Mettaton Attacks!!!

8 ATK   999 DEF. His metal body renders his body invulnerable to attacks.

"YES, I WAS THE ONE THAT RE-ARRANGED THE CORE! I WAS THE ONE TO HIRE EVERYONE TO KILL YOU! THAT ,HOWEVER, WAS A SHORT-SIDED PLAN. YOU KNOW WHAT WOULD A HUNDRED TIMES BETTER? KILLING YOU MYSELF!!" He starts to monologue. This is the how-may-the monologue I've listened to so far? 

I shrug it off and hit MTT with the yellow heart lasers. They start bouncing off of him with no effect. Right, acting.

"THAT WORTHLESS PEA-SHOOTER WONT WORK ON ME, DARLING. DON'T YOU UNDERSTAND WHAT ACTING IS?"

Mettaton: Spare*  Run

Well, there's obviously more monologue. Time to start sparing. 

"LISTEN, DARLING. I'VE SEEN YOU FIGHT. YOU'RE WEAK. IF YOU CONTINUE FORWARD, ASGORE WILL TAKE YOUR SOUL. AND WITH YOUR SOUL, ASGORE WILL DESTROY HUMANITY."

He then starts to throw block-prop-bombs-whatevers at me and I doge and shoot. And remind myself of Mega Man. Gees, that game is like a legend. I'm off topic. [hp 20/20]

Mettatom: Spare*  Run

"BUT IF I GET YOUR SOUL, I CAN STOP ASGORE'S PLAN! I CAN SAVE HUMANITY FROM DESTRUCTION! THEN ,USING YOUR SOUL, I'LL CROSS THROUGH THE BARRIER. AND BECOME THE STAR I'VE ALWAYS DREAMED OF BEING! HUNDREDS, THOUSANDS... NO, MILLIONS OF HUMANS WILL WATCH ME! GLITZ! GLAMOUR! I'LL FINALLY HAVE IT ALL! SO WHAT IF A FEW PEOPLE HAVE TO DIE? THAT'S SHOW BUSINESS, BABY!" His monologue was cut short due to my phone ringing.

"U.. uh... I can't see what's going on there but... D-d-don't give up ,okay!? Th... there's o-one l-l-last way to beat Mettaton... It's... um... it's... This is a work in progress, so don't judge it too hard... But, you know how Mettaton always faces f-f-forward? That's because there's a switch on his backside. S-s-so if y-y-you c-c-can turn him around... um... And, um... press th-th-th-the switch... He'll be... uh... He'll be...  Vulnerable. Well, g-g-gotta go!" And she hangs up.

OK, weak spot. Why was she uncomfortable saying that?

Mettaton: Check  Turn*

"Hey! MTT! There's a mirror behind you!" I tell him

"OH??? A MIRROR??? RIGHT I HAVE TO LOOK PERFECT FOR OUR GRAND FINALE!" MTT exclaims and turns around, switch on his back to me," HMM... I DON'T SEE IT... WHERE IS IT...?" He asks. And then I flip the switch. He freezes, and then starts to talk again

"DID YOU. JUST FLIP. MY SWITCH?" He asks very slowly.

"Ah, no that was someone else." I say quickly. He then turns around and starts to freak out. The lights on his screen face and flashing in different patterns and then he... explodes. I know Alphys said he'd be vulnerable. Not dead. She can't be wrong, she's the Doctor. A voice cuts my train of thought.

"OOOOO YES." I hear MTT say. And then stage spot lights lower from the ceiling, and smoke machines are activated. Making this all super dramatic and suspenseful. And a silhouette appears in the smoke, appears to be very human. The music is playing, the suspense is building, I'm standing there with a One Punch Man face on.

"Ohhh my. If you flipped my switch, that can only mean one thing. You're desperate to see the premiere of my new body. How rude... Lucky for you, I've been aching to show this off for a long time. So... as thanks I'll give you a handsome reward. I'll make you last living moments... ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!" The smoke suddenly disappears and reveals Mettaton's new body, Mettaton EX.

Mettaton: Check* Boast  Pose  Heel turn

MTT EX- 8 ATK, 1 DEF. His weak point is his heart-shaped core. 

He starts dancing and trying to kick me with his legs. I stop them easily with a few jumps and laser shots. [HP 20/20]

"Hey Mettaton, I bet I wont get hurt at all." I say confidently.

He sends the mini metal MTTs at me and little bombs. I dodged the bombs but the mini MTTs throw these things at you once they pass you, I got hit by a few of those. But the big TVs in the stadium, they look like their numbers are rising. If I get those numbers to the max, will the battle stop?  I wonder. OK, I got a plan. I just gotta heal up first.

Bag:  Butterscotch Cinnamon Pie, Nice Cream x3, Starfait x4*

I quickly down one and I'm good to go. It also looks like the numbers are increasing to. Good. MTT throws some more mini MTTs and tries to kick me again. I only got hit once. [HP 12/20]

"Looks like it's pop quiz time. Hope you know what to say." MTT says and the question appears on the big screens.

What do you love most about Mettaton?

Oh... Is it bad I think I know that answer to this question? I sigh,"Legs so hot." I say simply. 

"Correct darling! Glad you noticed. And I get healed a little! [HP 13/20] (That answer does actually work)

Time to start skipping my turns.

