Ok. So guys, this is not an actual chapter.

As the drama is almost over now, lets analyze what actually happened.

It is important to understand who was at fault and how.

Well, to be honest, there was not only one person at fault here. It was a web of mistakes that led to a greater tragedy.

Lets start with the start.

Parosh Chatterjee

He is a well-cultured, strict man. He follows his values and rules pretty well. He has a strong will power and can go to any extent for his family.

But he made a mistake.

When he saw Naveen jerking Niharika and she falling from the terrace, he believed immediately that Naveen had tried to kill her.

He was suspiscious from past many days that Naveen was growing hatred towards Niharika, and he imposed this belief of his, in this situation as well.

He so much got into this that he failed to notice how madly Naveen ran down the stairs to reach his sister.

He failed to realise the fact that, Niharika was after all Naveen's sister and it is hard to belief thing that he would try to kill his own sister.

He should have talked to him before jumping into his own conclusions and telling his own views to Kartik Aggarwal.

His one wrong assumption, spoiled Naveen Aggarwal's life and pented up hatred in him.

Kartik Aggarwal

Kartik Aggarwal was a loving person. His first priority was always his wife whom he loved a lot. He did every possible thing to keep her and his family happy.

When Niharika landed in the hospital, he lost his senses to think anything straight. Neeta, his wife was also not well and this broke him down.

And he did a mistake.

A mistake of not believing his son.

He believed his friend's words and didn't even give Naveen a single chance to defend himself, before accussing him.

His accusations broke Naveen to such an extent that he confessed a crime he had never committed and even accepted punishment for it.

His accusation, somewhere or the other, led to worsening of Neeta's health and finally ďeath.

The second mistake he did was when he went away with his daughter and never came back for his son.

He knew that Naveen will be freed after 3 years. But he didn't come back to take him. He didn't give him a second chance.

Maybe, if he would have given Naveen a second chance and accepted him back as his son, Naveen would never have got involved with mafias.

His mistakes led to destruction of many lives and Niharika became a villian for his deeds, without her fault.

Kartik's mother

Kartik's mother was an orthodox lady who strictly abided by the norms of the society.

First when Neeta was unable to give a child for some years, she without any mercy started taunting her, adding more to her miseries.

When they brought Naveen, she loved him a lot as he was a boy.

But Niharika's birth pissed her. She being a very narrow-minded lady, thought a girl-child as a burden and started demeaning her.

When she couldn't harm her directly, she used Naveen for this. She filled Naveen's ears against Niharika and made him believe that she was an omen.

Lastly, when Naveen returned from rehab, she, instead of informing him about Kartik and sending him there, added more fuel to the fire by blaming Niharika for Neeta's death.

The cunning lady did contribute a lot to this tragedy.

Naveen Aggarwal

Naveen Aggarwal is the main culprit of this story. But his character was moulded by many hands.

Being an adopted son, he always had his insecurities. He loved Neeta a lot and couldn't imagine anything happening to her.

When Neeta became week due to her delivery, he became very worried for her and fear of loosing his mother gripped his heart.

His Dadi added fuel to his fire by her blaming of Niharika. He started growing hatred for Niharika among all this.

But everything was okay, till the accident.

The false accusations and punishments broke him to a greater extent.

Still he kept the hope that his father would forgive him when he gets out. But his hopes were brutally crashed and that gave birth a new Naveen Aggarwal.

A jail or a rehab is never a good place. The criminals when sent there, many a times try to include the innocent in their dirty games. Same happened with Naveen.

Vikram Khanna, a criminal already, lured Naveen into his world and then there was no stopping.

Naveen grew stronger and scarier to become The Devil.

But here he crossed his limits.

As a person who suffered a lot, sane thinking was never expected from him.

But he crossed all bars when he ended up hurting and destroying innocent lives.

A person's past sufferings can never be the license for harming innocent lives.

And he did this, finally becoming a sinner.

He disregarded all the teachings of that mother, whom he loved to the core once and for whom he had grown hatred for everyone. 

He deserves the harshest of punishments. And I'll try to make sure he gets the same.

Vinay Murthy

Vivek and Viren's father. A strict person. He loves his family and sons a lot. But for him, discipline is a must. He wanted his sons to become perfect in life.

