Day 11
"I'm going to stay with Kakashi. Is that alright with you?" [Name] asked Pein, who was sitting on the couch. Her bags were already packed and sitting in her room.
Pein sighs, looking down at his adorable daughter playing with her blocks. "Honestly no but, who am I to tell you what to do."
"Thank you Pein," the mother says. "Thank you for being an adult for once."
Pein rolls his eyes. "Anyways, since you're leaving, is there anything I should be aware of? Are they allergic to anything? If [D.Name] becomes fussy what should I do?"
"Um...," [Name] took a breath and prepared herself for all the things she needed to inform Pein about. "No they aren't allergic to anything but [S.Name] hates broccoli, onions, and tomatoes however [D.Name] loves all her vegetables. When [D.Name] gets whiny that means she's ready for a nap. She likes being rocked to sleep and being held but don't you dare spoil her and let her sleep in the bed with you. I can't stress that enough Pein. She's a big girl now, so she needs to sleep in her own bed."
She takes another deep breath. "Also, if you let them play with their toys, they need to clean it up, not you. You're not their slave, you're their father. If [S.Name] is being rude, or bad, then punish him don't appease him. He needs to learn to be a gentleman not a whiny baby. If the weather is good, take them to the park or take them to the beach, take them somewhere. Don't keep them cooped up inside all day. I'm not trying to have my kids be introverts like you. Everything else should be pretty self explanatory."
Pein closes his eyes. "I think I got it. But just to make sure, say it a second time for me?"
"Ugh! If you have any questions call or text me, okay?" She says, moving towards her room to collect her bags. Pein follows after her.
"So you're really going?" He asks, leaning against the doorframe. Her back is turned towards him as she lifts her bags.
"Yes I am," she says, turning around. "By the way, you can sleep in my bed if you wish."
Pein nods as [Name] squeezes past him to enter the hallway. He follows her to the door as well.
"Do you really hate me that much you'd rather live with your rebound for a week?" He asks rhetorically. "Speaking of him, did you even ask to stay over?"
[Name] sighs dramatically. "Pein, you'll always be my first love, so there'll always be love for you somewhere in my heart. Now please, for the love of god, let me leave."
"Fine," he says.
The mother opens the door, waving to her ex husband. "Goodbye Pein."
"Goodbye [Name]."
...
[Name] knocked on Kakashi's front door, hoping today was his day off. She didn't know his schedule, and he didn't know hers either.
After five minutes of knocking, she figured he wasn't inside.
"I know he has an extra key around here somewhere," she says setting her two suitcases down.
She checked under nearby rocks and under the welcome mat, but his house key wasn't there.
[Name] thought of calling and asking him, but didn't want to bother him if he's helping a patient.
The mother sighs, walking around the house to the backyard. It was a modern house, the squarish kind with unnecessary, excessive, and tall windows. It had a large garage and giant white steps leading to a rectangular pool in the back.
I wonder how late he works. [Name] thinks as she walks down the steps to the pool. Did I bring my swim suit with me?
...
Kakashi was called in this morning. Originally it was his day off, but being a doctor meant unpredictable hours.
At his job he had to help manage a patient's health, examine and test patients, give patients a diagnosis after those tests and so many other little things.
He was a physician trained in surgery. More specifically, Kakashi was a cardio-thoracic surgeon. Anything that had to do with the heart, lungs, esophagus, blood vessels and other organs in the thoracic cavity, he did surgery on.
He was a damn good surgeon and most people at the hospital admired him. Whether for his looks or his skills, they love him.
He had met with his last patient — an Uchiha, whose family has a long history of heart disease — and was on his way back home.
When Kakashi did arrive home, he had to park on the street since an unknown yet familiar black car was sitting in his driveway. He exits his car and pulls out his keys. He wasn't expecting any visitors today, or any day to be honest.
Pakkun, Kakashi's dog, was barking in fear or maybe excitedly from the backyard. Kakashi followed Pakkun's little yips until he could see his dog standing at the edge of the pool.
The dog's tail was wagging back and forth, his paw beating the surface of the water. Kakashi then noticed two suitcases placed at the back door and clothes scattered on the ground.
He looked back at the pool, slowly approaching it. The wind caused mini waves to form at the surface of the water, and under the small ripples emerged [Name].
She spat out water that had collected in her mouth and wiped her face. Kakashi was surprised to see her since she usually calls when she comes over.
"[Name]? What're you doing here?" He asked, kneeling down by the edge.
"Kakashi finally you're here!" She says happily, her arms outstretched to him. "Help me out."
He grabs her arms and pulls, causing her body to fall on top of his.
"Thanks," she says. "Now can I borrow your jacket?"
Kakashi looks her over once and realizes that's she's naked. He switches positions so [Name] was now on the bottom.
"What the hell is wrong with you?! Why are you naked?!" Kakashi questions, ripping off his jacket and wrapping her in it.
"I um...I didn't have my swim suit, and I really really wanted to go swimming," she pouts. "I haven't had the luxury of swimming in years."
As they both stood up, Kakashi let's out a sigh. "Let's hurry and get you inside before you catch a cold."
...
"So you came over here because Pein refused to leave? I don't see how you could ever marry such a childish man," Kakashi says as she dries herself off.
"We were young and in love. He was the bad boy and I was the even badder girl," [Name] says as her highschool memories came flooding back.
"Badder isn't a word darling." Kakashi chuckles, while preparing two hot cups of tea.
"Whatever."
[Name] looked around his house again; nothing had changed. The walls were still plain and the color scheme was still grey, white and black.
"You should probably get dressed," Kakashi says while handing her a cup of tea. "A woman shouldn't be naked in front of a man for too long."
She let's out a melodramatic sigh. "I guess my dream to become a nudist will never be achieved!"
"Hurry up before I pounce on you," he responds only half joking.
"Well I guess I should take my time," she coos, running a finger along his jaw.
[Name] had zero worries when she was with Kakashi. Her kids were being taken care of, and she was taking time off work; hakuna matata.
She felt so free...
...
A/N: I'm proud of myself. I hope this was a good chapter. I should be updating more today (hopefully) since I took off from school.
