Epilogue

Luke POV

I had been ushered into the Judgement line. After a long and terrifying trial, the judges had decided that I should be in Elysium.

I hadn't seen Ethan anywhere.

Time didn't matter here, so I didn't try to keep track of it.

Once the guard-skeleton things had shown me where I'd live in Elysium, I'd found the nearest beach.

For a while I contemplated if I could drown myself.

What would happen if I tried? I was already dead.

The sun began to set on the horizon.

Was it a mist image? The sun didn't reach the Underworld.

I could faintly hear people talking on the beach.

A couple passed by, completely ignoring the lonely blond boy staring out to sea with a sad look in his eyes.

At second glance I realized that it was Silena, my little spy and her deceased boyfriend, Beckendorf.

A small part of me smiled at the fact that they were back together. Silena didn't seem to care where she was as long as she was with the huge son of Hephaestus.

More footsteps crunched in the sand and I watched as Michael Yew and Lee Fletcher chased each other about, a girl of about thirteen with light brown hair and blue eyes running and laughing with them.

I remembered her name too. Being one of the oldest demigods at camp meant knowing all the deaths.

She was a daughter of Apollo. Her name was Marie Hamaya.

I remembered her death. The poor girl had stumbled into camp, blood covering her side. The moment she was in the infirmary, where I was being treated for a burn from the lava wall, Apollo claimed her.

She died four minutes later, but Lee and Michael had gotten close to her in that short time.

Now they were re-united.

Apparently the beach was the place to be if you had died in the Titan War, I saw many campers who had perished because of my actions.

One of the twin sons of Dionysus, Castor Gemini, sent me a sad smile, seeming to know what I was going through.

I saw Daedalus talking with a woman who I didn't recognize, one in her early twenties. She was a daughter of Athena, judging by the blonde hair and sparkling grey eyes.

A daughter of Athena.

I faced the water again, holding back tears. Apparently ghosts could cry, I felt hot streaks streaming down my face no matter what I did to stop them.

Someone tapped my shoulder.

"Please leave me alone." I asked quietly, not bothering to look up at whoever it was.

Probably some demigod come to chew me out for my decisions.

My mistakes.

"Never thought I'd hear a son of Hermes ask for something politely." My head shot up at the familiar voice and hope sprouted in my chest.

I turned slowly to look up into a familiar pair of cloud grey eyes.

Leanne smiled and pointed to the sand next to me.

"Can I sit here?"