"Your essay really showed everyone your heart. Why don't I show you mine?" He asks and then the pink heart core pops out of his belly and is shooting magic electricity at me! OH NO! I start to shoot at it with the yellow lasers. I start spamming the trigger and dodging , I'm pretty sure I missed most of the time, trying to avoid everything. But he does seem hurt. [HP 10/20]

A few more turns later (and some healing), he shows his heart core thing again. Only this time it has armor flying around it. I break through the armor in a few shots and resume spamming the trigger. but the armor keeps replacing itself so I have to stop spamming and aim. And I'm not very good at shooter games. But I hit him enough that his arms fall off! [HP 12/20]

Mettaton... he seems tired. He's pausing a lot. It might be because his dance moves are quicker. 

"L... Lights... C... Camera... Enough of this! Do you really what humanity to parish?! ... Or do you just believe in yourself that much?" He says. He's obviously mad at me. But what did I do to make him so mad? 

"Haha, how inspiring! Well, darling, it's either me or you! But I think we both already know who's going to win. Witness the true power of humanities star!" [HP 12/20]

Mettaton shows off the power core again. But now there's bombs guarding it and he's trying to kick me while I shoot the heart. But at the end of the turn, his legs fall of. [HP 10/20]

"Then... are YOU the star? Can you really protect humanity!?

MTT starts shooting rays of magic electricity from the power core and the lasers from the disco ball are faster. He really wants to kill me. [HP 10/20]

I down another and the ratings go up even more. I'm mostly eating this artificial garbage because it's making the ratings. MTT is still somehow throwing attacks at me. He is deathly quiet. [HP 20/20]

The ratings are almost at 1000 so I'll just end it here. The coolest way to end this... A dab. I dab in front of the cameras, the TVs, and Mettaton. The ratings are over that 1000 mark and the battle is over.

"OOOH! LOOK AT THOSE RATINGS! THIS IS THE MOST VIEWERS I'VE EVER HAD!!! WE'VE REACHED A VIEWER CALL-IN MILE STONE! ONE LUCKY VIEWER WILL HAVE A CHANCE TO TALK TO ME... BEFORE I LEAVE THE UNDERGROUND FOREVER!!! LET'S SEE WHO CALLS IN FIRST..." MTT says. I don't get it. You should not joke about death. Either for business or exaggeration, there is nothing worst that death.

MTT gets a caller.

"HI, YOU'RE ON TV! WHAT DO YOU HAVE TO SAY ON THIS, OUR LAST SHOW???"

I play some sad music on, trying to set a mood. 

"oh....................... hi... mettaton... i really liked watching you show... my life's berry boring... but... seeing you on the screen... brought excitement to my life... vicariously. i can't tell but... i guess this is the last episode...? i'll miss you... mettaton............ oh... i didn't mean to talk for so long... oh....................................." It was Napstablook's voice. Huh, so is MTT the cousin Napsta ws talking about. His words appeared to hurt him a lot.

"NO, WAIT! WAIT BL... H... THEY ALREADY HUNG UP. I'LL TAKE ANOTHER CALLER!!!"

"Mettaton, your show made up so happy!"

"Mettaton, I don't know what I'll watch without you."

"Mettaton, there's a Mettaton-shaped hole in my Mettaton-shaped heart."

All of these comments... They really hurt MTT. I can tell.

"AH... I... I SEE... EVERYONE... THANK YOU SO MUCH. DARLING. PERHAPS... IT MIGHT BE BETTER IF I STAY HERE FOR A WHILE. HUMANS ALREADY HAVE STARS AND IDOLS, BUT MONSTERS... THEY ONLY HAVE ME. IF I LEFT... THE UNDERGROUND WOULD LOOSE ITS SPARK. I'D LEAVE AN ACHING VOID THAT CAN NEVER BE FILLED. SO... I THINK I'LL HAVE TO DELAY MY DEBUT. BESIDES, YOU'VE PROVEN TO BE VERY STRONG. PERHAPS... EVEN STRONG ENOUGH TO GET PAST ASGORE. I'M SURE YOU'LL BE ABLE TO PROTECT HUMANITY. HA, HA... IT'S ALL FOR THE BEST, ANYWAY. THE TRUTH IS, THIS FORMS ENERGY CONSUMPTION IS... INEFFICIENT. IN A FEW MOMENTS I'LL RUN OUT OF BATTERY POWER, AND... WELL. I'LL BE ALRIGHT. KNOCK 'EM DEAD, DARLING. AND EVERYONE... THANK YOU. YOU'VE BEEN A GREAT AUDIENCE!" MTT said.

Cool, he isn't going to die. But... he's a robot... souldn't he die if he runs out of battery? Actually no, you can still recharge a phone if it runs out of battery. So it makes sense.  I answer my question.

"I... I manged to open the lock! Are you two..." Alphys rushes in and see MTT laying there,"Oh my god." She rushes over to him," Mettaton! Mettaton are you... thank GOD it's just batteries. Mettaton if you were gone, I would have... I would have... I m-mean, h-hey, it's n-no problem, you know? He's just a robot, if you messed it up, I c-could always... J-just build another... Why don't you go on ahead?" Alphys says. But I don't think she means it. I get it, MTT is a masterpiece. If he's destroyed, it could take months to repair.

I keep my thoughts to myself and walk out the back stage door.
