Dinner time

??: Y/N, dinner is ready...

Y/N stopped watching her youtube videos and looked at a closed door.

Y/N: I'm not hungry.

??: Can I come in?

Y/N: I'm a little busy, Namjoon Oppa.

She lied. She wasn't ready to see him—or anyone—yet. She was still a little Shaken by an earlier incident. Despite her saying no, RM opened her door anyway and entered. He hesitantly walked up to Y/N's bed and sat on the edge of the bed at the end. He took a deep breath and asked.

RM: Did we go too far with punishment?

Y/N placed her MacBook aside and sit up while avoiding eye contact with RM. She took a deep breath and answered.

Y/N: Yes

RM looked down and replied in a defeated voice.

RM: We just wanted to punish them for what they did to you.

Y/N: I know...

She also looked down at her lap because she didn't know what to say. She should be happy that her brothers did that for her but she couldn't help but feel slightly terrorize by them.

Y/N: I'm sorry but It's just... I didn't like the way maknaes manhandled those girls. It scared me a little.

RM looked at her.

RM: But they did it for you, Y/N. They did it because they care for you. I know they—no, we got little carried away in the process but trust me we didn't mean to scare you.

The wave of guilt passed over Y/N like a fog in the forest. she felt bad because she was the reason they acted that way. she was the one to blame. She should be saying thank you to them for taking revenge on behalf of her but instead, she was acting like little b*tch.

Y/N: I know, Oppa. I'm sorry for being a jerk.

RM went close to her and hugged her.

RM: It is not your fault, Y/N. It is our fault for losing our control in front of you. Please forgive us.

He let her go and looked at her face with hopeful eyes.

She smiled and nodded.

RM: Now let's go downstairs, everyone must be waiting for us.

They both went downstairs where everyone was sitting at the dining table. Her unpleasant feelings toward her brothers were back when she saw their faces. She kept telling herself that she was just overreacting but her mind didn't want to accept it. It kept telling her to run away from them but she knew she couldn't.

She saw an empty chair beside Jungkook and another empty chair beside Suga so she walked up and took a seat beside Suga. She felt others' eyes on her but she ignored them and kept looking down at her dish. She knew that everyone was surprised that she didn't sit beside Jungkook like always but she had her reasons. She was still terrified of Jungkook and she wasn't ready to face him yet.

Suga: Are you okay, Y/N?

He whispered. Y/N nodded and started eating her food quietly.

Outside after a few minutes

Mom: Are you okay, Y/N?

Y/N: Yes mom. I'm just missing you. When are you coming back?

She smiled and replied.

Mom: In a few days, sweetie.

Y/N: please come fast.

Mom: Yes but until then please take care of yourself. You look like you have been sick for a while.

Y/N: Mom, I'm good. It just looks like that way because of lightings. I'm perfectly fine. Anyway, I gotta go so bye, cya.

She lied. she didn't want to tell her a real reason why she was feeling down. She also didn't want to tell her mom about her being bullied because she knew her mom will get worried.

Mom: Oh okay. Bye, take care.

Y/N ended her call and sat quietly on the porch swing. After a few minutes, she felt someone sitting beside her on a swing so she looked at that person. When she saw him, she stood up and was about to leave the porch. But he holds her wrist, stopping her from leaving.

Jungkook: I'm sorry.

She still didn't look at him.

Jungkook: I'm sorry Y/N, I'm sorry for behaving that way... I got a little carried away at that moment... I won't do it again.

She finally looked at him but he was looking down at his feet in guilt. She felt bad for making him feel guilty for the thing he did for her. She sighed and sat beside him.

Y/N: But you have to promise me that from now on you will control your anger.

Jungkook looked at her with a guilty expression.

Jungkook: I'll try.

He sighed and looked away from Y/N's face. Her guilt was increasing when she saw Jungkook avoiding her eye contact.

Y/N: I'm sorry...it's just that when you were manhandling that girl, you reminded me of my mom's ex-boyfriend who used to abuse me and my mom.

