Clinking and clanking.

The sound of Utensils against plates. The only sound I'm hearing right now at the dining table and it is kind of bothering me a little bit. Everyone is so quiet today, no one is saying any word. they all kept eating their food quietly.

I think this is the first time BTS has been this quite at the dinner table. Even mom and dad are also quiet, it's like they can feel the heavy air in the dining room, and they didn't want to disturb it by speaking. I know BTS is still upset about earlier because it's written all over on their faces. Well, guess what, I am upset too.

Upset at the fact that they tried to control my life. No one ever has tried to control my life or my choices. I know it is not a big deal, but I didn't like the fact that they tried to take away my freedom of choice.

It's not like I want a boyfriend because I actually don't. But them saying that I can't have one, makes me want to find myself a boyfriend, just to show them that they are not the boss of me.

I want to rebel against them.

Mom: Y/N, why aren't you eating, sweetie? Is everything alright?

Y/N: I'm not really hungry.

I answered without looking at her, going back to my thoughts as I play with my food, with a fork.

Dad: What's the matter, Y/N?

Y/N: Uh nothing.

J-hope: Actually, dad we wanted to talk to you about her being homeschooled.

My eyes quickly snapped at him, but he was looking at dad for approval.

Jungkook: Yeah, I think it is safer for her.

I snapped my eyes at Jungkook, who is sitting beside me.

Dad: Weren't you against that idea this morning, Jungkook?

Jungkook: I was wrong but now I think it is better if she stays home.

He looked at me when he finished his sentence. I can see his eyes were filled with determination, as he looks at me like I lost the game.

I bitterly laughed and leaned back on the chair.

Y/N: Wow, did I hurt your guys' ego that much?

Now all eyes were looking at me like I disrespect them by saying that. Both of them glared at me with unreasonable anger.

Mom: Y/N! What's with that attitude? They are just trying to keep you safe.

Mom scolded me and looked at everyone with an apologetic face.

If only you knew, mom.

Jimin: I think we also have to hire a teacher to teach her some manners.

I glared at him and he glared right back at me, no one backing down.

Mom: Y/N...

I finally looked away from Jimin to look at mom,

Y/N: Mom, I am not staying at home.

V: But you are not safe outside.

I narrowed my eyes at him.

Y/N: Since when did you start caring for me?

Mom: Y/N!

I looked at her and she eyed me like she wanted to say 'behave' through her eyes.

V: Since the day you became my sister.

He said it politely, but we all know he doesn't really care about my safety, he cares more about showing his power.

Dad: Y/N, I think it is a better idea to stay home until we find your stalker, after that you can join your school again.

Mom: Yeah, I also think it is a good idea.

Y/N: There is no stalker, mom. It was Kai who sent me all those stuff.

Her eyes suddenly narrowed at me.

Mom: What do you mean? Is he here?

I can hear boiling anger behind her curious voice. Yes, she knew everything about me and Kai. She was really angry when she got to knew that Kai cheated on me, she wanted to come to my school to just scold him, but I stopped her, so I won't get embarrassed in front of the whole school.

Dad: Who is Kai?

He looked curiously at mom and then at me.

I inhale deeply before replying to them.

Y/N: My ex. And yes, he is here and he's also in my class.

Mom: How dare he?! I'm f*cking going to kill that guy. He thinks—

Y/N: Whoa, mom relax. I'll deal with him.

I can feel everyone's eyes on mom, I looked at their faces and I can say that they were not expecting this reaction from her. My mom is a nice sweet type of person and she barely gets angry but when it comes to me getting hurt by someone then she loses her temper. She loves me too much since I was her only family for a long time, so I think this is expected from her.

Dad: What's his last name?

I looked at him in confusion.

Y/N: Um, Kim...

He quickly took out his iPhone and started calling someone. Mom and I kept looking at him with confused eyes.

Dad: Can you run a background check on Kai Kim—

Mom: His real name is Kim Jongin.

Mom quickly cut dad at midsentence when he was talking with someone on the phone. It seems like she knew what he was doing. Dad nodded at mom and continued his conversation on the phone.

Dad: His real name is Kim Jongin.

He then hangs up and puts his phone aside.

Y/N: What just happened?

Jimin: He called his man to check up on your man, duh.

Y/N: He is not my man!

RM: Oh, then why did you protect him today?

Y/N: Because that's what decent human beings do!

Dad: What did you all do?