Seeing that Vivek was always pampered greatly by his mother and brother, he opted to be the strict and harsh one for him.

But in all this, he failed to realise that, he was actually putting a lot of pressure on him.

A child always looks forward to his/her fathers praises when he/she gains even a little success.

But Vinay never gave that to Vivek. In the quest of teaching him patience and the taste of failure, he broke his confidence many a times.

Although Viren fulfilled this void in Vivek's life, but a tinge of hatred remained, which was later exaggerated when he met Vikram.

Always comparing Vivek with Viren created hatred for both in Vivek's heart, which led to him taking wrong steps.

Although he succeeded in being a good father and guide to Viren, he somewhere failed in Vivek's case.

Vivek Murthy

Being frustrated with constant ignorances from his father and frequent comparisons with his elder brother, he finally chose to take the wrong path.

Instead of talking heart to heart with his father and sorting it all out, he found his refuge in Vikram Khanna's praisings.

When Vikram lured him to join Naveen, he not for once thought to make a background check, and jumped into the pit. He never even talked to his brother about all this or seek his advice.

Once he walked on the wrong path, he never stopped.

He agreed to whatever Naveen said, blindly and dragged many people in his mess.

He even agreed to join drugs bussiness with Naveen, even after knowing that it was illegal and how deep he can drown in this mess.

Finally when he realised, he was already deep in the mess with no way of getting out.

But he again made a mistake when he chose to keep everything to himself and never disclosed about his sufferings to his family.

Its truly said that, family is the only one which comes to your rescue, how much ever deep shit you're in. But he didn't abide by this.

Irony is, he suffered a lot to keep his daughter safe, but ended up making her hate him.

His mistakes are big, but his sufferings are also big. So maybe somewhere, he has already got his part of punishment.

Niharika Murthy

Although she is one of the most vulnerable characters, she also has her own share of mistakes.

She loved Vivek a lot, and love can never be a mistake.

But her fault was, she believed him blindly.

He kept her away from his family....she agreed without any question.

Even when she heard about Vivek marrying Sunaina, she believed his words blindly and never did really confront his family or Sunaina.

Maybe, if she would have ever fought for herself, she could have saved Sunaina and Nandini from this mess.

Sunaina Chatterjee

She is a righteous character. She was nowhere involved in any of the mess in Naveen or Vivek's life. But still she suffered.

She suffered because of her father's fault.

But she committed two mistakes.

One, she ran away with Vivek, even after strictly prohibited by her father. She decided to diregard her father for a man whom she met for maybe few months. Although we can term it as her undying love for Vivek, the fact can't be ignored that parents never think wrong for their children. Instead of talking to her father, she disobeyed him by running away with the man, who later hurt her.

Second, when she got proofs against Naveen and decided to dig in, she should have informed her family about this, which she didn't. She dealt with everything alone, just like Vivek, and at last suffered.

In all the above cases, one thing is clear....everyone had choices. They could have opted for the right path to avoid the tragedy. But they all chose the wrong one and landed up in trouble.

Life often places us at diverging roads. Its our choice which one to take. The risk is ours and even the consequences are ours.

Nandini

They both had no fault in this but they still suffered.

Viren Murthy

Viren had no fault anywhere. But still he was made evil in the eyes of his younger brother whom he loved like his own child.

He always had a lot of trust on Vivek. But the latter betrayed him. He broke his trust to such an extent that he started blaming himself.

Another guilt added to his miseries was when he believed his younger brother and helped him to elope with Sunaina whose life was later destroyed.

Nandini Murthy

Nandini was made a centre of sufferings. She was the one who suffered the most in all this, but irony being, that she never had any fault.

Losing love of her father, being kidnapped and molested to the extent of rape at the tender age of fifteen, then again losing her mother. All this took a great toll on her.

But she is a fighter.

She fought with her devils and came out stronger than ever. She made herself so strong that, no one could defeat her.

And her constant supoort from her family made her feel secured to do anything.

And at last her love. Her Manik. He became her backbone and she thrived.

This is a story which shows many aspects of life. And I hope so far I have been able to impose them on my readers.