He quickly looked at her with concern.

Jungkook: Abuse?

His face suddenly changed into an emotionless face when he realized that someone has hurt Y/N in past. Now again his demon wanted to come out to take revenge.

Jungkook: What is his name?

His voice was now rough as he looked at her with dead eyes. She involuntary took a small step back and pointed at Jungkook's face with a panic.

Y/N: See! This is the face I dont like to see. You look damn scary when you are angry.

Jungkook was shocked by her actions.

Jungkook: What face?

Y/N: This expressionless face.

She wanted to say a psychopathic face but it may anger him more so she used safeword instead. Jungkook knew exactly what she was talking about and he felt bad that he showed his other side to her.

Jungkook: Sorry

He flashed smiled at her to make her feel at ease.

Y/N: Now this is the face I like to see...

Jungkook giggled at her for acting childish.

Jungkook: So who was that person?

This time he asked it more softly. She sat back and looked at the dark sky.

Y/N: He used to come home drunk and then he would beat my mom and when my ten-year-old self tried to save her, he would start beating me too.

Jungkook: What's his name?

This time he asked more firmly but not too firmly where Y/N feel alarmed. Y/N looked at Jungkook and smiled.

Y/N: It doesn't matter anymore. We already punished him by sending him to jail for his deeds so relax.

Jungkook: His name?

She sighed in defeat and looked up at the sky.

Y/N: I know why you are asking...but he is a changed man now and I dont want anything happens to him. also I dont held any grudges against him anymore, So please stop asking.

Jungkook sighed and looked at the sky.

Jungkook: Only this time.

They stayed like that for a few minutes before Y/N broke the silence.

Y/N: Oppa

Jungkook: Hmm

Y/N: About those girls' fathers, where they really bad guys?

Jungkook looked at Y/N but didn't say anything. instead, he kept staring at her with an unreadable expression. Y/N was feeling a little nervous seeing him staring at her like that.

I know I shouldn't have asked this question. Stupid Y/N! She scolded herself because now she was regrating for asking that question.

Jungkook: What do you think?

Y/N: I... I dont know.

Jungkook chuckles and holds her hand delicately in between his hands as he answered.

Jungkook: We dont go after innocent people, Y/N. They were criminals, so we just helped authorities to find those evidence against them and just like that we got our sweet revenge.

It felt like heavyweight lifted off from Y/N shoulder when she heard that. It was like she can finally breathe openly, freely. her worries were now gone knowing that her brothers helped a government to catch criminals with their powers and nothing else.

They are not that bad after all. She thought to herself. before this her mind was kept running wild with unrealistic scenarios about her brothers' occupations but now knowing that her brothers helped cops to catch criminals, her mind was feeling at ease.

Next day

Y/N was walking downstairs for breakfast.

J-hope: Good morning, Y/N.

She turns around and saw J-hope walking toward her with a big smile.

Y/N: Good morning.

She replied with a smile and stood there so J-hope can catch up to her.

J-hope: What's your plan for today?

J-hope asked when he caught up to her and they both continued to walk downstairs.

Y/N: Fanfictions.

He gave her a weird look.

J-hope: About whom?

Y/N: About you.

His eyes popped out like they were almost ready to fall out of his eye socket from shock.

J-hope: F-For real?

Y/N started laughing seeing J-hope's terrified face. He looked legit scared.

Y/N: Your...your face...

She pointed at his face and kept laughing.

Y/N: I'm sorry to inform you, brother but you are not yet famous enough to have stories written about you by your fans.

She said it when she finally calmed down.

J-hope: Yah! What are you saying, I'm famous? In the near future, people will start writing stories about me.

Y/N snorted.

Y/N: Oppa why—

??: Why are you so butthurt about it, hyung. It's better that no one has written a fanfic about you.

They looked back and saw Jimin coming down.

J-hope: What do you mean?

Jimin: Have you ever read any fanfic before?

J-hope: No but I have heard many crazy things about it.

Jimin: Exactly. They write the craziest sh*t in fanfic.

