Next day

Everything was going normal. I have been behaving normally. My brothers were behaving normally. The only thing that was not normal was Kai's absence at school today. He was not the skipper kind of guy; he would only skip school when it was necessary. So, this was kind of not normal.

But For some reason, his absence was making me feel at ease because it was helping me to ignore or you can say avoid the whole mafia thing. If Kai would have been here then he would have reminded me about my brothers being mafia and right now, I was just not ready for that. I don't even know if I will be ever ready for that. But whatever. I decided— no, I choose to live in present without thinking about things that make me feel depressed.

Anyway, right now I was doing lunch in the cafeteria with Black pink and IU. IU was telling us how she has started Therapy to understand herself better.

IU: I'm sorry for my behaviour a few days ago.

She said looking at Lisa and me.

Y/N: Hey, you don't have to say sorry for that.

IU: I do. After visiting the therapist, I realized what I did was wrong. I realized that I had become the worst version of myself in past few years. I have hurt many people in the process to keep Jungkook to myself.

She let out a heavy sigh.

IU: I think I also need to say sorry to Jungkook. I knew he was not happy in the relationship but instead of letting him go, I kept clinging to him. You guys were right, I had become a jealous, clingy and insecure girlfriend because I was afraid, he will leave me someday.

Lisa puts her hand on IU's hand to comfort her.

Lisa: Hey, you were just doing that for your parents' love and their attention. So, don't beat yourself thinking about it

She nodded with a small sad smile.

Lisa: By the way, did you talk to your parents about your breakup?

IU: Yeah, I did. At first, they were angry but when I told them that I have started therapy for my mental health, they became worried. So, I told them everything and they understand my situation. They realized their mistake.

Y/N: So, you and your parents are cool now?

IU: Yeah. They are spending more time with me now.

Jisoo: That's good news.

Jennie: So, are you gonna quit therapy or gonna keep continue?

IU: I think I will continue for a while. It is making me feel better. I finally started to feel like my old self.

Rose: I glad that you are feeling good now.

IU: I also wanna say thank you to you guys. You guys are good friends. You all have helped me move on from my breakup.

Jennie: Of course, babe! You won't find beautiful, sexy, supportive friends like us anywhere.

Jennie said flipping her hair while her lips stretched in a goofy smile. We all rolled our eyes at her statement while IU giggled.

Lisa: You are also a good friend. We are happy that you joined our group.

She told IU.

In the middle of a conversation, Lisa's phone started ringing. When she checked a caller ID, her face broke into a big smile.

Lisa: Jinyoung is face timing me!

She quickly turned to us.

Lisa: How do I look?!

Jennie: You look smoking hot, babe!

She said, giving Lisa a wink in end.

Rose shook her head at Jennie's comment before looking at Lisa.

Rose: You look beautiful.

And we all chimed with her and gave green light to Lisa so that she can facetime with Jinyoung.

Lisa and Jinyoung started doing facetime. After some talking, she introduced him to Black pink and IU. He said hi to everyone. Then Lisa turned her phone at me for me to greet him.

Jinyoung: Hey, Y/N! How are you?

Y/N: I'm good—

Before I could finish, I heard some noises of falling something and yelling like "Are you talking with, Y/N?!" from another side of the call. From voice, I could tell it was Jackson. After a second, Jackson appeared on the phone screen, smiling brightly.

Jackson: Hey, Y/N! How are you?! How have you been doing?!

I laughed when I saw Jinyoung rolling his eyes at Jackson. He looked so done with him.

Y/N: I'm good! How are you doing?!

I greeted him in the same exciting tone as him.

Jackson: I was doing bad but now that I'm talking with you, I'm doing amazing now.

We all girls giggled at his response.

Y/N: Glad to hear!

Jackson: So, how have you been? Did you miss me? Because I have been missing you so much lately.

He was so excited and happy that I was feeling like I was talking with a little child.

I laughed before answering him.

Y/N: Of course, I missed you and that ice cream that you were going to buy for me.

I replied to him with a fake sad pout in joking manners.

Jackson: Really?! Then let's go today! I'll take you on an ice cream date!

Y/N: Oh, I can't. I'm busy.

Jackson smiled turned upside down.

Jackson: Then tomorrow?

Y/N: I don't think I can. I'm sorry.

I was feeling bad to refuse his offer because he was a great guy, but I had to think about the gangs that were keeping their eyes on me. I didn't think it was safe for me to go.

Jackson: Ah, it's okay. By the way, why aren't you accepting my request on Instagram?!

Y/N: Oh! I'm sorry. I didn't see it.

Jackson: Liar.

All of a sudden, he put his head on Jinyoung's shoulder—who was standing beside him with a straight face—and started fake sobbing like he was going through the saddest heartbreak.

Jackson: Just tell me if you don't like me and I'll leave this city.

