It's Over
Luke POV
I could hear sounds of battle from outside my body, but I wasn't interested in watching.
Kronos was going to win. No one could stop him.
I had tried multiple times to fight my way out, to at least earn a little more lee-way. It never worked.
/I'm almost to the throne room of the gods, Luke. Would you like to see me destroy their seats?/
I shrugged dejectedly.
/Oh, stop pouting. You wanted this too. I would not allow you to compromise the mission because you had feelings towards some of your enemies./ The Titan Lord of Time said the word 'feelings' like it was the most vile cuss imaginable.
I continued to ignore him. I heard him sigh in annoyance and his attention turned outward.
"Finally! The Olympian Council, so high and mighty! Which seat of power shall I destroy first?"
I rolled my eyes at his dramatics. I see where Zeus gets it from.
My consciousness received a vicious backhand to the imaginary face.
Shut up.
Someone woke up on the wrong side of the Styx-bathed host.
Castellan, shut up or I'll injure your body so when I leave you have do deal with several poison filled wounds.
I rolled my eyes again, thinking it strange that I could still do these things even if I'm just a blob of consciousness floating in what looks like a black room.
An image of Kronos appeared in my mental vision. Keep your mouth shut and let me do this the way that will end the war fastest and in the most amusing way to me.
Yessir. I responded sarcastically.
"KRONOS!" We looked up.
"Perseus Jackson." Kronos sneered, shoving my consciousness as far back as he could.
You're starting to act rather like the gods. I muttered mentally.
Shut. Up. He growled.
I didn't pay attention much to the fight that ensued, then I glanced towards the people and saw a flash of familiar blonde curls.
Annabeth?
Again I was pushed back, but this time I fought it. Annabeth was fighting an all powerful titan in my body. Gods that must have been tearing her up, seeing me, but not me.
"Family, Luke. You promised." The daughter of Athena that I had taken under my wing when I was fourteen was crying. She had a small slash across her cheekbone, oozing red blood.
Percy was lying behind her, defenseless and probably dazed from the way he was positioned. I suddenly wished I had paid attention to the fight at least so I would know why one of my best friends was facing my mistake.
My mistake.
Everything hit me so suddenly. This was wrong. I had been wrong. Now I had to fix it.
I shoved my way violently to the front of my mind, pushing past a very surprised Kronos.
"Annabeth?"
Her eyes glowed with hope, but tears continued to stream down her face.
"Annie, are you okay?"
She nodded and suddenly I was shoved sideways by a force.
Go back to your cage. Kronos snarled.
I fought him violently. No!
Kronos growled and shoved at me again, but I pushed him behind me with strength I didn't know I had.
"Quick, he's ready!"
I could feel the power rolling off the Titan. I explained to Annabeth and a still dazed Percy what needed to happen because of what Kronos was attempting.
As Annabeth and Percy debated, my eyes fell on Ethan. His stomach was bloody and his eyes lifeless. If I'd had enough control of my body, I would have cried.
Seeing Ethan reminded me of Leanne. Was she okay? If Ethan was here she either got away or she was dead. I prayed to every god I could think of that she was somewhere safe.
Percy shoved Annabeth's dagger into my hands. I nodded to him before positioning the dagger over my Achilles Spot, my armpit.
With a scream, Kronos tried one last attack to make me stop. But he was too late. The dagger peirced my flesh and I began to writhe in pain.
"Percy..." I croaked. The son of Poseidon bent over me. "Me...Ethan, the unclaimed....do-don't let i-it happen....again."
Percy nodded and assured me he wouldn't. I breathed a sigh of relief.
Slowly my world went black.