Y/N: So you are saying that you have read fanfic before?

Jimin was taken aback by Y/N's question.

Jimin: What! No! Of course not!

Y/N smirked at his flushed face.

J-hope: Y/N, you should never read that carp, understand? It is a bad influence on your innocent brain.

Suddenly his tone changed to an authoritative big brother's tone.

Y/N: But didn't you wanted to be the main character of fanfic, a few seconds ago?

Jin: What you guys are talking about?

They followed the sound and saw Jin sitting at the dining table with RM, JK, V and Suga.

Y/N: Nothing!

She quickly replied with a smile.

RM: You look like you're in a good mood today, Y/N.

Y/N: Yeah, I am for some unknown reason.

She replied nonchalantly as she took a seat beside Jungkook.

V: Who wanted to be the main character of a fanfic?

He asked with curiosity.

Jimin: Hobi hyung.

He replied with a chuckle.

J-hope: No! I never said that!

Y/N: Yes you did, just a few minutes ago.

Y/N smirked.

J-hope narrowed his eyes at Y/N but then his lip curved up from one side as he looked at her with a mischievous smirk.

J-hope: Do you guys know that Y/N reads fanfictions?

V: I'm not surprised.

J-hope: Dont you guys think it is bad for her since most of them are 18+?

Jin: Y/N, you read 18+ fanfiction?!

Jin looked shocked by this new information.

Y/N: What! No! Never.

She lied to save her ass from getting embarrassed in front of her bothers.

Jungkook: Good. You should never read them, okay?

J-hope: But didn't you said that you are going to read them when I asked you about what you are planning to do the whole weekend.

He made the face of the innocent puppy when he said that but when everyone's attention turned to Y/N, he smirked at her in amusement.

Y/N: I never said that! I only said that I was going to read fanfic just to mess with Hobi Oppa... I was just joking with him.

She replied.

Suga: You better be joking.

He said it firmly.

Y/N: Hehe...yeah I was...

She awkwardly laughed at her so-called joke to prove the point that she was joking.

RM: So what are your actual plans for today?

Y/N felt relieved when they finally moved on from fanfic topic.

Y/N: Drama and chill.

Jimin: For a second I thought she meant Netflix and chill.

He chuckled.

Jin: Yah! Eat your food, Mochi.

RM: Yeah, she is too young for Netflix and chill.

Y/N gave them disapproval looks but then she thought of something that made her smirk.

Y/N: Um, Oppa what is Netflix and chill?

She looked at them like an innocent five-year-old girl who has no clue what that words meant.

Now everyone looked a little uncomfortable with her question.

Jin: Um, it's...it—

Jungkook: It means watch Netflix and chill, duh.

He replied in a duh tone like it was obvious.

Y/N: Ohhh...

She made a face like she now understands the meaning of that slang. Others looked relieve when Y/N didn't ask much and started eating.

Y/N started laughing to herself when she thought that they fell for her innocence.

everyone looked at her in confusion.

Y/N: Do you guys really think I am a five-year-old girl?... I know what that slang means, I was just messing with you all.

She again laughed at their naiveness. They all looked at her with a shocked expression. They actually fell for her innocent face.

J-hope: I guess you are not as innocent as we thought you to be.

Y/N: Duh

RM: Did you ever had a boyfriend, Y/N?

Y/N turned serious when she heard that question because it reminded her of him.

Y/N: Yes

J-hope: But he is your ex now, right?

Y/N nodded and started playing with her food with a spoon, trying not to feel sad.

Jin: Good because you are not allowed to date anyone until you turned twenty years old. Understand?

Y/N gave him a look.

Y/N: Really Oppa? Now, are you gonna act like an overprotective big brother?

Jungkook: Not only him but we all are so you better not date anyone unless you want that boy dead.

Y/N: Whatever

She didn't want to fight them back because she knows that they are powerful people and going against them is like walking on fire with bare feet and she didn't want to deal with that. also, for now, her main goal is to study so she wasn't even planning to date anyone anyway.