He said, whipping away imaginary tears.

Jinyoung pushed his head away from him.

Jinyoung: Stop being a drama queen. It's making me want to punch you in the face.

Again, we all girls laughed at those two.

Y/N: I'm not lying, Jackson. I just get so many requests every day that I kind of stopped seeing those notifications.

He turned to look at me all serious.

Jackson: Are they all boys?

Y/N: Most of them are. Why? Are you jealous?

I asked wiggling my eyebrows at him.

Jackson: Nope. I have your attention now so why would I be jealous.

He shrugged and gave me smug smile.

Y/N: Wow!

I didn't know what to say. I was surprised by his answer.

Jackson: So now will accept my request? If you don't want to accept my request, then give me your phone number so we can discuss about our ice-cream date.

I heard a few gasps and a few giggles around our table due to his boldness. I was also taken aback by him, but I knew this was a joke to him. He loves flirting and I knew it, but it still made my heart skip a bit for a second.

Jennie: If she doesn't then I'll give you her number!

Jennie said, suddenly popping her head in front of the phone so he can see her.

Jackson: Oh, thank you! I will forever be in your debt.

Jennie: Haha! No problem! Should I tell you right now?

Y/N: Guys, chill. I'll accept your request on insta.

Jackson & Jennie: Oh, okay!

I opened the Instagram app to accept his request. Once I was done, I showed him.

Y/N: Done!

Jackson: Ah! Thank you!

Y/N: Now give the phone back to Jinyoung. He probably wants to talk with Lisa.

I told Jackson.

Jinyoung: Oh finally! Thank you, Y/N!

I smiled and gave a phone back to Lisa.

Lisa and Jinyoung got busy chatting. And we got busy whispering about Jackson.

Rose: Girl, he likes you!

Rose whispered to me.

Y/N: Nah. He just likes flirting with everyone and anyone.

I whispered back.

IU: Are you sure? Because I think he's into you.

Y/N: Yeah, last time I check he was into mannequins.

I said, remembering how he started flirting with mannequins in malls.

IU: Huh?

Y/N: Um, Nothing. He just likes joking around a lot so don't take him seriously.

Jennie: I like him. You should definitely go out with him.

I scoffed.

Y/N: Have you seen my brothers?

Jisoo: Right! No date for you then.

IU: By the way, Y/N, I need your help.

Y/N: Sure! What is it?

IU: I want to say sorry to Jungkook.

Y/N: Okay?

IU: But he doesn't talk to me so can you help me?

Y/N: Of course! I'll do it right now!

IU: Thank you!

I texted Jungkook telling him to meet me in our homeroom class.

Jungkook glanced in my direction when he checked his phone before texting me back.

Jungkook: Is everything okay?

Y/N: Yeah, just meet me there, please.

Jungkook stood up and walked out of the cafeteria. IU and I also got out of the cafeteria. When we entered class, we saw Jungkook seating on a desk in an empty room. He frowned when he saw me with IU.

Jungkook: What is she doing here?

His voice was filled with hatred.

Y/N: Oppa, she wants to say something to you. So please give her a chance.

IU: Jungkook, I'm sorry. I'm sorry for everything. I knew you weren't happy in our relationship, but I still kept clinging on to you... You were one of the best things that happened to me in my life and that is why I got possessive and jealous of you. But I have realized my mistake so please forgive me for everything. I'm really sorry for putting you through all this.

Jungkook looked unbothered by her. He was standing with a straight expressionless face. So, I cleared my throat to catch his attention. He glanced at me. I mouthed "Please" to him. His eyes again fell back on IU.

Jungkook: I forgive you. I also wanna say sorry for hurting you.

He looked uncomfortable apologizing.

IU sadly smiled.

IU: It's ok. I also wanted to return some of the things that you bought me as a present.

She started taking out things from her bag. There were many jewelry boxes and some expensive-looking decorative items and other things that I didn't know what they were.

JK: You don't have to return all these things.

IU: Nah, I want to. They are valuable things so I can't keep them.

When she emptied her bag, she spoke up.

IU: Um, once again sorry and thank you. And, Um, bye.

She walked out of the room.

JK: Now what am I supposed to do all these things?

He asked me, looking at things that were piled up on the desk.

Y/N: I don't know.

I shrugged.

Y/N: But thank you for doing this, Oppa.

He smiled.

Jungkook: Anything for my sister. By the way, I see you guys have become good friends.

Y/N: Yeah, I hope you don't mind.

Jungkook: Of course not! As long as she doesn't bother you, I'm good with it.

Y/N: Thank you!

Some of you keep asking me on YouTube for IU's closer so I wrote it. I know It's not best or anything. It might not satisfy you but because of lack of time, I didn't want to spend so much time behind IU's character. Hope you understand because right now my only goal is to finish this book as quickly as possible.
