the place and he look up horrified to find Nandini standing there with a furious face, looking at the lifeless Naveen into whom she had emptied three bullets, right into his heart, killing him then and there.

Finally....the Chapter of the Devil was closed.

Nandini averted her eyes to look at Manik who was looking at her with painful drooping eyes. Her face softened as she rushed to him and held his head on her lap.

" Manik. Nothing will happen to you ok. Nothing will happen to you. We will get you all well. Don't worry. Look at me. Come on. Look at me.", she said, as Arnav tied Khushi's scarf around his abdomen to restrict the blood loss.

" Sh...o..na ", Manik said with utmost difficulty making her tear up. Just then Kunal rushed in. " Car's here. Lets go.", he said and Nandini tried to get up holding Manik but stopped as the latter held her hand.

" Remem...ber. I alw...ays l...lov..ed y..you Sh...o..na. ", he uttered painfully before his eyes closed finally and Cabir screamed.

And Nandini fell numb staring at his lifeless face.