He looked at BTS with a hard look. BTS quickly avert their eyes from dad as they tried to look anywhere but at him. I even heard some gulping across the dining table. I would have answered him but after seeing BTS act like cute guilty puppies, I felt bad for them, so I didn't say anything.

Dad: Jin, what happed at school?

Jin uncomfortably shifts in his chair and looked at dad.

Jin: Um, nothing really. It's just that J-hope beat up that Kai guy because he was alone with Y/N on the rooftop, so J-hope thought that she was in danger and attacked him.

Dad: How bad?

J-hope: Only a few punches.

Dad's tensed muscled loosen up a little after hearing J-hope's answer. he looked somewhat relieved.

Dad: Okay but from next time no more fighting at school, understand?

J-hope nodded.

Dad: And Y/N, what were you doing on the rooftop with him?

Now his all attention was on me.

Y/N: Nothing, I just wanted to talk to him.

Dad: About?

Y/N: To ask him why he was here.

He looked at me for a few seconds before nodding and then looked at BTS.

Dad: I want you all to keep an eye on him.

Jimin: Yes dad, don't worry.

Suga: But we still don't know if he's the stalker or not.

Jin: Yeah, until then she should stay home.

Dad: Yeah, I'll call—

Y/N: No, I'm not staying at home and I think Kai sent me those gifts.

Jungkook: Then if it is him then you better stay home until he goes back to where he came from.

Y/N: Why?

Jungkook: Because I don't trust that guy.

Jimin: Yeah me neither, he looks like a freak and as long as he is in our school, I can't let my dear sister go to school and put her life in danger.

For a second I was bewildered by seeing his sudden care for me but then I realized that he was just acting.

Damn, you are really good, brother.

Y/N: But don't you think I'll be safe under your guys' watch and especially if my dear brother, Jimin stays by my side at school then I don't think anyone will dare to hurt me. Right Oppa?... You will be able to protect me, right?

Jimin looks at me dumbfounded.

Jimin: Uhh

I slightly smirk, knowing that he can't say no because his pride is on a line but if he says yes then his brothers will be mad at him.

He looks at his brothers and then me.

Jimin: Um, yeah of course, I can protect you.

J-hope: But Jimin-ah—

Y/N: Okay then it's decided that Jimin Oppa will look after me when I'm at school.

I quickly said before anyone can say anything.

Dad: Y/N, are you sure about this?

Y/N: Yes dad. I think I'll be fine.

Next day

I rested my head against the window and closed my eyes. Feeling peaceful when "Trampoline" song started playing through my earphones. It made me forget uncomfortable ride to school with my brothers.

They all are still ignoring me and whenever my eyes accidentally met theirs, they would glare at me before looking away. I won't say that it didn't affected me because it did affect me. I felt hurt. I thought they loved me but...

I sighed and looked out of the window. I don't understand what to do. I'm still a little angry at them just because they are angry at me. It's like I was reflecting their emotions back. I think I am a "forgive and forget" type of person. I usually—keyword 'USUALLY'—don't hold grudges because when a new day comes, my passion AKA anger or hatred disappears, or it decreases significantly.

So right now, I'm not really angry at BTS for yesterday because I think they just want to protect me, I know their way is wrong, but intensions are not. So, I would start talking to them if they talk to me first.

Car came to stop when we reach a parking lot. Everyone got out, so did I and started walking alone. But I came to stop when I felt someone's hold on my both hands.

I quickly looked over my right shoulder and saw Jungkook holding my right hand while looking at me with a pissed look. I quickly avert my eyes and looked over the left shoulder and saw Jimin holding my left hand awkwardly. I pulled my hands away from their holds and turn around to face them.

Y/N: Yes?

Jungkook: Stay by my side—

Jimin cleared his throat to catch Jungkook's attention.

Jungkook: I mean our side.

Jimin: Yeah, don't wander off alone like a little kid. Remember it is my responsibility to look after you so from now on stay by our side, understand?

He tried to give me a threatening look, but he was failing miserably at it because he could not look at my face. I think he was feeling uncomfortable with this new role of bodyguard.

Y/N: Okay.

Jungkook: Let's go.

We started walking and V followed us behind while the other four went to other buildings. We reach in front of my first class, so I turn around and said, "Thank you" before entering class, Jungkook followed me behind quietly.

My eyes quickly started scanning the room for Kai, but he was not here. So, I went to my seat and started taking out my stuff.

Lisa: Hey, girl! What's up?

She came and sat on the empty chair beside me because Jungkook went to talk with his friends.
